  1. Summary: When you are being pulled toward another object due to gravity, your OWN mass doesn't affect how much acceleration you experience but the mass of the object pulling you does.

So what would orbits look like if one was to take a noticeable chunk of the planet, say with an comet or so something.

  2. We've never lost a Kerbal in space, we're sure as hell not gonna lose one on my watch! Failure is NOT an option.

We've got to find a way to make this, fit into the hole for this, using nothing but that.

Failure is always an option, just never a very good one.
  3. One more question,

Is it possible to land on the Mun (or any airless body) using low thrust engines like the ant? I don't intend on taking off though.

depends on the moon/planet's gravity and the weight of your vessel.

You can land on at least Minmus, Gilly, and Ike with just ion engines, so if your weight isn't too large, then you should be able to land on the Mun with just an ant engine.

  4. 25. Solar escape using only ion engines

    26. Launch off of Eve using only ion engines

    Which is harder?

I done a solar escape with just ion engines, had about 12 of them and a **** ton of solar panels and xenon gas. It was relatively easy, it just took along time, like 12 hours long. Sadly my that had that save recently blue screen and the save was lost.

  5. Unless you have a steam copy, you could just not update.
You dont have to update automatically with steam either. And its rather simple.

Right click on game (in this case KSP) -> Properties -> Updates tab -> Automatic updates drop down box -> And there will be an option that says "Do not automatically update this game."

If you make a copy of the save folder for backup purposes to OUTSIDE the steam folder, that folder will not update when you decide to do the update.

  6. Question for the MechJeb users:

I recall reading that MechJeb had a manual maneuver node entry system. Does this system show the ejection angle of the maneuver node in relation to the orbited body?

There are a few mods out there that can show me my current ejection angle but I want one that shows future ejection angle.

I could have miss read your question very easily, but I believe the answer is no at this time
  7. -snip-

As for the the new one, the info panels are great, I stay away from the translatron though (just cant make it work for me). I mainly use the Ascent Guidance for repetitive launches but the first launch of a design I take a personal responsibility to launch by hand (sort of like back in the Roman Empire where the architect stood under the arch as the keystone was put in and the scaffolding was removed), and I can not be bothered to dock by hand, though I can do it if I need too.

  8. If its in Kerbin orbit, I could care less about debris in orbit unless it starts to lag, because its usually at that point at a 70km orbit and all my Kerbin docking maneuvers take place at 80km-150km. If its debris in orbit around another planet/moon, I will make an effort to deorbit it so it does risk hitting any stations or landing craft.
