  1. I understand what you mean about the different gravitational forces. What I am saying is, that is not modeled in KSPs physics. And there is small amounts of particles outside of a bodies atmosphere that can slow you down. However, the effects are tremendously minute.
  2. What you mean about the craters/mountains, are increased/decreased mass relative to the center of the body. Truthfully, that shouldnt really matter anyway. No, as the drag is the particles outside of the planets atmosphere, either solar winds or random stray particles. The earths atmosphere is immensely denser than this, so it will probably not even be measurable, even if it was the case.
  3. Gravity does not depend on the amount of mass underneath the object in KSP. It is only a defined constant central point.
  4. Orbital decay is not modeled, as there is no... "Solar Atmosphere" (Cannot remember actual term) causing drag.
  5. Its probably just the structural wobble of the craft decaying your orbit. Now this wouldnt happen in real life, but in KSP, there is probably some phantom forces being applied due to number roundings.
  6. There are two arrows next to the time. Click them and it cycles through different points where the node is placed. Apoapsis is one of the options. Ascending node = When your orbit is passing over the target Descending node = When your orbit is passing under (Or vice-versa)
  7. Then obviously that rocket is not aerodynamic enough now that proper drag is introduced. Post a screenshot of it.
  8. KSP is one of the space games I have been looking for half my life; Designing and flying your own rockets in a realistic environment. I have long-awaited this, and I will always love it.
  9. Gilly can be done with Ion power only. I believe it is the only body capable of this.
  10. Wasn't there a no conspiracy theories rule at some point? Was it removed by the crash?
  11. Is it possible when its not impossible? How pointless a question is that? Yes, if there are no terrain features at all, then you can orbit at 10m.
  12. It would probably have been better to ask this in IRC or something, but yes, they work. I am currently using them. As far as I know, it doesnt require the lazors mod, but does run on the lazor dll, which comes with the pack.
  13. Actually, if your kerbal is killed by stress (Possible but very rare. Only had this happen once in this version) you get the old KIA screen.
  14. While driving my missile over to my test portable missile pad, the arm exploded, and the rocket crushed my transport vehicle, almost killing the pilot ( Jeb! D: )
  15. The accelerometer does only show you data. Advanced players can then use data to control your ascent better, to save fuel.
  16. Mining is not in this update. It may be in the .20 update http://kerbaldevteam.tumblr.com/post/45540856025/0-19-out-you-betcha
  17. What have you guys been doing during the forum downtime? Done anything awesome that you could not show off? Just crashed more rockets into minmus? Deorbited jool? I have been designing Lazor mod hover-racers. I now have RaceCraft littered all over my space center. Currently working on OPERATION SEATBELT, to make crashes safer... So all the jumbled pile of limbs can be collected a bit easier. EDIT: Back down to 2 posts again? :<
  18. Found a weird bug. When i put your solar panels on the ship, and try to launch, physics never starts, and nothing can be controlled. Other power-tech panels work fine, however. If you try to launch again, the capsule used is shown on its side, clipped into the ground, even if you remove all sections off the ship, and launch it as the capsule only. I have got a fairly large amount of mods installed however, so i am going to see how it runs with a clean install.
