oooooh, ouch. you're gonna need walk a couple dozen minutes, aren't you (if you don't waste precious eva fuel). oh wait, you ran out of fuel. silly me!
-
hehe. that is pretty silly, even by jeb's standards.
-
close enough. do u have a whole lot of colors? edit: wait, what? no save function? you rlly do need to work on it more.
-
awesome! i suck at anything to do with flag building, so this is a really exciting prospect to me! i don't care if it only has 10 shapes, can you release a really, really alpha version? thx!
-
who like explosions
-
if only i had the guts to build something big enough to hold something like a rover...
-
why don't you rename the post "Explosions With a Hypothesis" or something? tht would bring more attention.
-
Witchcraft!!! actually tht is the most cool stock craft i have ever seen. keep on building!
-
I haven't even left the atmosphere...
-
oh my gosh that deserves first place now
-
wow....165.9m/s... my record 50 and i thought THAT was fast...

i would like to request a vtol that is more stable than my mini vtol, and its not that stable but i want it to run on two engines and u'll see the props with my plane kinda quick. hint: the engines are the only things keeping that thing in the air
-
that doesnt look like it could fly
-
kinda boring but thats how u play
-
well i designed a VTOL called the hummingbird since hummingbirds can hover and whatnot.... well, lets cut to the chase. this jet is a turbine(damned aerospace) powered VTOL. its lift rating isn't very high so u should always keep its nose pointed up. now, time to get serious.
how to start flying: activate the jet but keep the throttle off. tilt the turbines using 9 and 0 to a vertical position. increase throttle slowly with AP on. then once you are about 100 to 200 meters in the air turn the turbines forward. its OK if the jet starts tilting up when u do it. its actually good cause it will keep the jet from starting to lose altitude and it WILL lose altitude.(don't try to fly off the runway like a normal jet like i said the turbines are the only thing lifting it up so its hard to do it without tilting the turbines up a little. to land it its vice versa
now pics.
this is a pic of it on stand by
this is it starting to take off. its unstable at first but you'll get the hang of it.
this is after i switched into horizontal mode.
this is where i fly off into the night.
i was coming in for an aproach
i failed to land and flipped

if u want something that does not have to waste weight and can land multiple times, use a tilting engine VTOL. they are hard to make and unstable, but worth it in the end. i suggest tilting engines on the wings or on the fuselage then the wing attaches to the engine if this makes any sense u can make a tilt engine VTOL.

this would be epic and the system el is not quite multiplayer its syncing game sessions and not actual live gameplay like dogfights.(oh dogfights how i love u )
-
this is an insanely silly thread. i like it!
-
thx cap this should help
-
when the forum hadn't moved it was easy to attach stuff now its almost impossible to know where stuff goes. pls help
-
like suzaku said u shouldtry a horizontal takeoff and u might have balance issues.
-
good this is gonna need to lift about 20 tons into the air but 15 is ok. oh, how cntrolled is it when u fly it with 15 tons?
-
keeping space junk in the atmosphere has ts problems too because what if it survives?(or that u have a bunch of carriers to launch boats into the water...)then u cause a lot of lag if u have a lot of space junk in the area u are looking at. the best solution is to get a mod for this there is one that can be remotely detonated once u drop the stage but the prob is u need to put it on first so it wont work for pre-existing space junk
-
hm how are u gonna angle it without blowing it up?
You will go to space today

can u make a picture of liftoff? considering how good this picture is, a pic of a rocket launch would be beautiful.
