  1. Thanks for all these nice replies lol, but it's for free and comes in infinite amount ^^ maybe I can release it as download as well This post made my day XD (but I hope you are still alive of course )
  2. Hey, have you ever been dreaming about to be like Lone Starr and his companion Barf and to travel to the stars in a spaceballs like camper? ... So here is your chance: The download file contains a SSTOCC that is completely build out of stock parts. assigned action groups: 1: toggle atomic engine 2: toggle jet engine 3: toggle intake set 1 4: toggle intake set 2 5: landing legs 6: gears Finally some additional information, the space craft has no capsule for Kerbals, just two seats, but a unmand command module. So it is easy for you to try around or to go directly to space without Kerbalnauts. But be careful, at supersonic speed the camper tends to yaw and in space it tends to pitch down a bit... but actually it is still very well controllable for a space camper Additionally I captured some videos about a journey to Mun in this vehicle. The first video shows how to get into a orbit around Kerbin. In the second Lone Starr and Barf started their transfer to Mun, but before they had a short stop at a gas station... these two guys wanted some perry air anyway XD... and finally their landing. DOWNLOAD CAMPER CRAFT FILE Other Craft files: Trucks or at www.aurigacity.com may the schwartz be with you!
  3. Finally I can say I made it ... with a spaceballs inspired camper craft
  4. Thanks for this great tutorial, for me it was the best SSTO tutorial I have seen so far. I was able to build a small space plane a couple of month ago, but your tutorial gave me some extra knowledge to be able to build some more larger and "unusual" stuff:D thanks a lot.
  5. That is exactly what I like about this game as well, you can build so many things its awesome:D Well, while I was creating the "US" one I had a truck like this in my mind: So, personally for me this is more a typical USA truck model. For the "European" one I had a Scania, like this in my mind: They are very common here in Europe, so thats the reason why I call it european. I have never heard that these trucks are also common in the USA? Sorry if I made a mistake I know, Jeff Bird told me a couple of posts ago, these type of truck is called "cab over". So I googled cab over and found trucks like this: Actually, these kinds of trucks are still different to the ones you can see here in Europe.
  6. Wow, looks really realistic, good job
  7. Hey everyone, finally I added a huge truck update to my first post . Most important changes: I completely redesigned the european truck and the fuel trailer as well. Now both have a more realistic appearance and the hitch have the right hight above the ground. I added gears and a command module to the trailer, now it is possible to hook up and off the trailer where ever you want. And I created a second truck, a US truck with a new trailer as well. Both work the same way like the others and trailers a compatible to both trucks, so you can switch them if you like Btw. in this video below I explored the new Space Center in my new US truck: Happy trucking
  8. And another work in progress screen I will release both trucks for download soon
  9. Hey Guys, a little update from me I still work on that truck update and on a second truck model, a US truck. Here is a little preview, still work in progress: The US truck have a way more realistic scale and look as my first european cab over one. So I think will completely redesign the first one to bring both more in line
  10. thx for your suggestions I think that's a good idea to use a action group to set the wheels to a more realistic way, powered in the back and just steering in the front. Yes, the acceleration is really powerful at the moment but the top speed is quiet realistic, it's around 23 m/s this is almost 83 km/h. That's what I'm already trying, because I was not satisfied with this "brutal" method. With a more gentle technique I should be able to remove the second wheel in the back, for more realism. Ok, when the updated truck is ready I will post it here
  11. Thanks a lot guys ^^Yea, that's the reason why I've builded this truck. Before my life feels empty and useless but been a Kerbaltruckernout changed my life. :sticktongue: and absolutely, driving this thing on Mun would be awesome XD
  12. Hey everyone, finally here is the truck update. I redesigned the european one and created a US truck. Both are much better scaled and more realistic as my first try. I also improved the trailer, I added gears and a command module. Now it is possible to hook up and off the trailer when and where ever you want. If you like you can switch trailers as well, they are compatible. Explanation how to hook up/ off the trailer is in this video (Btw. what can be a better way to explore the new 0.21 space center as with a truck, Yay): So, have you ever dreamed of being a Kerbaltruckernout? Here is your chance: 1. EUROPEAN TRUCK AND FUEL TRAILER: The download file contains: A stock parts european truck: assigned action groups 1: dimmed headlights 2: full beam 3: realistic driving mode (toggle: locked steering for back wheels, no engine for front wheels) 5: toggle leaders and a stock parts fuel trailer: assigned action groups 4: realistic driving mode (toggle: locked steering and engine for wheels) both docked to a loading bay 2. US TRUCK AND TRAILER: The download file contains: A stock parts US truck: assigned action groups 1: dimmed headlights 2: full beam 3: realistic driving mode (toggle: locked steering for back wheels, no engine for front wheels) and a stock parts trailer: assigned action groups 4: realistic driving mode (toggle: locked steering and engine for wheels) CRAFT FILES: Truck_EU.zip Truck_US.zip Or from my blog: http://www.aurigacity.com/?page_id=516 Happy trucking finally the old version: Download craft file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/98088/ksp/craft/Truck.craft
  13. Hi guys, I added the final chapter to the first post. Now the whole Station is finished A big thx to everyone here, for reading and watching my mission reports and for all the feedback. Now I'm thinking about to release the Station as download but I'm not sure what will be the best way, there are two options: The easiest for me would be to release every craft file of every section of the station, including their launch vehicle, as some kind of "construction kit". The second option is to rebuild the whole space station in the VAB and release it as on craft file, but this would be a lot of work... However, I hope you enjoyed my report and maybe we will see us again on a mission to Jool.
  14. I agree with TheSuperintendnt. Personally I don't like to use MechJeb anymore because I have a lot of fun while I fly my stuff manually But in my early ksp days I tried MechJeb because I had a lot of problems to get things into space. MechJeb taught me a lot about how to fly a rocket. @Goldmas: Yes, I think could do this
  15. Thx @ TheRabbit I've added a new chapter, chapter 6, to my first post. Apparently there is a maximum of 5 videos in one post, so I've started to replace older videos with links leading to the youtube page.
