  1. Thanks again! Even my PC will cook itself (4770k+16gbRAM+770GTX) as it has little effect on the unity engine , can't wait for a 64Bit version, i would pay for it! i thought about typing my mod list, but a screenshot is way faster

  3. By now i am getting closer to the 400 hour mark, so here some updates! Jeb collecting antimatter, his new favorite stuff!
  4. sorry, i just couldn't resist.... can't wait for my warp ssto to eve (witch i totally think would be THE spot to mine something like antimatter because its super hard to get off again and the eve sea could be used as an antimatter trap. yeah i know it would be alchemy not science, but so is kethane ) (there already is, only the title should now say 400 hours of ksp ;-) http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/36000-333-hours-of-KSP)
  5. if you have access to kethane you could even go as far as setting up a complete supply base in LKO. thats usually what i do, and set up "tradelines" because you could use a very small freighter to transport atm and a bit bigger one to get kethane from minmus ( the best place for it imho). still everything could be done with relatively few parts. (atm freighter~20 kethane freighter~30-40 station ~10-50 depending on provided service)
  6. depends on where you want to go with it, my guess is that you can create a very simple non reuseable transporter, basicly enough boost to get it up and back down. if you use mechjeb 2.0.9 it can further help you, because it uses fuel very efficiently. if you design your ship in a way where only your atm tank on a parachute comes back, i guess you can do plenty with about 30 parts, including stages. after reaching orbit you will need about 600m/s more to get where your collector should be plus about 450 m/s to get it back to kerbin. (if you want it as easy and reliable as possible, use bobcats great historic spacecraft mod, replace the soyuz cargo part with an atm tank and you are set with very low part count.)

I tend to play ksp like a 4X game, so here is my take on antimatter production: it produces about 500 units a day. i would love to build a bigger one, but even my 4770K+770gtx can't keep the framerate up as soon as my 250part ssto comes to collect the antimatter. :/ therefore i would love to see a "factory" option!
  8. again nice work! i see your point about the kethane dependence but might it be possible so use kethane as a booster? you know, it works without, but if you have kethane it speeds up the process or something like that? still really excited about this mod!
  9. thats what i thought, i had the idea of maybe "refining" kethane with a rate of something like 100/1 and then use the refined kethane and an absurd amount of energy to create 10/1 antimatter? i really love mun and minmus stations and would love to set up an antimatter factory! it would be a 1000 to 1 plus a lot of energy tradeoff which seems not too game-breaking.
  10. the collector on my ship goes up to 7.9....x-007 but it doesn't fill up the directly attached antimatter tank, what am i doing wrong?
  11. I think this is absolutely astonishing! May i ask how much time did you invest in this project? I am really impressed by your concept, and can't wait to give it a try. Mining and resource gathering are my favorite thing to do in ksp so thank you very much for not "just" cheating the thing into working! (also my 100t ssto finally has some use and my orbital gas station has more stuff to sell!) (+1 for the phoenix, i hope you listened to magic carpet ride!)
  12. best anti debris? sunbeam by far, or lazor guided missiles. the most effective and also the most fun way. i miss the option in the poll :
  13. it really saddens me, that i have to wipe/reinstall the game about every other week. i have to because at some point the mods i installed will be a bit to much for what ksp can handle, and even if i deinstall the most recent mods the game dies anyway. i really try to avoid super big ones like KW but even the small ones kill it rather sooner or later. i guess my main problem is that i am a "system builder" i like to have a complete mining corporation working and not just single missions to somewhere. the resulting big savegame (~50mb see here http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/36000-333-hours-of-KSP) might add to the problem
  14. i do have a mod size problem, that is true. i have to carefully select the mods i'm running due to the unity limitations. if i installed everything i have it would be about 8gb as for your other suggestions i tried to explain my station in this pic, i usually divide my ships/stations into parts of ~30 tons, then i assemble them in orbit.
  15. (Update to 500+ hours on the last page!) Hey everyone! After 333hours of KSP i thought it might be time to show off some of my creations. As you might notice, i am mostly interested in resupply/mining/exploitation, so i am really happy about every rescource added to the game! I also would like to thank all the modders of the KSP community for their ongoing great work! nearly all of my ships use mods. Enjoy! Here you can see my Minmus Miner refuelling the Evil Corporation Gas Station, don't buy your fuel anywhere else! No seriously, do you see the lazor guided missiles? DON'T BUY ANYWHERE ELSE! This is the heavy(300tonsfull, no hyperedit!) Evil Corporation Support Drone, it can supply fuel to anything in the kerbal system, the ship on the right is the Kethane Transporter from Mun Surface. I really like this Ship, its a Kerbal Transporter, it can carry up to 32 Kerbals and even reach Duna, thanks to its NTR 400 main engine. My first Mun Base, its mainly Bobcats (really great) stuff, but i like the Picture. I started this Kerbin Arctic Expedition, to prove my theory, that Kerbals come from Space, why else would their heads be so big, and their bodys so tiny. That is the Evil Corporations Mun Support Station, it is a transit point for kerbals and kethane to be shipped of.   18. i love this mod! the only thing missing now are old computer sounds, like the loadout scene from alien or 2001, growing up with those i really miss them
