  1. I saw this joke going round Youtube for the last few days involving coffee, microphones, food etc. Understandable how it must be hard to get used to gravity again after 6 months
  2. Simply amazing, how about an upgrade with more Cannons? Even though it was in my own thread I still think spiritually this belongs here I would say it was an 80% improbable design... Still not too sure what good it will do
  3. I prefer pulling, it produces less wobble than balancing a payload and pushing it without struts. But if I am building from the VAB then pushing in the obvious option with the ability to strut the pieces together.

    Gravity

We only see a few pieces burning up in the trailer so that could be plausible, looks like a good film nonetheless, as long as it was done properly
  5. Sorry to bump my post but this is just too much fun Been Goofing around again and got a Kerbal in there now and the view from the cockpit is nauseating to say the least. I also added all the science parts to the cockpit to do some science stuff. I got some good readings and the highest force old Macbro Kerman experienced was 12G's. Lets just say that's not all I did... This 30 second clip is the reason why I love KSP so much. Nowhere else can I fling little green men into towers Nope This may be closer I will edit post the craft file and stuff tomorrow.
  6. It starts it's phantom rotation as soon as the flight starts, there is no way to stop it either :/ If I can pinpoint the cause I may be able to control it This is why I love this game so damn much
  7. Thanks :L I thought it fit the theme well and I was in a rush to get the video up Nope, none on this ship specifically but I do have a few mods installed namely KW, Robot arm and protractor. I might have to use Sub Assembley soon to get a cockpit view, might be useful for reasons
  8. So I was playing some KSP the other day and came across this... With some special "Kerbal Engineering" our engineers managed to create this monster Originally intended to be a high orbit relay satellite for communications some alteration during dish extraction caused a chain reaction of rotation. Who wants a go? *If this needs moving go ahead, I wasn't sure where it belonged myself

    Gravity

What about a collision? Could the impact of a piece of debris deorbit the station, or at least part of it in case of a glancing blow?

    Gravity

It's meant to be something visually and aurally pleasing which it does well and science doesn't always have to apply to films. I agree it might be cringe-worthy for people with an interest in Space but maybe this is a good thing for the public to see to bring the issue of Space debris to the masses :L
  11. Just got the strangest image in my head of a Kerbal duckface
  12. I read somewhere (Don't know the exact source) that the ideal environment for working and living in space would be 0.3-0.4G, so you still have effects of gravity working on your body but moving in space is easier than 1G.
  13. Alt + W key will set your trim which holds acceleration as far as I know, you can disable it with Alt + X.
  14. Mathematics can get pretty boring if you have nothing to apply it too, but use equations and sums for something you are interested in (say science) and it becomes bearable...
  15. ^ Pretty much that, I had bad experiences back in the day of KSP crashing on SOI switch so I always do one then, and after every major stage in my flight.
  16. Even 20m/s is fast considering the environment, also for steering make sure you are driving in docking mode, it really helps reduce flipping and other torque related nasty accidents.
  17. Got banned from a Chivalry server for feinting too much
  18. I know Elon specifically said (One of the Youtube interviews easily found by searching) the long term goal for SpaceX is Mars and the Moon is not a high priority, although he wouldn't say no to a customer wanting to go there M Maybe NASA could hitch a ride there.
  19. Shouldn't it serve as an inspiration for other Mod makers or people who want to get involved, to realize that talent can be rewarded and great content can be made with it? I don't see this harming the Modding community at all. We are seeing Squad grow from a small team to a (hopefully ) successful developer and that is a good thing in my opinion. I also don't see the parts being directly copy pasted as stock, but the quality of the Mod should represent what could be done with, not only the help of the team but time and attention to create an awesome Space plane overhaul

    1:1 Planets?

I think he meant POV, as far as I know you can't change your FOV

    1:1 Planets?

    Middle mouse button and drag
  22. I used to play on a laptop back when there was only the Mun, but after burning my leg with the overheating and with the need for a replacement desktop I bit the bullet and bought a fairly good entry level gaming PC
