Hi all. Back in 2013 I wrote this mod, that now obviously doesn't work any more with newer KSP versions. I lost the code a long time ago, and now I'd be glad to have it again. So, if by any chance, someone still have it, or know how to get those old files from the good old defunct Spaceport, I'd really appreciate to get my hands on it Thanks !

[solved][Linux] KSP won't launch
macbernick replied to macbernick's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
Thanks for your fast answer. Yes removing both SQUAD and squad directories in ~/.config/unity3d/ fixed it. I didn't see this post before, I feel stupid. Thanks. -
Hi all. Trying to launch the new 1.2 release on my Linux Laptop, I get the following : $ ./KSP.x86_64 Set current directory to /home/vince/Softwares/Games/KSP_linux Found path: /home/vince/Softwares/Games/KSP_linux/KSP.x86_64 Mono path[0] = '/home/vince/Softwares/Games/KSP_linux/KSP_Data/Managed' Mono path[1] = '/home/vince/Softwares/Games/KSP_linux/KSP_Data/Mono' Mono config path = '/home/vince/Softwares/Games/KSP_linux/KSP_Data/Mono/etc' displaymanager : xrandr version warning. 1.5 client has 4 screens displaymanager screen (0)(DP-2): 1920 x 1080 Using libudev for joystick management Importing game controller configs The futex facility returned an unexpected error code.Aborted and then back to bash prompt... I never encountered this error before (the futex facility thing) and I have no clue what to do... Any idea ? Running KDE on Debian Stretch Thanks

Stand Alone Map View - Multi monitor KSP [1.4.x][Plugin]
macbernick replied to Unit327's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Is it possible to have the map displayed on another computer through LAN ? Would be great ! -
here

Yes, with or without Steam, KSP is great anyway. Edit : for the folder renaming thing, a simple sh/batch script can do it for you anyway.
-
Sure. But once you have disabled auto-update, accepted to have to rename folders to launch the version you want when you want it, you can begin to ask yourself if the Steam jail is really this convenient once you have disabled every conveniences it offers. I have a bunch of KSP icons in my launchbar, I update when I want, I can play on the go without Internet connection... My choice is done

I don't think it's possible to have multiple installations of the game with steam. That's a big issue, for me at least.
-
This one ? http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/24858-Old-versions-of-KSP-%28some-versions-still-wanted!%29 People here say the virus come from the file host service, it sounds strange to me.

Hey, I did this one yesterday, I wasn't sure if I really wanted to post it
-
What I said is completly WRONG. Flags are 256x160 NOT 190, I'm so stupid You can just resize your 800x500 to 256x160 with no distortion. Sorry...
-
You're welcome. Or as an (maybe better, depending on your picture) alternative, you can pull the handle to get 800x594, finish your pic, then resize to 256x190
-
Resize it to 256x160, then pull the lower handle to get 256x190. Recenter/complete your pic then.
-
Using paint ? Image -> Resize.
-
You should write to them. There are plenty other video hosting services, I wouldn't use Youtube anyway. All the personal data they require to have an account is far too much for me.
-
I don't think a "flag design" tutorial would appear, as it would just explain how to produce a 256x190 PNG file. For my flag, I used The Gimp. Nice piece of free (as in freedom and free beer) software. There are a lot of tutorials out there on how to use it. To get started, once installed and launched, click File -> New, type 256 in Width, 190 in Height, click OK, select the pencil tool (the one looking like a pencil, obviously), select a color by clicking the black square beneath the tools, and start drawing. When you're happy with your flag, click File -> Export, be sure to type ".png" at the end of your flag name, click Export, then Export again in the dialog showing up, leaving all options alone for now. You're done, show us your art Or, if you really fear too powerful softwares, you can use Paint (installed with Windows). Easiest software ever, it will do the job. It means GNU is Not Unix
-
When it's done I love the colors you used. You should consider scale it to the right size before applying your 1 pixel wide font text, or it will be unreadable I think.
-
Is transparency allowed ? Quick and dirty, but you get the idea :

I'd can't wait to play Skuad's Terran Space Program.

Rover Design?
macbernick replied to Wait- Was That Important?'s topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I find this design very good, I did a couple of rovers freely inspired by it and they work great. -
Thank you
-
Thank you for this valuable answer, that will be useful. But in fact that was not my question, which is far simpler ^^' Just tell me if I'm right please : 0.625m = Oscar-B fuel tank (example). 1.25m = FL-T400 2.5m = Rockomax X200 Is that correct ?

I was sure to know it, but now that I need it, I can't find it anymore... What are the 3 "standard" size of parts in KSP, for modelling purposes ? Is it 0.4, 1.0 and 3.0 ? Can't remember... Thank you !
