  1. The asterisks make it even worse, IMO
  2. For me, 40 is weather that I don\'t have the tolerance to go outside in. My immune system acts up around 20-25 and I get blocked sinuses and the like. 30 and I get pretty badly sunburned. 40 and I literally can\'t stand the heat and will stay inside with the windows all open, a fan beside me and a litre or more of iced lemon juice.
  3. Radion, any updates? Not to sound impatient, but I can barely wait for the forum to coem back up
  4. For me, 5 degrees Celcius is a cold day, 12 is a bit chilly, 18 is warm, and the low twenties are Hell-On-Earth
  5. Well, if we can create a material with no weight...
  6. Or, use the Mayan system of 20s. It can be divided by 1, 2, 4, 5, 10 and 20

    Mars-one

The difference is that these guys will have food and (hopefully) will be provided with a means of getting oxygen from the martian atmosphere (if there even is oxygen in the martian atmosphere)
  8. Heh, my basic German makes me read that as 'Mister Man'. Is that right?
  9. It\'s raining. It\'s always raining. When it\'s not raining, it\'s so bloody hot that you die or so bloody cold you\'ll die. Our weather is always extreme during exam times. I use 'Aye' more than 'Yes' in real life. I use 'Sure' to start sentences like, 'Sure, we can always pray for better weather'. I regularly make jokes about the English. Nearby chapels get paintbombed every second day. Holy frack, I\'m Northen Irish.
  10. It\'s not. Clouds. A celestial event that happens only once every century or so, and we miss it because of the fucking clouds.
  11. Erm, if we can make requests, then the only thread I\'d miss would be my nation page. Could I have it saved and uploaded if possible?
  12. Oh, Radion, do you have the text out of the nation pages? It\'d be a pain to rewrite it all.
  13. The point it that it\'s neigh impossible, unless you are effectively a god at KSP. The challenge stands for all versions, so perhaps when we eventually get docking it\'ll be eaiser? Who knows?
  14. Oh no. This is: Get into the sun\'s SOI Land on Minmus Land back on Kerbin Back to the sun\'s SOI Land on Kerbin again Land on the Mun Land on Kerbin the last time. In that order, no cheat parts.
  15. (yes, this is a spoof) Fuel. Boosters. LFEs. Jets. My grandmother used to tell me stories of the old days. A time of peace when the Thrillmaster kept balance between the Fuel tribes, Booster kingdom, LFE nation and Jet nomads. But that all changed with the LFEs attacked. Only the Thrillmaster could master all four rocket types. Only he could stop the ruthless LFEs. But when Kerbin needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years have passed and the LFE nation is nearing victory in the war. Two years ago, my father and the men of my tribe left to fight against the LFE nation, leaving me and my brother to look after our tribe. Some people believe that the Thrillmaster was never born into the jet nomads and that the cycle was broken, but I haven\'t lost hope. I still believe that somehow, the Thrillmaster will be reborn, and will save Kerbin! And yes, I ripped this directly from the intro to a certain TV show and changed a few words. Fuel is for water, boosters for Earth, LFEs for fire and Jets for air.
  16. Pretty sure the engine is the grey thing at the bottom.
  17. Pretty sure Kelvin still counts as Metric, as it uses the metric temperature system. A mile is the only metric I use, and even then only because the nearest shop to me is almost exactly a mile away.
  18. I\'ve got a challenge. Go from Kerbin, to kolar orbit, land on Minmus, then Kerbin, go back to kolar orbit, land on Kerbin, then the Mun and finally back to Kerbin again. Fastest time wins. If done with stock, your time is halved. You want a challenge? Here it is. The ultimate test of engineering and piloting skill. You must provide pics. 'Cheat' parts are not allowed. Go.
  19. It\'s going to take a shitton of money to keep that maintained, and who\'s going to pay for it?
  20. Soon...soon... Any progress reports, Radion?
  21. In my mind, I\'d always round that to half a meter for visualisation purposes. I find it nearly impossible to visualise any imperial unit other than a mile, and that\'s only because it happenes to be exactly a mile from my house to the nearest shop. Hell, my dad and many of his friends fly microlites, and all of them use metric instead of the 'proper aviation imperial system' because it\'s far easier to visualise metric units, and because almost all of their flight instruments have metric units on them. If they can\'t get them in metric, I know at least a few who have modified theirs to show metric as well. Hell, even the country that spread imperial around the world now uses metric.
