If you increase your Ram budget to 150 you can get some Monstrous Corsair Dominator Platinum 1866 Ram. High Quality, Very Fast, Very Overclockable. The GTX 760 just came out so i wouldnt believe all the benchmarks. If i were getting a GPU i would get a GTX 770 from EVGA w/ACX cooler. But either of those cards require a 600w PSU and a specific ammount of Amps form the 12v rail on the PSU. Never skimp on a PSU. For CPU cooler im going with a Phantec PH-TC14PE. The Phantek is a little better than the Noctua. Bigger fans, a coating on the cooling fins dissapates heat a little better, spacing of cooling fins that radiates the heat better. My Build.

The user Lobsterbark built a rig using the A10-5800K. The A10-6800K is a very nice tweak of an already good APU. He comes on the TeamSpeak server and seems to have all around good performance, most games on high settings. Plays KSP very well with a generous ammount of parts.

Building a new computer because of this wonderful game!

I would go for a Corsair PSU, I like quality of build. Regarded to many best in the buisness. That is a good CPU cooler for that CPU, 100% nesiccary IMHO if your going to get a haswell and even want to do a mild OC. The single core performance on that will make KSP very enjoyable. All in all looks like a great build. If you can find faster ram at that price i would recomend it, KSP loves Ram, KSP goes nuts over Fast Ram. Maybe come visit us at the KSP Computer Building Megathread? -
The builds are both good. The AMD build comes with a better GPU, The GTX 660 is a good GPU but the GTX 660 Ti is a little better. Its really up to you and your preferences of Intel/AMD.

After looking at the "Webhallen" listing a little closer, i have found it. Its a Radeon HD 8760, its specs can be found here.
-
On the contrary, users i have talked to that are using trinity/richland are doing very well in KSP. The computer in question is an intel machine, its specs can be found here for those who missed it. It may be a typo on the listers side, the american version fo that has a Nividia GT 640 for its GPU. Call the retailer and ask a couple questions. Of course having a Faster/Better/Powerful CPU will make KSP run/load faster, I havent seen any testing with higher clocked ram so maybe that will lead to some interesting results aswell.
-
From what i can gather about looking at the Parts and such. What takes the most time to load are the internals for KSP, as they are massive in file size. I have reports from people comparing loading times from an HDD vs. SSD vs. Ram Disk. The step from HDD to SSD is a noticable change in load time for some, Loading from an SSD vs. a Ram disk doesnt change loading times. Which is an odd occurance, but deal with it. When i get my rig together i will do some testing of loading KSP form different drives aswell as using Higher Clocked RAM. KSP caches parts to your RAM, so that 1Gb of Parts surely cant help the load times/performance. KSP as a game is CPU intensive, it doesnt take much to run ksp at a decetn rate.

What is this Graphics card in may i ask?, do you have a link to it?
-
Full size Graphics Card, Looks good to me. I updated your list. That PSU was a rip off, Added a CX600M PSU from Corsair, lower price, higher wattage, and an overall better quality part.
-
That is a heck of a deal. All the parts look good, Especially in that price range.
-
You've got to be kidding me. I've been further even more decided to use even go need to do look more as anyone can. Can you really be far even as decided half as much to use go wish for that? My guess is that when one really been far even as decided once to use even go want, it is then that he has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like. It's just common sense. I understand how the sky is blue. But now explain why the sky isnt purple.

Well, You are on Socket 1155. This is good as there are tons of good CPUs for that slot. You have a choice between the 3570S(70W) 3570(77w) and the 3570K(77w) All three are good CPUs with little monetary difference (~$1USD Difference across the three). The 3570S is under clocked to cut its wattage. The 3570 and 3570K are nearly the same accept the 3570K has an unlocked multiplier which makes it Overclockable, well more Overclockable than the 3570. The GTX 650 Ti is an upgrade from the GTX 550 Ti and will fit into the same slot. What kind of PSU are you running?, you may need to upgrade that aswell.

What socket you are using right now would be some awesome info. Intel chips seem to be good right now for single core performance. I would be very careful about OC a Haswell chip. Why not hop over to the KSP Computer Building MegaThread?

Sorry guys, If you need help please seek Professional Help.

Since i like cold hard facts and not here-say when it comes to this stuff. Here is a nice comparison tool, I have it pre set for the FX 6350 vs A10 6800K. It will do most planned and all current CPU and show you there stats no bias. Taa daa.
-
Looks like a good setup.
-
Well, its not really a downgrade in this build. the FX-4300 is a good CPU, But the difference is between if you want an APU(GPU is on the CPU die set) with no GPU, or get a CPU and a Discreet GPU. It all depends what you want to do, Richland(6800K) is a nice tweak to Trinity(5800K) and a lot of people are happy with the A10 series, You can always add a GPU to the A10 and still have a pretty good system.
-
If i understand correctly you have a them powered on the molex strings comming from the PSU? Try it, I dont like the idea of it but, if it doesnt power on you may need to upgrade your PSU.
-
I saw that. It means that the Board will have an open USB 3.0 Point. Which means that the Case doesnt come OEM with USB 3.0 in one of its expansion bays, but your board supports USB 3.0 Camcha brings up a good point about APU vs discreet graphics. But the CPU in your build is a bit dated and i dont think its worth investing in. if you can afford to spend a little more this may suffice?
-
This list i put together based upon your list, everything stayed accept for the board and processor. I changed the CPU to the AMD A10 6800K APU which has very good Price/Performance, Its a little cheaper than this build here. You build is fine, but that CPU isnt worth the investment imho.
-
Your supposed to use a 6 pin form your PSU to power it, Molex is the optional way to power it that seems to be hit or miss when it comes to working.
-
If that is true than there is plenty of power comming out of the PSU. Molex connectors are not made to do what you are doing with them. They were made to power optical drives and older hard drives, not a high performance GPU.
-
Whats going on now?, Did the system power down when trying to play a game?, Card not powering on? Fried the card? You probably need to get a new/better PSU, pre-built computers dont necessarily come with a strong enough PSU to power one more than is already pre-packaged in the case.

I wouldnt recomend investing in a AM3 chip. You can buy an FX-6300 for the price of that phenom 1065t. The FX-6300 is an AM3+ socket which looks to have a longer lifespan than the AM3 and the CPU itself is a leap foreward. Here is a list i made based upon your build with some tweaks. Corsair makes great Power Supplys so I recomend them. I put a GTX 660 SC on there becasue it seems to be in your range but, the GTX 660 is comparable to the 7870 in performance and price. Changed the Board and CPU, It stayed at a MicroATX and should be within budget.
