  1. In (very bad) theory, a strut gun would work in real life, so long as it was well... planned and measured, metal cable, and a berthing point to embed itself to; but unless you update the docking strut, someone said it doesnt work in .19... so?
  2. does everyone forget about the "strut gun" in the quantum struts pack, that essential makes physical struts with whatevers in front of it when u activate it....? dont know if that would be useful to u
  3. I approve of kilithium; and from now on, my fuel when attached to these will be nicknamed as such
  4. Looks great; simple, and understandable... its a shame like all the other stickys and info threads; it will probably only be read by everyone BUT its target audience
  5. I thought BECAUSE they bend space, warp nacelles couldn't work in gravity too well; but then, im not that on top of the "science" or star trek TOS; and i cant think of any eps of the spin offs where they warp in atmo; but hey, its your mod, and what a mod haha; plus, its only pedanticness; if i use them, they'll be a 3rd or 4th stage engine really
  6. Yeah, i thought that might be the case, as theyre modelled on the warp nacelles, but its close to game breaking; and i was thinking itd be more of a vacuum impulse engines, like star trek ships have, but modelled on their more aesthetical part; not that this is a bad thing, any player with control can play it without breaking it; i did consider weakening my version just a little, before i realised those numbers mean nothing to me ; but ill def use them to make my stuff... pretty, cause, that; yeah, they just look fantastic i had to use the non docking port, docking ports (in structural, forgot what they're called) and put about 6 struts on each for it to work for me
  7. ok, i have one comment to make on this... damned they are powerful; using 4 engines and a rockomax 32... so not even the biggest engine; i escaped the solar system, from the launch pad... otherwise; damn, they are some gorgeous piece of engine
  8. im gonna try it before i rate it, but unless its terrible; looks alone should get it a 4/5
  9. Usually I just use my name, but I do have a save called "Hellfire Laboratories" just cause I wanted to make a science division for my cam sats, and to join in on the flags thread
  10. lol, how long until its ready to download?
  11. ... Wait till u see the new one then :/
  12. By these restrictions I'm mostly just a builder, I love the creativity, but not so big on the flying manual, though I do under certain circumstances, like mucking about haha, plus my game is crammed with mods, either aesthetical ones, or ones that add more science. Needs MOAR science tools! But that's only my mainstream play. I play around doing other stuff. Like atm I'm using a camera mod and Trying to seed the solar system with cam satellites to capture the prettiest pictures I can of SPAAAAAAAAAAACE!... And the planets too I guess
  13. I've used it twice, one for each... I quicksaved once because my station was lagging my game and thought there was gonna be trouble, and the other time I tried to reload my probe that I sent to eeloo, as I wasn't paying attention and burnt the wrong way during circularisation and ran out of fuel... Just for it to quick load me to the initial launch haha
  14. i believe bobcat's H.O.M.E. mod has 3M crew pods
  15. That just made me pronounce it as "ker - ball" but with a brummie (birmingham) accent
  16. I say Ker - bal, pronounsed as in cur - ball
  17. yeah, i have a similar problem with puzzle games; but the comedy factor was worth it (even if i was screaming internally for him to do it right!) for example, i couldnt watch scott manley play antichamber... that was so annoying to watch haha; i just dont like watching puzzle games that i have solved, or solved before the player (not the fault of the player, its always easier to solve i find, in a vid...)
  18. yeah, i was in the middle of watching that; i actually found him because of KSP... well his dad playing it; he does some hilariously great eps
  19. Temporary; i don't really like it, or the name, but, it was kinda cool when i started; plus needs a lil more cropping/resizing/editing And one last edit haha; its meant to say "research and development for a brighter kerbal future"
  20. 20 (metres / second) = 44.7387258 miles per hour; dats pretty fast for a rover; i doubt curiosity can go that fast; or a mun buggy, when in low grav, eh?
  21. I've had this game since about december (demo a fair bit longer) and well... ive quick saved once in that whole time...
  22. I use a power management mod for this that lets me keep just enough power in reserve to deploy solar panels, and its why on my larger ships I always try an squeeze and rtg in, may not be able to run anything, but can usually (for me) keep the craft limping until I save enough power for panels. Or send a rescue I always double check after my first space station had all the ports the wrong way round.... Hated myself for that
  23. Can I be invited to the party? Nachos sound good
  24. Maybe he doesn't want to work for them? Plus they said they don't want an actual autopilot system in game (although the kerbal actions to me sound suspiciously like autopilot under a different name. But hey ho)
  25. Well there are known issues with robotic arms and quantum struts. Otherwise I don't know
