the GPU doesnt matter that much on KSP as long as it's not onboard i already run all versions since 1.0.0 (server AND game) on my FX-8150 3.9GHz without any issues launched 500 parts space station normally there were lots of sync issues and engine shutdowns, but not lag the server can really run on a potato (did it whilist playng BF4 and didnt even notice), as long as people with mods or wrong versions dont try to get in to crash it

increase ISP of LV-1 and LV-1R
tetryds replied to thereaverofdarkness's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
i never did it but its actually a good idea to set them to action groups and use like controlled RCS sometimes you just need to stop spinning around and having to bring an RCS tank just for that is not worth -
and i just had the idea that the time it takes to build a rocket inflicts directly on the ship costs if you want a huge monstruosity ready for a duna transfer within 2 days you can have it just pay your engineers enough money if you want to go Mün whenever, just let them work without careing much about deadlines, for a lower cost THIS would really impact the gameplay, because we all expect time to matter in aspecs of money, and you will have to balance how long it will take to make a ship and how well you can keep up on that timelapse, of course, being abble to make missions on that time this would also require a rocket simulation (AKA timeless "fake" launch) to check if it wont explode on the launchpad you would choose either to skip to the frame the ship is ready or be warned by Von Kerman that its ready at the launchpad switch to it whenever you want and you good to go seems pretty smooth to me

Aerobraking lifts Ap? Bug?!?
tetryds replied to kurja's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
what about the phantom forces caused by control surfaces? any movement on the atmosphere can speed up the ship then -
people complain about this idea like if building a rocket in KSP CARRER would take months we are just talking about 2, max 3 days here its not like you wont have time to rescue Jeb floating around the Mun with few supplies and its not like you are going to lose lots of windows because of it but you will have to plan ahead if you leave a ship ready to intercept a SOI and want to launch another ship on the meanwhile this is just to add a bit of timelapse and realism to the game, right now its really weird i mean, you launch 10 missions within a day, then skip some months in a row just for a intercept with Jool that clearly doesnt seem right

the probe deorbited and landed at the moon without any extra stages? what an efficient fuel

few years ago a guy created a way to solve diferential equations involving air drag and variating gravity fields based on a spherical mass (or something like that) he didn't know it was impossible actually he did, but solved it anyway the ksp maths might be what you looking for AFAIK, mechjeb tries to determine that in a way, you should ask the creators of that mod

you know that ksp engines are nerfed if compared to real life ones, right? -
A distance from surface determiner.
tetryds replied to TYRT's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
that is also a good idea i belive it should be one of the toggle options -
A distance from surface determiner.
tetryds replied to TYRT's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
i would rather it to show S for surface distance R or RAD is not that logical, since the point of it is tell the newcomers what is going on so i would like to see a green for land and blue for sea and space, assuming the space altimeter shows the distance from sea level -
90 Degree rotated parts
tetryds replied to edwardc's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
ohh, thats a great idea the ladders and hatch should be round together with the module so it doesnt look weird though a new part with the same function of the hitchhiker but made for that kind of base would be great, as that is the only parts which allow crew storage -
i guess you talking about gravitational theory here if what you say happens like you say, answering that would require the graviton theory and the humanity still have no clue of how that works

actually, what is infinite at light speed is the kinectic energy, it doesn't change the rest mass if you lit up a flashlight in any situation, even faster than light, you would measure the light traveling at c its akward to comprehend, but if you theorically traveling faster than light relative to another physical body, you are warping back in time relatively to that object as well as that object is warping back in time relative to you the object would "see" your flashlight light beam traveling at c and you would see it traveling at c as well

A distance from surface determiner.

the different color is an amazing idea, it would also be very discrete but how to let the first-launch user know which is which? -
90 Degree rotated parts
tetryds replied to edwardc's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
and you can use WASDQE whilist holding shift for 5 degree increments -
A distance from surface determiner.
tetryds replied to TYRT's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
it should simply allow you to click the altimeter and toggle between surface and orbit altitudes whenever you want but you shouldnt be afraid of landing from IVA on a dark side of the mun without any lights its just like the normal rocket vision, without the rocket vision... just keep an eye on the navball and another on the altimeter, kill horizontal speed and go down slowly then cross your fingers to land on a flat spot (its not like you would find a flatstpot with 3rd person view of the rocket anyway) -
eu também mato pouco, mas é porque quando da algo errado eu aperto espaço igual um loco até o último estágio
