  3. actualy i havent been playing ksp since .21 coz of remotetech is not out yet. so still waiting evenso this looks promising.
  4. Can anyone tell me how is this possibly better for fuel transfering than quantum fuel transfer? I mean if you have two ships few metres away each other lets say on surface, how can you possibly do any kind of transfer?
  5. So just to be clear, 0.5.1 version is not working with current .21.1 game, and RT 2.0 is for testing so full of bugs, so there is no option to play safely with RT now?

  9. well, one thing is to design whatever monster you want and put it there, completely other thing is to actually figure out how to use get it to orbit and than land with it.
  10. My new base design tested on Mun. This is all delivered in one go: Habitat module with comms and lifesupport, with attached rovers. Crew is 4-6. Deployed.
  11. interstelar flights without more parts would be hardly possible and silly with lack of lifesupport and such.
  12. I was always using for badass lifter to get heavy stuff on kerbins orbit. was using Zenith Mk IX till now, which can carry like 50 ton, so im gonna give this a shot, edit it slightly for my needs and maybe i will be able to avoid KW rocktery again, that would be awsome.
  13. congratz on that, i wouldnt be able to do that wihtout few mods. but with size of kerbin, i always put my iss to 160km as to LKO.

  15. defnitely inspiration for designs. im using skycrane design and rover designs for bases since saw him doing that.

  17. My base is always only three units, to make it small part cout but covering everything. Habitat - where crew lives and do some science maybe, that is attached to lifesupport ofc. Rover - for obvious reasons. Drill unit/rafinery - Kethane working unit that can drill, move and convert fuel. Such a base usually has 4 kerbals as a standard crew. Habitat is then about at least 1km away from drilling unit as a precausion to any accident when drilling, explosion and such.
  18. 2868 km, its of course different for different planets and some cannot be maintained coz they are too far out of SOI. Just look at KSP wiki, its all there.
  19. I was using skyscrane design for Kerbin system all the time, but sometimes its really better to use lander with its own landing power.
  20. Super design BUT how do you get it on ship or lander to actually land it anywhere? the main platform is under that seat so you cannot attach anything to it properly. So one would have to do it other way around, load a lifter under this. Not very practical.
  21. Well, from what I've understood, would be best to make a subassembly similar tool where you can save parts you want to weld togeather. Of courrse for ship/rocket designs it would mean to save/weld each stage differently. But then still a 350 part ship would be 20 parts with 6 stage parts and lets say few decouplers or tricky parts like commandpods. it would be still huge deal to have 60 fps instead of 10. Now running around, design and test it, then weld it is kinda loong process.
