Diferences in time warp types
Pursuedtank replied to UH60guy's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Physics warp is the only warp available in atmosphere and only goes up to 4 times. It is a warp that you can use to reduce the time you have to sit through for long burns, and can be accessed outside the atmosphere by holding alt and using the full stop (period) and comma buttons. The other timewarp puts your craft "on rails" and means that you can reduce the time that it takes you to get to other planets or getting to an intercept. -
There is no way to dump fuel, you could try to attach an engine or two and use that to drain the fuel, then dump the engine off the craft.

Spaceplane Keeps Flipping Over Mid-Takeoff
Pursuedtank replied to Shiloh8686's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I can't actially see the screenshots. You'll have to upload then to an image hosting site like imgur and then copy the BB code to your post. I can't help much without seeing pictures. Is the center of thrust off line with the center of mass? If so that might be the reason why. -
You'll want to go into your KSP folder, gamedata, squad, parts, engine. Then Find the engine that you want to edit and open that folder, then open up the part file using a text editor like notepad on windows. Search the file and under Module somewhere it should say maxthrust = and then a number. Change that number to what you want and the thrust will be that powerful. Baring in mind the mainsail is 1500 thrust.

How to divide by zero (100% real)
Pursuedtank replied to AncientAstronaut's topic in Science & Spaceflight
I expected the universe to break down when he said what the answer was, massive explosions, the works. But in all seriousness, I'm pretty sure he is wrong. -
I'm surprised that nobody has said this, but as soon as you stop focusing on the ship after launch, you can't revert it. So it is not an all powerful tool. Besides the restart flight button that we used to have did exactly the same thing, it reverted back to the launch and put everything back how it was.

12 Regenerations, 13 incarnations. So there will be one more at least after Peter Capaldi. I think Capaldi might stay for a while, he is in the point in his career that leading roles are quite rare, and he himself is a massive fan. He is more likely to stay for longer as he probably isn't going to get into major film roles, which seems to be why people leave the role now.

It depends how you clarify winning the race. If you consider a manned moon landing the "finish line" then yes, the US won the space race. If you consider the space race a list of achievements, with the most achievements achieved first then the US didn't win.

I would wait until you got some official guidance, you could try contacting squad directly, I remember not long ago, someone tried to make a small game but had to change things slightly due to copyright problems that could have resulted, they had to change Jebediah to Jedebiah for instance.

How to "End Flight" in 0.21
Pursuedtank replied to Rex3921's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
There is no end flight button any more as this is physically impossible in the real world. You can now go into the tracking station and have two options, recover and terminate. Any craft landed on Kerbin can be recovered which will bring the crew back so they can be used again in another mission. Terminate can be used anywhere and will remove a craft, but will kill all Kerbals on board. They can both be located in the bottom right, terminate is an X while recover is a crane. This is for the career mode update. -
Yes, it is not possible. An orbit is just having enough speed so that as something falls, it misses the ground, because it curves away from it. so the higher the orbit the slower the orbit. Lagrange point do occur in real life, which are the result of gravity of separate bodies creating a place you can essentially orbit around, however as the game only calculates gravity from one body at a time, it is impossible in the game.

Papers, Please is now in preorder! Glory to Arstotzka!
Pursuedtank replied to Dexee's topic in The Lounge
Apparently you can turn the nudity off anyway, at least in the full version. And Yeah I think I will be getting it. -
It is not possible to make a craft bigger than around 2.5 km across, as this would go outside the current physics range. It would be difficult in real life as well, as it would be unstable in any gravity fluctuations.

They are quite easy to find, a quick google search is all it takes. Damned Robotics hasn't been updated for a while, however there is a new updated version called infernal robotics. B9 Aerospace. KSPX. KAS.

Incredibly Stupid, Clumsy, and/or Painful Things You Have Done
Pursuedtank replied to bigyihsuan's topic in The Lounge
One time I stood way too close behind my brother when he was playing golf. He swung the club and it hit me in the forehead about an inch above my left eye. End result was four stitches for a few weeks, and a hatred of golf ever since. -
After The main page, the forum, The Reddit Page, Space Port, two video's and the wikipedia page, I get KSP world Tour which apparently is a "rider driven kite surf world championship tour".

1) what moment made you say: "I have to buy this"? When I first found out about the game. I knew I would enjoy it. 2) How hard was it to really get going? Well After I got over my initial trouble of putting the decoupler in the same stage as the rocket engines it was fairly easy. 3) Setting up space stations and bases by what I read seem a real challenge, are they? After you play the game for a while it is quite easy. The real challenge in space stations is learning to dock and that only takes an afternoon at most 4) when exiting the planets atmosphere should you go at a angle to get a semi circle orbit? Yes You should, On Kerbin after about 8000 to 12000 meters you should slowly tip over, called a gravity turn. 5) Is it possible to make an actual "spaceship"? i.e can enter/exit orbits and have interplanetary travel. Yes

Help on lifter design
Pursuedtank replied to luchelibre's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Yes, I am wondering this too. I have used Far before and asparagus staging has worked fine, so why would an overhaul remove the ability to asparagus. -
Nothing will effect the applicants that apply, as they are randomly generated. It does not effect anything yet. THe courage and stupidity levels don't affect anything either, but might if crews become trainable.

I am from London, which I'm sure most people know is the capital of the UK. More specifically the south east of London, near to Kent. London has a long history as a capital of England, which it took from Colchester thousands of years ago. It has a population of 8 million or 12 million, depending on which measure you use. It could have even more people, however the boundaries are very blurred. Even where I live I am in both London and Kent. My real name is Benjamin, which means Benjamin in English.

Erm, I don't think you mean planet, Try moon. But yeah It's defiantly Minmus, You can see it quite often.

is this safe to do
Pursuedtank replied to chrischambers's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I have no idea if this would work. What you could do however is make a copy of the craft file, then remove the parts from the copy. If that works then great, but if not then you still have a copy. It shouldn't mess up your game either. -
Say it here if .21 works perfectly for you
Pursuedtank replied to stupid_chris's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Give It a chance, will you. It was only 5 minutes between your comment and his comment. Yes the new update is great. Haven't been to the Mun yet, just been messing around seeing what is new first hand. But it all looks great from where I am. The SAS works fine as well.
