  1. AE graduate from ERAU DAB campus here. Currently working with an airline company. KSP is more fun than "leg up". Sure helps to visualize maneuvers in space though. Also the occasional "what if" scenarios that crops up from time to time after watching launches.
  2. I am very doubtful if this could be done (due to lag) but if you could do it, more power to ya: I am wondering if it is possible to build a single continuous ring structure made up of spacecraft parts, orbiting on a single plane, around the Mun. I'd say Kerbin instead of Mun but it would possibly just kill the computer with lag due to the number of parts. This structure would form the perimeter of the object you're orbiting...so maybe you could see the structure from the space port itself. I am not talking about a space station but rather an orbital ring.
  3. They did mention they were going to push for career mode completion so I'm thinking the next logical step is to follow through with what they did for 0.21 and flesh the mode out further.
  4. Stay away from Acer. I've had two friends having two separate Acer products which failed within 2 years. They may be cheap but you definitely get what you're paying for. If you could buy Asus laptops I would recommend them. So far I've found them to be the best bang for your buck. I'm having a Sager laptop at the moment, was top of the line for laptops in 2011 when it came out but you definitely will feel the pinch in your wallet. I haven't a clue how it will perform for BF3 but for KSP I've managed to max all graphical settings and hit stuttering at about 400+ parts vanilla.
  5. I usually play the vanilla game first until I'm bored out of my mind of it. Then in comes the mods. I find it extends gameplay for much, much longer after you're done with the base game.
  6. I definitely am interested in getting the Jeb IVA 3D printed model, but I'll have to look at the quality of the 3D printing before plopping down some cash for it. 2x more than what the game cost me. I hope Squad gets some of it too.
  7. Maybe he wasn't interested in going to space? There could be any number of reasons, actually. Fame is definitely not one of the driving reasons behind choosing an astronaut.
  8. Planning? What's that? This is Kerbal Space Program, so to stick with the theme, I "Kerballs" it.
  9. I don't know of a method to do this on the overview map screen. I only open up my resources menu top right to guesstimate how much I have left before I need to jettison the stage. Definitely would love to know if this is possible too. Tired of switching back and forth. Stock game for me, btw.
  10. Gazzernaut... Welcome to the forums!
  11. Thank you Squad for this amazing game and for accomplishing two important things with this game: 1) Spread awareness of the current space program to the general public 2) Create an educational, entertaining and inspiring game that anyone could enjoy Wish I had it when I was studying orbital mechanics during my university years. Helps me to visualize what all those equations and calculations for a Hohmann transfer mean. I look forward to further refinement of the aerodynamics as well as squashing out all the bugs. Also, I am sorry to hear about the DLC and Expansions issue. I feel that Squad has proven to everyone that they are listening to their customers and this is a hallmark of a great customer-oriented company. Go Squad!
