  1. I feel the same way, yet I am sure that I can just guess the nodes.
  2. Welcome to my thread! Currently there are no parts for download :-X, but I promise to push them out as soon as I can. Contents: News Update Previews Released Parts Change Log othercrap/kerbal stuff/addendum News Update: I am happy to announce that the Traveler 1 modeling according to my agenda is pretty much completed. Now its on to texturing + node placement + testing + uploading + receiving feedback, in that order. Previous News: ----------------------------- 1/20/12 Update! The Traveler class is nearing completion! as of now, I have designed the Command Pod, SAS Module, Engines, and Fuselage (Fuel tank). I will release the parts non-textured for handling feedback, and until I finish up with the extra modules (Boosters+Attachment Fairings+Design Compliant ASAS, RCS, RCS Fuel and Parachute modules) the ship will have to do with the regular stock parts. One thing to note: the pack-included SAS is enough, don\'t add more. ----------------------------- 1/19/12 I am working on something one could consider 'non-Kerbal' but I assure you, even after Jebediah found the secret to low-fuel consumption + high thrust output he will be faced with some challenges. I am currently working on the Traveler I class interplanetary space ship. For our standards it is quite massive, but until we get a launch option where there isn\'t a tower, take off will be a bit difficult. The Traveler (once complete) will come with the Kerbin Orbit Launch Setup and the Mün Voyage Launch Setup. Previews: Here is the Traveler I with Command Module, Engines, and SAS (the dish below the CM and above the Fuelselage. Close ups of parts include the ASAS/RCS Fuel Module (common model, looks like an observatory), RCS Thrusters, Attachment Node + Take Off Boosters. Released Parts: NONE!!!!! ;P Change Log: NONE!!!! :-[ Other/Kerbal/Addendum Kerbal: You can propose ideas etc, but if you want it to become a 50% reality (as I will do aesthetic modding if my Eyes do not enjoy it) please send me a link, for example (this is for a later ship in the future), the X3TC Tyr: All images and modeling copyright their respective creators.
  3. Heh, FTL engines are a feasible idea, if our Autopilot (possibly Pilok? X3TC ftw) can shut off the engines in time for us to enter another celestial objects\' gravity well/orbit. I\'ll see if my texturing is sufficient with paint.net
  4. I\'m half decent at GS modeling but I suck more than suckish worse at literally everything else. I would like to begin modeling and making addons for Kerbal, but I cannot because I know nobody will download texture-lacking addons. How do I make 'acceptable' textures without 50 different programs and exports? I\'m looking at modeling anything from a Jeb Waste Co. Ducttaped Expendable Space Station Waste Rocket through to rocket ships that can land and fly freely around Kerbin and the Mün. Just a misc. question, will teleportation ever be added? That would enable me to make some jumpgates.
  5. So I was thinking, I can do Blender, but Blender has so many more tools and they kind of confuse me: I found Wings 3D on my computer, and I figured out how to make a .dae w/Texture file. Now I only have 2 questions: How do I get the grid to measure a meter? How do I change the letter default texture to something so distinct I can tell where what faces border so I can texture the faces individually? Help?
  6. Despite all the comedic value my ducttaped waste water rocket had, I will get serious: 8) I think for turning the station, you'd need to have an RCS module somewhere on it. Or, to make use of the Utility Node/Module, be able to tape 2 fuel tanks and a small nozzle on each side, saying the Utility Module has 4 sides, you can place 4 nozzles. I guess the most 'useful' place for this module would be on the main part of the station, along the main girder or something, if it was out on a side arm of the station, you wouldn't really achieve what you want to, although with the main arm being horizontal and the side arm vertical, you'd need an RCS here and there anyway to allow for Horizontal AND Vertical Roll, although Horizontal Roll is Vertical Yaw and Vertical Roll and Horizontal Yaw. Btw, my mind is burning from the last 2 sentences. ???
  7. I love the idea, but I was thinking: For the trash and sewage and whatnot the crew produces, have a rack of 8 or 16 or maybe even 32 'Trash-Rockets' that have the singular purpose of launching once they are filled. Its basically a small booster duct-taped to a small cargo hold without a nose cone, so it dissipates in the atmosphere upon entry. When full, its jettisoned from the station to prevent exhaust damage, and once its ~100 meters from the station, it points itself towards Kerbin (Kearth), and thrusts away. Can buy you time on the ground as your constructing the next rocket. Just my thoughts. ;P
