  1. I have a small suggestion. I started a new career game and I think the oxygen level of the black capsul mk1 need to be increased. It only have like 10-15 minutes ( a guess ). It would be nice if the amount of oxygen the mk1 capsul had would be larger so that the player could at least fly one time arround the planet in orbit and then land. Example std. oxygen 60 minutes ( or maybe 10 houres this will limit people to space arround kerbin without extra oxygen anyway ). - when starting a new game we have limited science points, and it is a bit annoying that I for example only can fly to space for example 1-2 minutes and then we have to enter the atmosphere again, and the pilot almost die due to lack of oxygen. I am aware I can bring extra oxygen and food ect. but it require quite allot of science before I can unlock this. And my only option really to get some science is to create a small aeroplane and go do scome science.. I am just saying not all players like to do this, they want to go into space ;-)
  2. I read on the forum that my joystick x55 rheino ( flight system with 1 joystick and 1 trust ) now work in kerbal 1.1.2 so i loaded the stock airliner in sandbox and took it for a spin and could confirm my joystick now work.. THANK YOU squad ( I had to adjust all the winglet surfaces to 50 so the airplane was less sensitive, but after doing that it work perfect.
  3. Thanks for the headsup... actual I reported that bug during the pre-testing so im very happy to hear the joystick now work ;-) - It is was as descriped an axis problem where the two joysticks ( trust and power joystick ) shared the same axis, and then funny things would happen.
  4. I like to ask where can people who are interested in watching this "historic" launch and mission watch it live ? ( twitch steam ? ) ( sorry if the question have been asked before I did not read all 73 forum pages )
  5. my first post was deleted in the large forum crash some years ago, cant remember what my first post was..
  6. Hello... Yes as far as i know there is a remote control/command unit you can put on a manned ship and then remote control example your rover. Lets imagine you have a rover on duna, and you have a space station in orbit.. without the special command/control unit then the signal come all the way from kerbin with a delay of 20-30sec i think. But if you have a manned ship/station in orbit then the signal delay will be 0 secounds = you can control it in real time.. Technical speaking I think that if you plan to example have a base and control your vehicles in a similar way but where you do everything on the surface, then you need to have a manned ship/base with the command unit, and then I highly recommend that you setup a relay tower somewhere on a hill or a mountain so you avoid loosing contact with your vehicles when they example drive down into a crater.. I think the radio system is "line of sight" so hills and craters might be an issue. Would be nice to have a sattelite to relay signals if you drive somewhere without a signal, then when your sat come you it will automatic relaty signals so you can "save" your vehicle and drive somehwere with a signal
  7. Note..: After the latest small ksp update I have notised that the smallest remote tech antenna ( the one that never break ) now are in a bad place in the research tree. ( require 45 science and "flight control" ). - I think the original possition in the tech tree for this antenna was in the "start" catagory so you can fire and control unmaned rockets from day 0 in ksp. Well here is a very easy fix if people experience this issue. 1). Navigate to your remote tech mod and find the file named...: RemoteTech_Antennas.cfg 2). right click and open it with notepad 3). Find line 6 where it say %TechRequired = flight control 4). change the word " flight control " so it say "start" instead. It have to look like this %TechRequired = start Now the small antenna will be avaliable from the very beginning.. ( remember to buy/unlock it in the research tree ).
  8. Personaly I tired 64bti version of kerbal on Linux and it run KSP fantastic. ( 1.0.5 version ) But regarding if I continue to use linux... Well truth is I really hope linux one day become a very big success since it have many good things to offer, and yes If i used linux everyday for many other things and games on linux instead of windows, then yes i would dump windows and only use linux. However I find linux to be poorly designed and a nightmare to use for new people especially if you have to do things that require you to use the command text/root box... The commands we need to enter is difficult and non inituative. basicly I want a linux version that is inutuitive and work out of the box, with one click installers and a file structure that are easy to use. And I do not want to have to go into a command text box to uninstall example an invidia driver ... we are in 2016 not 1992. For example I mostly play games on my pc, and before I can play most of my games without having to tweat allot of stuff to make them work on linux then I do not stop using windows. Second im so tired of the way the "app" center and installation of things work. Also the file structure of the operative system is not intuitive and annoying to use. Allot of hardware do not work out of the box due to missing drivers or problems and example video drivers are as far as I know never uptodate compared to the windows version. Well in general everytime I deside to try linux I get so dissapointed and return to windows. I wish the linux dev in general would get som professional help and make a serious redesign of their "baby" els linux will continue to be for neards and not for the average person.
  9. Thank you for the update and hard work to make keep this cool mod alive and updated - I only tried the new update for a few minutes, but so far the update look good and I had no issues when i made som very basic tests. ( i pretty much only fired 1 single rocket and see what happen, and remotetech worked as expected ). As I said very basic test no setup of sattelite network or long distance communication.
  10. I presume your name should have been spelled "wilson", since I saw Tom hanks give you this name in his movie "castaway" ?
  11. Dear Ksp players I would like to suggest that when a player find what is common known as an Easter Egg in the game and plant a flag nearby, then the player should get rewarded with some cash and science. I also like to suggest that the reward for the find should be different so that finding something in example ksp spaceport should only give a little reward, while finding something on other planets far far away should pay more money and science. example, finding a monolit near the space center should give 5000 credits and 2science. And finding something on example duna should give 50.000 and 20-50 science.. And finding some of the VERY difficult to find ( like magic boulder/asteroide ) should pay even more. ( well it is just an example ). Anyway what do you guys think about the idea, vote or leave a comment
  12. he he yes that look cool ( forum threat about mini games was posted friday 1 april ) but actual nice idea if we somehow could get awards for forum challenges.
  13. Hello. The short answer is NO. You can recycle things and generate oxygen and water, but you cannot make food as far as I know. So you cannot be 100% self-sufficient. HOWEVER when the mod load the very first time you can select how fast example food should be eaten and there you technical speaking can make the time extremly long so you in terory never need food. But maybe there is some kind of mod that can work together with TAC and generate food for you.. I saw some nice base greenhouse somewhere that might work together with TAC life support... but im not 100% sure.
  14. Docking have always been my favorite thing. ( I would say im an expert in docking and rendevouce ) First of all it is kind of impressive to fly find and dock with something so small in the sky.. Since then I build advanced space stations and planets on other planets ect. I think my first docking was after 7 houres or so since that is how long it took me to figure out how to build a rocket that could go into orbit for the very first time in ( version 16 of ksp or something like that ) After that i saw a youtube video about docking and how to navigate ect. and well docking have always been very natural for me. I cannot remember what I dock the very first time, but i think it was the two 1 person black capsuls.
  15. I just want to thank the Mod dev for creating this usefull mod.. Thank you. I am looking forward to trying the mod and feel a smooth flight with a joystick instead of using the keybord.. I actual wonder why I did not think about looking for such a joystick mod the last 500+ houres.
  16. I Download from steam, roughly 10-30minutes after the pre-v1.1 beta was avaliable. Download was fast and smooth and it worked. ( I did a fresh install and did not reuse any mods or savegames )
  17. Thank you very much for the headsup with the mod, i will try that ;-)
  18. When i tested it, I could not see any on the toolbar windows on my screen. I do not think it work. But im sure it soon will, it is a populare mod that many other mods need to function,. ( i think )
  19. In am playingpre-v1.1 and so far found out the following that I like to share with you guys ;-) I use the new 64bit version. Kerbal engineer 1.1.0.0 ( updated to pre-v1.1 64bit tested and working ) modulemanager 2.6.21 ( updated to pre-v1.1 64bit tested and working ) The following I have tested do not work. -Toolbar ( I do not see the GUI on the screen anywhere ) -remote tech 2 ( I do not see any GUI anywhere, and cannot activate/deactive antennas manual ) - final frontier ( also do not show up anywhere. ) I am playing a Fresh new hard career game.
  20. Nice, much better than mine. (the more I think about creating "the fake it challende", then maybe this was not such a "fun" challenge as I thought when I came up with the idea. But done is done )
  21. Dear Kerbonauts.. During the years we have seen many different kind of challenges here on the ksp forum, but to my knowledge non who ask you to "fake" the upcomming v1.1 version. What is the purpose. Well the purpose is very simple. Play any KSP version of the game, and somehow make it look like the upcomming v1.1 As example have a look at my very poor image where I have tried to "fake" a fps ( frames pr secound ) counter in the left corner to illustrate v1.1 64bit update that will make our games run faster and with more mods in the near future. ( yes my own attempt is not very good, but it give you a tiny idea about what you could do ). http://web.gratisupload.dk/f/8v4dadwnh9/ Rules..: Only rule is that your "fake" v1.1 image/video ect. have to have something to do with the upcomming v1.1. If you need some inspiration what is new, then you can watch the ksp tv right now or search on the forum for images and videos.. ( or look youtube ). I would recommend faking "screenshots" but if you are in for it, you might also could trick people with some video editing. I challenge you all to make a FAKE v1.1 preview of ksp v1.1.. Show me your cool work ;-)
  22. Only way I think it could be possible would be if you example make a flyby of duna or other planet far away, and then crash though the atmosphere of kerbin and then turn on your aircraft engines... good luck surviving the reentry... But technical speaking if you survive you could reach 6000ms. that way i think.
  23. I only play career mode on highest difficulty level + mods like remote tech and life support for realism. Other than that it is pretty much only stock parts i use for construction.
  24. We need 3 different sizes of "pivot engines"... Then people can create everything from folding wings/ramps on planes and robot arms ect ect. Also it would be nice if players would get a reward for finding "easter eggs".. Example we could get money and science when placing a flag within 100m distance from the object.
