  1. And explain them TO others, in detail, while they just sit there with their eyes slowly glazing over...
  2. And ironically enough, there’s a “significant” chance of the opposite happening soon, what with that derelict Chinese space station about to make its big re-entrance... But really, any ideas on how much a single Merlin-D is worth?
  3. That would be an interesting one to try to explain to your insurance, “Yes, I may have been going too fast, I rear-ended a rocket...” dat repair bill doe...
  4. Where’d you hear this? Not a peep about it on twitter as far as I’ve seen...
  5. Quick question (and thread plug) I’m only seeing one model of that folding warp drive in my install, are those tweakscaled? Also, what mod are the greenhouse models originally from?
  6. Must not have gone well if you could see it all the way from New Mexico.
  7. Right, but the Estonian lander wasn’t released until well into 1.3, and that’s what I’m after. I realize it’ll likely need some confit tweaking on my part, I just need a starting point.
  8. Bout a minute in.... not what I was expecting. . . . great unholy flarp it Just. Keeps. Going! I’m speechless. After that, I need... ... a day off...
  9. I know @Angel-125 is a busy guy, but could someone maybe throw me a bone?
  10. More than just boilerplate, if they went through the trouble of shrinkwrapping (waterproofing) it, I think. Possibly a future flight article. Yes, the upper hatch is chute storage, the lower one is where the RMS grapple fixture pops out on the old Dragon, not sure what it’ll do now. I’ve seen it modeled as an antenna bay, but likely not if they’re training to have a wet dude sitting in it.
  11. Yeah but I bet that easy listening station from Alpha Centauri comes in crystal clear.
  12. Well, they can’t just let them go and upstage Orion... or Boeing, for that matter....
  13. Well, Kerbals are still unconvinced Minmus isn’t a dessert, so... it’s bad enough running out of likes for the day, but waking up out of likes? Come on!
  14. Sure you can. We all know there’s a Kraken invasion coming. We know it. They just sit around out there in the Outer Planets, brooding and scheming. They must be planning an invasion, to restore their former glory and once again raise themselves as masters of this universe! if only it weren’t for them pesky kids... ... something something the average voter...
  15. @eddiew Holey... I never realized the size of that thing... ...that's no Mün... Ah, I love shots like this. That serene profundity of a Kerbal quietly contemplating his place in the universe... ...or, more likely, his lack of snacks...
  16. @Ultimate Steve how do you tabulate what you’re seeing? I’ve got an app I use, but half the time it tells me nothing’s there when something obviously is.
  17. Relevant and non-snippy information: Not relevant but sort of: Stephen Hawking died.
  18. When Facebook users start doing it for them...
  19. SpaceX’s response seems rational to me. There’s a reason aircraft have maneuvering speed (where any input to the controls below such cannot overstress the airframe) and never-exceed speeds. Every design is a compromise. If the solution (and like @tater pointed out, likely a stop-gap solution), is simply to curtail the flight envelope, I don’t see an issue with that. Cessna knows right where yanking back on the yoke will cause catastrophic failure of the airframe. They don’t make the airframe crazy strong to survive this, they strongly advise pilots not to do it. It hells that SpaceX is operating their own product.
  20. Fffff... ffff... FALC-foNe! Nah, sounds like a minor super hero’s hotline to the Mayor.
  21. No, that would be FALoN, not much use as a launcher but a possible late-night tv host.
  22. Fairy-Ablating Low-Cost Orbital Nick-nack. heat shield made from 100% recycled fairies
  23. Organic, self-optimizing engineering at work! Engineering perfection is reached not by adding crap, but when crap can no longer be taken away.
  24. Notice how he doesn’t even bother trying to hit that note... One good cheesy 80s metal cover deserves another.
