Just another little fact the CIB, Columbia Investigation Board, tested the carbon carbon panels that were damaged in the foam strike by removing the panels from Enterprise, the first flight (but not space worthy) orbiter. It\'s now been moved but you could still see the battle scars on it when it was displayed in the smithsonian

Riding rockets by mike mullane is a good book that shows the disaster of challanger from an active astronaut at the time. I recall getting home from school when news came through about columbia. The BBC first reported that it was 'late' returning from orbit and that it was 'missing'..... I saw space camp the film! I knew what had happend straight away. In both disasters it came down to negligent PEOPLE. NASA has to rid itself of managment and the workers definitions. It should be MR/MRS WHOEVER ordered not to look at the heat sheild ect. I still look at both as tragic murders. The bold risking all in persuit of there life long dreams. Putting there lives in the hands of the enginers...whoes hand\'s were tied by the managment. In both cases people grieved for the loss of life and loss of machine. Men and women dedicated there lifes to the shuttle\'s design, build and operation....Not a single one pictured is ever taking a life. RIP columbia, challanger and those who flew them

Love the work Red. Just an idea but seeing how you sketched random parts and then collect them into place once on the computer, how about setting up some sort of inventory of different objects, backgrounds and people. I know it would be time consuming to set up and maybe perspective would sometimes render some parts useless in a lot of sceen\'s. BUT it would allow you to produce comic strips quicker if you plan to set up a site.

AVK Spaceworks - [r4] [12/19/11] [NEW: Cyclone 1.1]

i copy all my parts folders over from previous versions of the game and it works fine for me -
the point i was getting at was that KSP by design is like ever other games in existance..A challange. Make easy..yes ...Remove the entire mechanic\'s of the game and there is no challange. It would be like starting a Final Fantasy game at a stupidly high level....you just button bash, grind and eventually get bored. See if thi principal of this discovery were put into a senerio so that you could instantly beam a glider into orbit to test it and refine it while developing a part....Or a langer into Mun orbit...yes, go for it...abuse the game all you like. BUT then all the work the production team are putting into the design of a test function (talk of it at least) will be pointless.

Although I think this is a brilliant discovery....I think harvester\'s got to stop it somehow. Otherwise there\'s no point even launching a rocket into space. I mean you may as well tell him to forget about docking. If you can build the biggest station possible on the ground and 'beam' it to orbit without the challenge of using a launch vehicle, of having to build in in orbit. Rendezvous would be a pointless act to. Just type in the height and wait for the station to pass overhead. Love your find on the ailerons though jelly. Nice work

commodore 64...Ghost busters...25min wait to load (which wasnt certain if it crashed) been hooked ever since. To this day i play more on Megadrive, Master system, NES, SNES, NeoGEO Home, Wondersawn and N64 games more than i do the modern ones. Usually play on emulators as i dont like getting my orginals out

HA Armageddon...could you imagine if it really happened. Congress would set the peramiters and then limit NASA budget...'we want you to save the world...but if you suceed we dont want to end up bankrupt after ok? no point being alive if we have no money' tut. Anyway..love the hope Sarkun. I know its alot of work but if you had two sets of tanks? atmosphere tanks or swap them out for space ones. The space ones have small thrust SRB fore to push the nose of them up and away. The atmosphere ones have a high strenght decoupler with a drag chute in the back.

Not that you should take my idea\'s seriously but if you play as a 'country'...NASA ESA ect you get a budget based on performance and new goals acheieved which determins the next quarter budget. and your allowed ro go into the red. As a spaceX, armadilo, Virgin galactic... you acheive your budget via missions acheieved in the previous quarted. but are never allowed to go in the red

I was just quoting what the NASA voise over said. I can imagine he didnt explain it like you did for reasons of secrecy, cold war and that. But just to clarify fiberglass is plastic. GRP. Epoxy, polyester ect are plastics reinforced by glass fiber strands. The resin was Avcoat. What I have read about Avcoat is that it is a polymer resin with added fillers (phenolic microspheres and silica fibers). The purpose of the fillers is to help it form a 'stable coke like base.' This makes me think the gemini with the hatched shield may have had a different composite as it would have chared around the opening rarther than melting

right...AGS downlaoded and i\'m giving it ago...watch this space!

Shuttle had quite a few, landing gear, from mounting point, rear mounting and MPS flaps. get your point though they wern\'t for people to pass through. Not kidding you though, i found a video on youtube about the mercury programs progress, produced by NASA, and it stated the eblative heatshield was PLASTIC!!! wonder if they carried the same tech over to the gemini capsule?? Either way will try find the clip

Concrete floors can be (and should be) sealed with an epoxy sealer to stop dust and damp. If your gona be there a while, PVA mixed at 20:1, vacume the floor as best you can and then use a paint roller to seal the floor. I\'m looking at it from the wrong point of view i\'m afraid but i own a construction company so....Hope you fine a better way than what i recommended! lol

remove the sound and this wouldbe a decent mod on shallow reentry angles

One question...drag chute? Been trying to get the radial mounted chute to connect to the vanguard and it won\'t. Although doesn\'t the game engine eject the parachute the second your on the ground anyway? -

I\'ll be honest I don\'t know what that\'s about? Any info to the specifics? If they have committed money laundering then yeah, throw them in the slammer. But I can imagine that\'s more of a individual person(s) issue, than a site issue? Either way I agree, banks launder billions a year worldwide i suspect
