The textures and model look very well done; you should give yourself more credit. Neat idea, I envision resupplying my base by sky-crane with an under-slung container. The KAS integration idea sounds like it would fit nicely.

[WIP] DEM Duna Excursion Module / Stabilotron etc.
15nelsoc replied to Thorenn's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Awesome. Its good to see that this quality mod is still being worked on. -
So does it take into account how the descent path changes if parachutes are opened? Do you have to preopen them in space for it to work or is it some kind of checkbox on the landing guidance? Would you be willing to share it?

[WIP] Nert's Dev Thread - Current: various updates
15nelsoc replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
The solar panels on the ISS are black on one side and gold on the other. The gold is the side upon which the circuitry is imprinted, the kapton used in this circuitry gives it its gold color. The side that actually collects sunlight is black/dark blue (because most of the light spectra is absorbed) as shown here: Also here is a mod with circular solar panels irishmanerrant: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/0-18-2-circular-solar-panel-2/ And your Near Future pack is great Nertea; the models are beautiful, and an important gap is filled with your electric propulsion parts. Thank you. -
[0.21+] Kosmos Spacecraft Design Bureau: Updated (9/27/13)
15nelsoc replied to Normak's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
KW just released redux textures for their new update which (although not as detailed) reduce memory usage to below that of the previous update. Not trying to derail your thread CBBP, just trying to help those with memory issues, so they can run KOSMOS along with KW. -
No offense NathanKell, but if I had to vote I would definitely pick the manned orbital laboratory.

[0.21+] Kosmos Spacecraft Design Bureau: Updated (9/27/13)
15nelsoc replied to Normak's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It is KW using more memory, I downloaded it as well and though the on disk size is smaller, it consumes significantly more memory once in game (.58gb more memory usage in game than last KW update) -
[1.3] Starshine Industries: Extendable Nozzle
15nelsoc replied to ganinian's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I love the look of your stock alike parts, and they elegantly fill holes left in stock parts, but I found that the parts, when unpacked, were 80+ mb, which is the same size as the whole 40+ parts FASA Gemini Pack. I really do love your stock-alike parts and they look beautiful, but is their anyway to reduce their memory footprint? -
What mod is that folding landing leg, engine, fuel tank combo for the mk 1-2 from? -edit- I found it: [url=]http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/49035-WIP-Bahamuto-Dynamics-%28Command-Pod-Propulsion%29 That is a great part you've made. Thank you.
-
Thank you. I feel dumb. Great parts though!
-
The parts look awesome, but when I loaded up my game and had a look the parts, I found the fuel tanks and adaptors to be too small to fit with the rest of parts in your mod. They look to be about half the size they should be.
-
It looks awesome so far, but you might want to consider scaling it down because the amount of parts required to build something that large would generate enormous lag. You probably would end up getting seconds per frame not frames per second.
-
Did you just keep trying until you got three different ones or did you come up with someway to specifically assign suits to kerbals?
-
Congratulations on 1000 posts. Thank you Tingle and all the contributors in this thread for all the work you have put forth.

Thanks Bubbawilkins and Deadweasel.

Where are those wheels from?

[WIP] Space Launch System (SLS) and ORION (MPCV)
15nelsoc replied to Stevincent's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
It should be 3.75m and 5m most certainly, because the 6 person Orion needs to be wider than the 2.5m stock 3 man capsule, and the SLS needs to be 5m to correspond to the 3.75m size. -
Its like the Eleventh Hour all over again.
-
Do you know what mod those parts are from on station that is outside of the cargo door in the second picture, "Jeb's View"?
-
Out of curiosity, is there a reason that the center of mass of your parts is significantly above the visual center of the object? Is this to simulate where the mono-propellant is stored or some other simulated weight imbalance? Anyway, your work is excellent and I love the new shutters on the cupola. Thank you for the effort you have put into this project.
