Sorry about that. Didn't know that the picture was referencing the other Bismarck.
-
The Bismarck and the Tripitz feel insulted.

A super battleship... just don't forget to patch all of the weak spots. Should I embark on the Bismark... I bet Zeke knows what it did to the HMS Hood. This is what happens when you don't armor the magazine.

Join the club! I need to have something else to accompany my independence class lcs vessel.
-
I wonder how well your vessel would fare against my new cruise missiles. I think I'll be right back... Wait, my desktop is inaccessible right now. I guess I'll test it against another ship. I now know that using trimaran type hulls drastically reduces the total part count. I should make a trimaran naval aircraft carrier with a full flight deck and start assembling a carrier task force to... spread democracy... hehe.

What's sad is the LOKI used by the federation is a nerfed version of the actual ODIN. I want 8 ton tungsten rods, not 800 kg tungsten darts. Also, I used to play mw2. IMO, last cod worth playing until BF3 and BFBC2 came out.
-
Also, that ship might get bone-shaking (cracking) sonar... quite literally. http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Aegis-class_combat_ship I was actually referring to call of duty Ghosts... but since I never played it , I guess this would also fit.

Ah yes... We may have discretely developed a 6th gen vtol fighter-bomber... I might actually have to make the jet smaller. I'm not a good enough pilot to land jets accurately in vtol flight mode. The cruise missile is performing admirably. Extreme accuracy mixed in with a huge amount of kinetic energy. The ODIN Prototype. The first model was retired after it proved it actually worked with a single demonstration shot. (There was also a classified accident involving a federation hijacking of the station, forcing us to deorbit it.) Damaged ODIN before being deorbited. The federation will pay.

Not trying to hijack this thread. Do you want to try out my ship, zekes? I can release the craft soon. This is my most favored ship. Introducing, the Basalt cruise missile. It has a very low rcs signature along with a lightly shielded engine section to reduce heat emissions for ir sensors. It is very accurate and has a range easily exceeding 100 km. RATO boosters are also used on take off. The LCS Independence can make extremely tight turns at over 32 m/s. Part count with weapons, including advanced cruise missiles, is 400. The trimaran hull really does reduce hydrodynamic drag. Thank you for the R & D, General Dynamics. One of the wheels I used to drive into the water got stuck and quickly took off a part of the ship. I was surprised to see it still going after loosing a large part of the internal hull, and it still handled better than any of my other ships!

All right. I finally got a working supersonic cruise missile I can stick on a light vessel. Introducing, the Basalt cruise missile. I see we both have ship based cruise missiles. A much more modernized edition of this is going into my independance class lcs.
-
I believe that making it lighter could correlate with less parts. That's how I reduced a 700 part destroyer to 360 parts with the weapons attached for space based combat.
-
I reduced my heaviest vessels to under 150 tons. My independence is also a surprisingly light ship with part count, even with the weird hull configuration. I also found a way to make naval torpedoes. The concept is quite similar to supercavitating torpedoes.
-
I already have a new ODIN analogue, but I can't find the picture button on this macbook pro. Not to mention the constant crashing. Anyways, I plan on making a new naval vessel, preferably a streamlined one. Maybe I can create another arleigh burke replica, but this time without the excessive parts to complement the in-progress independence lcs.

We have plenty of motherships in the builder forums. For example, my unsc paris class. The UNSC Pillar of Autumn old prototype.
-
I was trying to get my sidewinder missiles to be more accurate, and I got consistent misses in the cep of 1.8 m. I also got a few in 0.2-0.1 m.

The ciws would just be a small novelty. It could double up as an anti speedboat or seaplane weapon if made carefully.
-
I am. That ciws is what I decided to work on to integrate on my vessel. I also made a last resort anti ship missile platform. This is actually quite old and due for an update.
-
This little gadget fires 4500 pieces of depleted uranium per minute. And it can shoot your shells in mid flight. I now have an excuse to make a ciws. Or at least the best I can with the lack of moving parts.
-
Ah yes. Time to get on topic. My vessel will include a rudimentary landing pad. No landing hook included. Just not like the last mission of just cause 2.
-
It's my own version of the Harpoon anti ship missile. Except for the fact I modeled it off of an anti aircraft missile with a turbine jet engine. In modern days, we fight with these. Look at this unhappy vessel.

The independence is receiving a new toy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RIM-8_Talos

Anyways, I believe my naval fleet needs a little overhaul. Time to make this:
