  1. >That face... Well... I didn't want to sleep tonight anyway.
  2. Haha you're welcome buddy! This thread is really neat! Love all the designs!
  3. Oh man these designs look very good (for the most part)! Excellent work you guys. Love what I'm seeing.
  4. I just want to say thanks for almost reaching 20 thousand views. This is by far my most successful thread ever. You guys are amazing! (: We all know launch vehicles are very important. They are the first part of getting into orbit. I'm getting bored of using the asparagus method for every single design. Plus, the asparagus method isn't very aesthetically pleasing. The topic still goes: Show me your awesome launch vehicles, other than asparagus!!!
  5. Heh, yeah. I want to start a Youtube channel one of these days. I have a 3D intro ready and have started editing a few videos... But I don't know if I'll upload them. I scrap projects alot.
  6. I use it as a transfer/ejection stage when going to other bodies, although I do tri mount LV's alot.
  7. I did a similar rescue mission. I was doing a direct lift-off transfer to Duna, and at around 30km, an engine over heated. This caused the ship to go haywire, spin out, and send parts flying through the air. The capsule survived, but nothing was attached to it. Bob jumped out and raised the AP as high as possible his thrusters ran out. The AE was 213km, so I assembled a rescue ship and rendezvoused with Bob, getting close enough for him to grab onto the extra module.
  8. ... How the hell do you put a lander on Jool... 1) You do realize it has no solid ground, because it's a gas giant. 2) You would be getting crushed by atmospheric pressure. 3) When you try to land on Jool, you just go through the "ground" and start falling past sea level. Then your ship blows up and sometimes the game freezes.
  9. I never thought Eeloo was too hard to get to. It's kind of like another Moho, except on the opposite side of Kerbin. /offtopic Like everyone else has been saying, MB is still in orbit and you can still find it. A guy did a thread on finding it, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I'd link it to you, but it was made pre-forum crash.
  10. I landed on Moho (and came back to Kerbin), which wouldn't have been much of an achievement if it wasn't for the fact that Moho was the only planet I've never landed on.
  11. ...Okay...Erm... Any particular reason why?
  12. My most favourite screenshot I've ever taken. By no means the best or anything, but I love it.
  13. There are two kinds of people in this world community. The ones that math. And the ones that booster.
  14. I think this bug is due to the fact that there were heavy texture reamps (which is why most of the anomalies that used to be located on the surface are now floating a few meters.) Some of the new textures may be conflicting with the planets actual collision box (erm...collision sphere). But I have no idea. I'm not a dev and have little knowledge in the subject.
  15. Lighter ships can maneuver faster and can be controlled easier (in most cases). However, if you have the same amount of RCS thrusters on a small ship as a large ship, the larger ship will have slower changes because it's heavier. This means you can have more control over things like apoapsis and periapsis. (Which is why I tend to make the first piece of my station really big/have very few rcs thrusters. Because you can get way more accurate and precise orbits, it just takes a bit longer.)
  16. 0.0km intersects aren't too difficult to achieve. Unless this was unintentional, in which case that would be very impressive.
  17. BBCode doesn't work in the scroll bar at the top. It still appears as the actual code. And here. Other than that, great website. Just made an account.
  18. You guys have done an excellent job with the game. Congratulations for making it this far and thank you for an amazing sandbox.
  19. I'm not saying I'm a professional, as there are people that have much more talent and knowledge of this game than I. I will say, though, that I've been to all the other planets at least one time and SSTO vehicles are not difficult to me. Getting to other planets doesn't take too much skill, mostly just delta-v. SSTO's aren't to difficult either. You just have to know what you're doing, and you have to know when to turn on an engine.
  20. I wish I had kept some screenshots from back then. Although, it's not like I joined in .7 or anything. Still would have been nice.
  21. Thank you. And yeah, like I said in the first picture I'll be adding more fuel cells shortly.
  22. Oh that's a good idea. I'll start on that. Yeah I was thinking about that but I dont know...
  23. Okay guys so... Yeah read the title. Here's what I have: And here's another view that isn't terribly photoshopped with invasive text and colours: Got any funny, clever, useful, or random things I can add to my station to make it better? Inspiration would be nice to, so you can post pictures of some of your stations.
