Darn those particles, man... Doing things... a particle can... -
Wow... That capsule landing looked soft as a pillow, even floated for a moment... Anyone know the throttle specs on that engine? Pretty impressive it can throttle down low enough to hover with nearly empty tanks...
-
Pics, or it's all just CGI on a sound stage of chemtrails!

https://www.theverge.com/2017/12/12/16759934/blue-origin-new-shepard-test-flight-launch-landing Apparently it DID happen...

Great mother of Kerm, he’s discovered the rare phenomenon of planetary mitosis! seriously, was that even playable or just a great big krakenfest? Heck, that’s probably the krakens’ homeworld! I’ve heard of Keystone Earth Kerbin, but that’s just ridiculous!

Yay for a simple fix! Let's hope something gets off the ground this week! of course they couldn't get that figured out by today... the day I was actually home to see it...

'tis official. "Particles" in the fuel system, tho... that sounds kinda serious... -
Ah, the real deal. No wonder they look so great. <facepalm> I think I'll give paint.net a try, ( @LordFerret) I can make it work in GIMP, but it's... fiddly. And I hate fiddly things. Is there really that much difference between PhotoShop & GIMP?

Good article here about some of the upgrades to Pad 40. Makes sense that they’ll have some delays, it saw some pretty significant reworking. Also, Budweiser is sending an experiment on the Dragon to study Space Barley. -

Um... what happened, exactly? -
Wait a minute, isn’t there some forum rule against politicking? I’m reporting that post, this thread should be locked.

Dangit, yarnt, & dagnabbit! Has everyone forgotten what happened last time there were too many 13’s in a single launch?? -
If a mod locks a thread in the woods and nobody cares, is it really locked?

Watch an accordion being played (preferably with the sound off), it doesn’t bow out despite being under pressure cuz the structure gives it some rigidity. It’s entire plausible @Angel-125‘s accordion-o-fuge is actually made of solid panels with flexible hinges between them.... or y’all are just thinking about it way too hard. on a completely unrelated note, @eddiew, what editor do you use to put your stuff together, specifically the text? I’ve been trying to figure out GIMP but adding text is a bit... tedious.
-
My lightning fast reflexes strike again! er... wait a sec... nope. how bout... @eddiew... cuz I gotta bug him about something on the other thread.

Speaking of things that need to go to Mars... Well, so much for the theory that the dirt was holding it together. So seriously, is there an actual reason why they haven’t cleaned it? All that soot must weigh something... -

Interesting... that NASA finally agreed to a reused booster but waived the traditional wash/wax/detailing. Wonder if the Dragon at least got a little pine tree air freshener... -
Maybe because the launch got scrubbed and the same Murray down in cable who flarped the first launch forgot to flip the switch?
-
Hmm, looks like pushed back to 6 judging by the livestream start time... And, scrub.
-
That is awesome. Adding Kerbal Joint Reinforcement might cut down on some of the wobbling there.

Lol, headline the next day: FALCON HEAVY LAUNCH FAILS, CAR “PAYLOAD” COMES CRASHING BACK TO EARTH. TOO MUCH SILLY STUFF INSIDE SUSPECTED AS PRIMARY CAUSE.” Small glowing green orb reported in area, dozens melted. -

And right near that: and long as they’re sticking silly stickers on it, one needs to be: cuz c’mon, it is gonna go pretty darn fast. -
Yup. But hey, if it goes up on time I'll actually be able to watch! smarmy Kiwis being already in tomorrow & stuff. Hmph.

Someone should clue them in that a “web site” need not cram the entire flarping thing onto a single page. Fascinating info, tho. I’m given to wonder if there’s a parallel universe somewhere where that stuff actually exists. And everyone lives underground. Way, way underground. -
I would think that’s actually closer to the truth. You ever seen the surface of a glacier up close? Many of them looks pretty near what you have there, and with all the tidal squishing and squeezing Europa goes thru I’d imagine the surface is a pretty chaotic place.
