  1. Ever since they removed reaction wheels from the smaller probe cores I haven't touched them. It's a shame, I used to build space programs around those things.
  2. A proper Duna Direct style mission should be possible now. Also, even if the new planes are a little more thirsty, a gas station with a drill and converter could provide fuel for engines and fuel cells. That would be interesting to see.
  3. For a long time I had a problem where the outer layer of asparagus boosters would run out of fuel before the srbs attached to them did. Now that 1.0 has rendered massive asparagus stacks less effective, I'm finding more and more uses for them, as my rocket designs grow more sleek and minimalist.
  4. I hate the new cursor. It's ugly and distracting, and I would like to be able to turn it off.
  5. This is the third thread I have seen about this topic since joining the forums, I doubt the answer has changed.
  6. I hired Samwell Kerman as a scientist. Almost no courage, but moderate intelligence. This isn't the first time I've gotten a Samwell, but the other one was in ~.18, before I looked at Kerbal stats.
  7. The new mouse cursor is something I find rather annoying, and I'm sure others share this opinion. Please add an option so we are able to use our default cursors in KSP, like we did pre 1.0.
  8. I created a thread about disabling the new cursor. No replies. I hope squad can add a setting to change the cursor back to how it was pre 1.0.
  9. I don't really like the new KSP mouse cursor. I find it distractingly gaudy, and the spinning beach ball comes on during loading screens anyway, so I don't really worry about my cursor "fitting" the game. Does anyone know of a way to revert it back to the standard mouse cursor, like it was pre 1.0?
  10. Never tried it beyond a 10 minute test. I still have plenty of things to do in sandbox, and every update adds to my to-do list.
  11. No, I stopped playing about a month ago, I can wait a little longer. I was a little burnt out of KSP, but I am thinking reentry heat may reignite my interests.
  12. When I look at map view, I can't see the flags I have planted. When I try to pull down the little bar at the top of the screen, I can't click anything there. Any ideas?
  13. The graphics are fine for me. I have a computer that pretends it's a toaster for any other game, and I have to run on min settings for those anyway. With KSP, I can play on decent settings as long as my ships do not get too large (or medium:P). I'm a minimalist anyway.
  14. I feel like I have seen 5 or 6 polls asking this question since I joined the forums. The answer is never as simple as choosing one.
  15. I am using a mac, but my keyboard is qwerty. It wasn't much of an issue before .90, now the VAB auto-zooms so I can't edit small details on large rockets.
  16. Shift+Scroll does not work, and neither does + or -. My computer has no numeric keypad. Any suggestions?
  17. How is that even a question?中国。Obviously。
  18. I use part clipping to keep my landers minimal. I have edited the file of the thin probe core to make it how it was pre-patch. I can't stand what it got changed to, it has ruined so many of my probes.
  19. I altered the config files of the the probes so they have the same functionality as in .25. It's rather easy to do, and has helped save all the missions I used the flat probe core on from the previous save. I assume the same would work for anyone else.
  20. I am always obsessed with making EVERYTHING the smallest it can be. I don't use part clipping for lower stages, but for landers and probes, it is a great tool. It does not feel like cheating as long as I don't go overboard.
  21. Wow. I joined the same time as you, and I have managed to land on Gilly and Duna. You have landed on every planet, founded a colony on Laythe, and returned from Eve... I feel incompetent
  22. I can't wait for all the features, particularly the science, sample return, and sub-assemblies. It seemed like just yesterday I was excited over landing on the moon for the first time in .17, but noobs in .22 can plant flags, collect samples, and do science in ways I wish I could during my first missions!
  23. The great firewall only blocks youtube videos and anything in the broad category of politically sensitive. Otherwise *cough VPN cough*, although now they have to be registered:( Still, they work fine.
  24. I would use remote-tech if it did not have delays in signals. I know it is more realistic, but the fun for me is setting up a stable communications satellite network, not having to pilot probes differently.
  25. I can send manned moon and Minmus missions that can return to Kerbin, I can dock, and send one way interplanetary landers and probes as far out as Jool. I am working on a manned Duna mission, but I need to wait for a launch window.
