Right, which is why I revised it to say three. Presumably they still have plans for a third, in case they ever plan to bring a FH core RTLS, etc. -

IIRC, they have plans for like five... Ok, three... Article here. -
But... that rhymes with turtle paratroopers! HALF-LIFE 3 CONFIRMED!

They’re... they’re really going for it? Naw, something's gotta slip... right? -
So, in the name of civil discourse, I will cautiously add a single observation here. You take just such a risk any time you go on the road. Think about it, you’ve got people flying past you at triple digit closing speeds, all it takes is one tiny moment of inattention... And yet, this is a risk nearly all of us accept without another thought day in and day out. We trust our fellow humans with this much responsibility... I just know there’s a mod out there watching this thread, sweating like the RSO at the Falcon Heavy launch, his hand hovering over The Button...

Aw, come on! We should be able to like staff posts even when otherwise out of likes for the day. But yes, can confirm, email notifications do seem to be working properly again, thanx! -
That rocket looks like it should be descending from a prison window on a bedsheet rope. Sigh... What a page to be out of likes, SMH... Y’all want cookies? I’ve got cookies... Anyways... Giphy tends to be a little... weird with links. You’ll want the one ending in “giphy.gif,” but if you’re on iOS mobile, don’t even bother, it won’t copy right. Imgur is marginally less frustrating to deal with on gifs.

Nope. Just tried unfollowing, “notify me of replies” with a reply (which didn’t seem to do anything), then re-followed manually. Nothing yet. Where can I send a case of this? -

SO, with the update, is there some gratuitous skydiving in the future, then? -

One might argue that if a thing is close enough to be acted upon by the engines, it may also be considered near the engines. -

Ok, now I’m getting some weirdness. Haven’t gotten any forum update emails since this morning, despite new activity on several posts. Anyone else having the same issue? -

Via Twitter, some awesome slomo/timelapse of the last launch, including a piece of debris that goes flying right near the burning engines! -
It starts with rockets... then space stations... but pretty soon it’s eating planets... Great Unholy Flarp, @Kronus_Aerospace is building Unicron!

Heh. Personal parachutes built in in 1.4, something that’s been sorely needed for a long time. Maybe I should at last give up my troglodyte ways and finally look beyond 1.2.2...

If so, it’d better have guinea pigs. -
Year 9, day 63... Another year clicks over in this strange place. Everyone was too busy juggling missions to notice. Except Vlad, who nicked our entire remaining supply of outdated rocket fuel and is now, for all intents and purposes, in orbit. And so concludes our initial survey of the Thalia system, overall, despite the difficulties encountered the program has been a stunning success, leading to gigabytes upon gigabytes of returned science and putting our root ledger firmly back into the black. Now, perhaps, it's finally time to start paying attention to NOVA Otho and lock Vlad out of the root cellar again.

The point remains. If you want to argue the explosive potential of 10,000 tonnes of rocket fuel vs a small nuclear weapon, fine. Meanwhile I’ll be over here ————————> in this spring-damped bunker several yards underground.

Interesting indeed. But I’m guessing it’s not backwards compatible to 1.2.2...- 101 replies
