Easily solved by putting a little finlet on the top of your capsule to raise the CoL. New world requires new thinking. Solve the problems yourself, instead of asking "God" to change the universe.

After seeing all the crying about people who can't handle change, I think we need a change of pace. Personally, I am very much enjoying the new update, and any "problems" people seem to be mostly nit-picking on tiny details, and forgetting that bugs happen and the CTG wont necessarily play the same way you do. WHY DID I START A POSITIVITY THREAD ALL NEGATIVE. I am having a blast with this new update, and I expect any problems to be fixed soon enough. Yep, it isn't easy adjusting to the new aerodynamics model and heating, but I seem to be adapting! Planes are now a lot more fun to fly, and everything feels a lot more real. I haven't progressed in career enough to do the mining and scanning yet, but I am looking forward to putting that to use.

There's a new video on the steam page-And 1.0 IS LIVE!
gompasta replied to EladDv's topic in KSP1 Discussion
"store.steampowered.c" nope. http://store.steampowered.com/app/220200/ -
How dare the developers of a ROCKETRY game ignore PLANES. Just kidding, as a current spaceplane builder it would be nice to see some more new parts. The Rapier was a nice addition, but some more stuff would be nice. Im not too fussed though.

Um... Something at the Tracking Station is worrying me...
gompasta replied to Tex's topic in KSP1 Discussion
That is probably a collision, but what is the worry? It will simply pop out of existence once it hits. -
I am assuming it is right next to the poles. See the lighter colours?
-
If they were supposed to be human, then why are they not? The point of the planets being similar to our system is just to make it easier for people to navigate.
-
Or people could just get it in their heads that kerbals don't have gender. Just because they dont appear female, does not mean that they are male.

This is another necro thread. What is going on around here? Albeit not as bad as the others though... -
Planes keep veering off runway
gompasta replied to ProjectXMark1's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Gear in KSP are not really reliable. If they are at an angle in any way, they have this tendancy to veer. Make sure they are not backwards, or at an angle. -
While in stock, there is almost no chance to see it. Minmus itself is only around 2-3 pixels, so duna would only have a very small chance of seeing a single pixel, if the game decides to render it.

This has been discussed to death. The reason for a MANNED capsule first, is because it is easier. More torque, and no worries about energy, as you have no energy devices to start with. Weight is not a concern that early on, so probes are not nessecary. Plus there are an unlimited number of kerbals, so they have no reason to keep them safe by launching probes.

0.22 can recover saves from hellkraken corruption?
gompasta replied to geb's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Uh, i have encountered this many times, but never has it corrupted my save, even with previous versions. I'm not sure this is anything new. -
While testing many of my planes, i have noticed control surfaces becoming a lot less responsive once i exceed supersonic speeds. What i want to know is, are these effects simulating a realistic effect (If so, anywhere I can read more about it?), or is it just a glitch/unintentional effect.

It will always load to your last quicksave. Obviously you last quicksaved back then. F9 doesn't load autosaves, as autosaves only exist for data protection against crashes.... AFAIK.

I am assuming you didn't set a position with a lazor to teleport him to? You need to direct the white laser at the teleport position BEFORE hitting teleport
-
The patcher will not make it quicker to download, and 1mb isn't too bad. it won't take that long to download.

After messing around with the lazor afterburners, i threw my craft into a high suborbital flight. After re-entering the atmosphere, i tried to pull up, but the wings were torn off like paper. I was left with only the cockpit section, seconds from impact. I was ready to hit the revert flight button (Im not playing legit, just messing around), and the ship hit the water at 3kms. It managed to dive quite a depth underwater before resurfacing. I am assuming it was FAR that caused this, but i am surprised the ship didn't simply melt on contact. I did not manage to get a picture of the wings breaking, but i managed to snap a quick pic of it underwater. This was the full ship, Miyafuji 1 Anything surprising happened to anyone else?

The supplementary SStO thread [FAR]
gompasta replied to RealHogweed's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
We have only had spaceplanes so far, so here is the Isshiki, a Citadel 2 model rocket-style SSTO. Ascent is very wobbly, and ended up with only around 1000 m/s dv left, but it allows for expansion for new modules (notice the detatchable cockpit). I have also added a few kethane modules, to allow for the kethane reactor and kethane conversion if needed. It is unlikely, but i included it because I might as well. -

gompasta replied to RealHogweed's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Well i guess Yeager is an SSTKE(Kerbin Escape) I was just messing around with the afterburners and managed to throw myself out of kerbin, purely on the afterburner jets. Those things are overpowered. Of course i now have no control. Looks like ill be rescuing the pilot. Lets start designing Litvyak! -
The supplementary SStO thread [FAR]
gompasta replied to RealHogweed's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Looks similar to my Yeager, except with a wider wingspan. This is obviously outfitted for speed, and equipped with Lazor afterburners to represent the Speed Boost ability. I have been trying to re-outfit it for SSTO flight, with mixed results, mostly ending in an explosion of some sort.
