I believe I've finally hit a sweet spot. This isn't a giant ship at 80 tons, and not part heavy at under 300 parts while being both maneuverable, decent ranged, extremely well armored, and carrying above average weapons capacity along with plenty of power. It even has a honeycomb decentralized structural design to ensure enhanced survivability and to look cool. In two trial runs, it fell at over 100 m/s and sustained minor damages with both the fuel tank and engines intact and operational, while in a 120 m/s drop it lost the fuel tank and engines, but the whole ship was otherwise unscathed. If we found those bugs, and released the data, the developers would take notice and patch it. Unless there's some fundamental flaw in KSP's code, this will be an update by update endeavor.

By my own system, the top ship is an Interpreter Class War Cruiser while the bottom one is a Shiv Class Stealth Destroyer. In the Halo universe, the top one is an UNSC Carrier. The bottom one is unknown, but thought to be in the same class as the UNSC Point Of No Return. (The Point Of No Return is ONI's mobile headquarters while also being the largest prowler class vessel ever built, or known. It even has a conference room called Odin's Eye, which is concealed within a Faraday Cage and seamless doors.)

The engines will be vacuum energy driven, reverse engineered from forerunner engines. Or I just slapped some archers in them for kraken based propulsion. Stealth is the key work here. If you really want to be insane, put signature amplifiers like foil and cesium into the payload along with a trajectory to China from Montana. Don't forget the heatshields, we need to make it look like a minuteman 3 with MIRVS, which were supposedly decommissioned by START. You should aim for Beijing. It would create more fanfare.

If you want to reach anywhere near the Karman Line, let alone LEO, the only option would be hydrogen peroxide. It's very powerful, if you leave out the inconvenient fact that it has blown off many fingers after being exposed to catalysts such as micro dirt and dust.

Those big biz corporations do have an interest in long term survival, while Chinese state owned corporations seem interested in crippling international entities and picking up their ip for virtually no money. Just look at the South Korean car companies that got lapped up by the Chinese Politburo during the Asian financial crisis, do you really think that they would hesitate to purchase intellectual property from IBM and General Electric through a fake foreign proxy company if the opportunity presented itself? My point is, China is not a sneaky player. While the Soviets took great strides to cover up their copycat activities, such as purchasing F-5 wreckages for reverse engineering, the Chinese make aggressive economic takeovers. This means NASA is going to have a hell of a time helping American private space companies. Our space technology is quite advanced, and the Chinese wouldn't hesitate to lap up private American space companies if they suddenly imploded. This could work as an incentive for NASA to try harder in space travel. And that was a rant.

My super heavy dropship will enter construction when I have time. Which is in over a month, unfortunately, due to my schedule. It requires some stabilization along with performance enhancements. I must also get working on the Infinity along with its new escort ships, one of which is the Trafalgar class dreadnought vessel and its offshoot, the MacArthur class cruiser with an experimental propulsion system. The Mechanicus did not influence the Trafalgar in any way... hehe...
