  1. I am having issues with the Lazor tab when I also use mechjeb. Ive posted this at least 6 times on the mechjeb and support threads, but no one can seem to help me, no one has even answered it. The mechjeb tab covers the lazor system tab and wont move. It used to be movable, and I was always able to move the mechjeb tab away. Since the last update, the mechjeb tab is parked right on top of the Lazor tab, it wont move, and I can't use most of the Lazor functions. Do you or anyone else have this problem?
  2. The problem is the mechjeb tab covers the lazer tab, and i cant click on it
  3. I have both MechJeb and the LazorSystem mods, but the Mechjeb Tab is sitting right on top of the Lazorsystem tab, making it impossible to use the Lazorsystem. I cant close the Lazersystem, or access the panels that Mechjeb is covering. It used to be that the Mechjeb Tab slides up and down the right side - but it wont move? Anyone else have this issue with the Mechjeb tab? Is is supposed to move?
  4. Wow! HAHAH! Now I am confused!!! Should I then use both an ASAS for the reaction wheel and an SAS for the a torque wheel!!! I think I m getting dizzy!! HAHAHAH!!
  5. I thought the old ASAS are the torque wheels. I will search through the parts and try to find them if they are not, but I thought I read that the old ASAS's are the torque wheels?
  6. Thought I would share my test of a flight that i have been doing. From what I read and what I have seen, It seems it might be the rockets that are the problem. I used Zenith's SuperNova rocket, which launched just fine with no problems. But I added 1 more asparagus set (3 stacks & rockets) to be able to get a large fuel load up. Here is the rocket and the test flight - I did this a number of times and had very little problems with the rocket staying on course. Here is the ship ready for takeoff 1st stage - staying on track 2nd stage - still on straight heading Gravity Turn - still no problems With a rocket this complicated - I cant blame the SAS system for being the problem. I used an ASAS part (the Inline Torque Wheels), maybe that helped. I did not turn off the gimbals on the rockets, although I did on earlier tests and didn't see much of a difference. I think the SAS controls them, so maybe that is no longer an issue. I also noticed that the rocket started to rotate, which happened a lot before the update. This time it kept correcting itself and returned to 90 degrees, even from both directions as it rotated to the left and right, and it continued to correct from rotating. Also my PC is an 17 6 core, I have 16GB ram and a 2GB video card, so it is also prudent to see if the PC may be the problem. Also I had the original update from steam and never reinstalled the game, so I dont see that as too much of being the problem either.
  7. I want to get this straight. So I dont need to use the old ASAS parts? I was using them yesterday before I saw the posts about the new SAS. The old ASAS are now Inline Torque Wheels? Do I need to still shut down the Gimbals on the outer rockets, when I have a lot of rockets (like more than 6 or 7? I read the Thread: New SAS functionality and You!, and just want to make sure that I am clear on that.
  8. It updated fine for me, If all else fails, you can always uninstall it through steam and do the reinstall. Don't forget you will have to update some mods, like Mechjeb, if you use them. If you use them, some of the ship you built previously will not work. One ship I had froze the game completely when I tried to load. I eventually had to delete it and recreate it.
  9. Hi Worir4 Just download the file, Unzip the download, take the "Mechjeb2" folder and drag it into your Game Data folder in the location that KSP was installed.
  10. Obsidian, Did you get the newest version of Mechjeb? I was having that problem with 2.0.8, the version should be on the zipfile's name. When I downloaded the 2.0.9 version, it fixed that problem. Remember to remove the old version from the Game Data folder. you can download 2.0.9 here: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/12384-PART-0-21-Anatid-Robotics-MuMech-MechJeb-Autopilot-v2-0-9/page254 I am sure that will solve your problem. If you do and it works, can you tell me if the MechJeb tab on the right side of the screen is moveable? Mine is not and it is blocking the tab for the LazorSystem, which is right under it. Would appreciate it!!
  11. Yes - I just downloaded it from the Mechjeb thread itself yesterday. I removed the mechjeb folder and installed the 2.0.9. It says 2.0.9 on the zip file that i downloaded. Also, the previous version I had (2.0.8) would not allow me to stick Mechjeb on any of my rockets. Is the Tab supposed to be locked like that? Or can itr be grabbed and slid up and down on the screen? I wonder if it got stuck because of the lazersystem tab? Can anyone tell me if they can move the Mechjeb Tab on their screen, or is it locked in place?
  12. Mechjeb seems to work well with all the functions I tried, but there is one very important issue I am having. The tab used to be able to slide up and down on the right edge. But now it is locked in position, and it is occupying the same space that the LazorSystem is using! I cant close the lazor system and cant use it properly because of the mechjeb tab. If I had know this I would not be using mechjeb, as I need the lazorSystem more. Is there a way to fix this, to get the tab for mechjeb to relocate someplace other than right on top of the Lazer system tab???
  13. Biggest Failure? I guess (aside from the many crashed launches!) was spending months building a huge space station, and not realizing that when .20 came out, it was no longer usable!!!!!!!!!! I cried for a week!!! HAHAHAH!!
  14. Wow Mekan1k, that's a pretty awesome rocket!! I hope you will share the craft files if you can! I have just tried the Saturn IX fully equipped, and had no problems with it. No Lag, but I have an i7 & 16GB Ram PC, and the ship behaved like a purring kitten! I did notice that every few times I tired to launch it exploded, structural failure issues. I will have to play with the gimbals and see what works best. But I was using the Munbug series rockets before, and they were near impossible to get up. This one totally blows them away in its launch and orbit capabilities. I never had enough fuel to achieve a circular orbit with the Munbug (When I was able to get it into orbit!), but the Saturn IX slid right into orbit with fuel to spare! I am getting ready to head to Mun and look forward to it! Thanks for sparing me the frustration I had with other rockets! I think it is the simpler (and much fewer) rocket designs that really shine, this one was brilliantly made and I will use it a lot for lots of trips! Great Job and thank you Gusturbo and OKB-1 Design Bureau!! I will look for your work in the future. I Dl'ed the Mini N and Munstosity and will play around with those!
  15. Yes - you are right - I am off by a little - not exactly perfect - but that is fine, I was not looking to be 100% perfect, but now at least I understand what it takes to do that. Eventually I will have to figure out how to do that from space, like at Mun or other planets, but I will learn in steps, and through error, as is always the case!
  16. Thanks for the great advice! I realized how easy it was when I gave it a shot, and established a perfect polar orbit!! Its funny how you tend to do things a dozen hard ways and want to slap yourself when you find the correct and direct way is often the easiest!! Thanks Again!
  17. Hi, I am attempting to set up a MapSat in a polar orbit, but I keep failing to get that North South orbit. Everything I tried has failed - with orbits going totally wacky.... I looked for any tutorials and could not find one that helped. I use the maneuver mode, since I am not sure how to do it manually. I tired once without it, and set the direction between A & P on the navball - right around 0 degrees, but when I accelerated, the it just did not work. Using the maneuver mode, I used the purple arms to bring the orbit closer to N-S, but the orbit went far out on one side, I brought that in with the green arms, but when I tried to execute the maneuver, it brought both A & P inward. So can someone let me know the best way to a N-S orbit. Please be as simple as possible, as I rarely fully understand most of the ways people have described it. It was a bit over my head!!! I even searched You-Tube, but found nothing that can help.... Appreciate any help!!
  18. I love all these flags! Nice job all! But.... Ummmm... is this a mod or is it already in-game? As I seethe with envy when I see people planting personalized flags, I wonder how it is possible to do that! I read on this thread the image has to be a 256 x 160 PNG file, but can someone fill me in on how to implement that? I will start working on a flag to use, but I would really appreciate it if I could find out how to get a flag planted on the mun! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. HAHAHAH!!! Nice!! World War KZ !!!!
  20. Wow - I see! That may explain why some rockets I have launched wobble a lot or explode on takeoff or in mid flight. I tried turning gimbles off on 4 of an 8 engine cluster, and I noticed there was less wobble. Originally, the rocket did explode a few times during test launches, but after I turned the gimbles off on half the engines, the flights were flawless getting into orbit. Thanks everyone for your help!
  21. Ahh - I see - I do build a lot of rockets that would fall into the "I need to turn the gimbals off on at least 10 of these engines!!!!" catagory, so thank you all for your great insights and help! I will be experimenting with this!
  22. Wow - what a beauty!! I will definitely be using the full Mun version for a tryout, and be using the lifter in the subassembly for lots of payloads!! I would like to try for Minmus with this, I will refuel the rockets in orbit, and see how it goes, but Duna may be out of my abilities for now! Thank you for sharing this!
  23. Hi, I see the gimble settings on rockets - and read about people turning them off or on, but I have no clue why or when you would want to do that! I read about them in the Wiki, so I understand what they are, but can someone update me on how to use them, or when to? I searched the forum but could find nothing to explain their use. Thanks!
  24. Wow! Very nice!! I am going to give this cool monstrosity a hell of a workout!! Thanks for sharing this! (BTW - if you didn't know - my quote was from Monty Pythons "Life of Brian")
  25. Hi Bignose! ("Don't you call my husband Bignose! - Well, he has got a Bignose!") Do you have any pics of the craft and what it can do? Love to see if I can use it! Thanks!
