  1. To each his own. I, for instance, like to break things like array literals across multiple lines; and if I have several related assignment statements in a row, I like to have them line up. I often give related variable names with the same number of characters so they all line up nice. Using a variable-width font would mess all those things up and drive me crazy, but if that's the way you like to do it, I'm not going to tell you it's wrong. I'll just never work at your machine
  2. But... But... It's not monospaced
  3. Museums only have so much room, and there is a lot of hardware that's been into space and back. A lot of items like these are already in museums, and it's entirely possible that some of these items are former museum pieces that got replaced with other things.
  4. I tried to reply to your post in Comic Sans, but it appears to not work here
  5. Put your hands away, and stop saying "****"!!
  6. I also expect that perma-death will be a base feature of career mode. Since Kerbals will eventually have skills that will improve over time, it makes sense that if you kill one, you should lose all the work you've put into it. Since there is only a finite number of names available, they could handle duplicate names by appending suffixes (so when you kill Ferlorf Kerman, you eventually get his son Ferlorf Kerman Jr., then Ferlorf Kerman III, etc). Or, they could let duplicate names happen and just reset the stats. Either way
  7. Ah, you sneaky bugger! This was the first thing that came to mind. Sounds like an interesting challenge. I'm going to give it a shot
  8. Engines need to have some elements added to them in Unity in order to work in the game. Check the modding boards for more info
  9. It's most common use case is probably in the phrase "I'm an idiot" Also, this completely misses the words most used together on this forum: "I'm not a programmer, but..."
  10. I just use wget like a normal person
  11. That's a great selection. Definitely shows enough detail to work from. It is going to be a while before I'll have time to sit down with it, so if anbybody else wants to give these a go, don't be afraid to.
  12. Oh, FFS! Well, that ought to teach me a lesson to read things more carefully. Well, I'm not going to go back and spend any more time on this one. OP, if you want me to I'll remove my post to save some space. Let me know
  13. Yikes. I had just made a plane this morning that had great speed and was really easy to land, so I retrofitted it with the pizza box and tried it over and over again. The combination of trying to do it fast along with trying to take screenshots along the way just killed me. I finally made a successful delivery, then crashed on return. The sad demise of the PizzaBoy1: So I scrapped that design and started from scratch, with a little less engine and a lot less fuel, and suceeded on the first test run, although it was a little bit hairy at times. I present the flight of the PizzaBoy2. All stock. Total round trip: 7:22. Taking off with our tasty payload: Coming in for a landing. Forgot to switch to chase mode, so I was wildly swinging the camera around to line it up: But I managed to get it down. Fortunately as it turns out this thing likes to stay in the air, so I actually had to force the nose down to bring it in. You can also see PizzaBoy1's delivery in the background here: Stopped And delivered! I didn't have a lot of runway left by the time I rolled to a stop, but I managed to get her back into the air Now where's that cursed runway? (I decided during the course of this mission that we really need waypoint indicators. It would make lining up on the runway SO much easier) Landed! And just a one dollar tip. Cheapskates!
  14. I could take a crack at it (and I'm sure there would be others who are willing to as well). But, I can't find any good images of it that give enough detail to work from (granted, this was just from a ten-minute google search). If you could point us to either a diagram that gives some dimensions (doesn't have to be anything too detailed, just something that shows the exterior shape), or even better if you have a 3d-model of it; then either myself or someone else here could probably do a nice replica of it for you Welcome to the forums!
  15. Judging by what Ascensiam said at the end there, it sounds like there's something pretty serious going on, and it sounds like there's a lot of frayed nerves among those who are in the know. So let me say for myself that I hope whatever it is works out; I wish you all the best; and I hope you all understand that despite the amount of whining and complaining that comes out of these forums a lot of the time, that the majority of us out here think you are doing a great job, we understand that sometimes people make mistakes, and we appreciate the fact that you are all working hard to create something great for everyone to enjoy.
  16. Yes. Look at the formula at the end of that section.
  17. This youtube video that DR posted to his channel yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6c14CvC-8A
  18. Actually, I don't even think that's the case. It's been a while since I took modern physics, but I believe that any experiment that actually measures the relative speeds of the two craft, even if performed in Earth's reference frame, would result in the correct value of .96c
  19. Their portraits disappear once they go into the hitchhiker though. Left clicking on the hatch is the way to do it
  20. TIE Advanced (Vader's ship). It's from a few versions back, as you can tell if you look closely. I'll have to try it again in 0.19. It flew amazingly.
  21. Short answer: no, your inclination about Kerbin will not be the same as your inclination about the Sun after the SOI change
  22. Hmm. shows you how good my powers of recall are. When your memory goes, forget it.
  23. Nope. Jr only docks to other Jr's, but the standard clamp-o-tron, the shielded version, and the in-line version can all be docked with each other
