Same here.
-
No, RP-0 isn't yet compatible with 1.1.2. Gotta wait for updates.~
-
It's actually not that complex, a lot of the configs are very logical. KSP modders created some amazing frameworks. I wouldn't blame anyone tho, just looking into the RO folder makes my head spin... Takes a huge time investment.
-
You're invited to help.
-
To my knowledge, there isn't any other RO compatible tech tree. It's just thousand upon thousands of configs, that need to be seperatly updated.
-
I'd recommend getting Ven Stock Revamp, too. That's an almost requirement, besides procparts and procfairings.
-
Good luck, RO's a true ride! If you got questions, just post them here. Got a bunch of veterans that'll be happy to help.
-
You mean the soviet/russian style quad nozzle arrangement? Bobcat soviet engines has - besides an awesome RD-170 - a modern upper stage quad engine, and SSTU also got RD108/107 (soyuz rocket) engines. Latter ones without Realplume support in RO tho, I'm currently working on them.
-
Btw, coming back to the SSTU plumes, apparently the issue lies with RO. SSTU does have Realplume configs, and they also work in stock. But in RO, I'm only seeing stock plumes (other engines work). There is a folder with SSTU Realplume configs in RO, so I assumed there might be a conflict, but removing the folder doesn't seem to change anything. Another EDIT: I see, is it just the RP format being outdated in the cfgs? If it's just basic copying over numbers, I might do that.
-
I've seen you updated the SSTU support (which is awesome). I didn't get any realplume, but only stock effects, are the plumes not patched or did I somehow make a mistake installing? EDIT: SSTU says it has RP integration to begin with. Strange... So please ignore this, the issue isn't with RO either way.
-
Man, how did I never see this mod before? Those modular engines are brillant (and also high quality models)! Mind is blown...
-
Some rockets, like the Falcon 9, have their helium tanks also inside of the actual fuel tank. Infamously, the failure last year was because a strut keeping the helium tank in place broke.
-
I see, that sounds reasonable. I'll stop asking, was just a bit of a surprise to me.
-
ITS HERE Thanks a lot guise, for all the work, RO is one of the main reasons I was super exited for the whole of 1.1 <3 <3 <3

1.1 is seriously bugged, but comes it as a surprise...
Temeter replied to Temeter's topic in KSP1 Discussion
If it's been a real crunch phase, then a vacation was necessary. And nobody should be worked to death just so you get your update earlier. The issue is rather how the whole thing is setup, requiring a crunch phase in the first place. And btw, there is still 1.0.5, which is rather polished in comparision. Nobody forces you to play 1.1+. -

I can's say much about him as a person, but he was hired as professional PR, because KSP kinda needed a better way of communicaton. -

No, I think destructoid or kotaku made a news out of it, just some half hearted report based on the very vague information we got. To be honest, even after making this thread, I'm not even sure how constructive it really is as a whole. E.g. Reddit is currently in full drama mode right now and people are creating lots of conspiracy theories, mostly based on a lack of understanding how business works. This was mostly about the treatment of squads employees (which tbh, relies on outdated information and vague confirmations), but some people really try to make it a story about how they got wronged by the devs of KSP. Still, I think it's better to let the drama run it's course. I've seen a lot worse e.g. on the steam forums of Uber, the devs behind planetary annihilation. Edit: That said taking a closer look, this thread here is pretty reasonable. Gj community. -
[1.1.3] Orbital Decay v1.5.2 (17/07/2016) - Total Overhaul

KSP 1.2.1 is out -
Very nice, game was missing something like this. I got something like this from the cryoengines mod, but this stuff will be super helpful to people.

[1.2.2] Stock Part Revamp, Update 1.9.6. Released Source Files!

@Thahat If you're really worried about realism, that docking port is perfectly fine. There is no reason to make the door into a 90 degree angle in space, since there is no up and down anyway. You'd rather construct the door so it ultilized the interior in the most efficient way, which should be especially important for such a tiny craft. -
[1.12.x] Kerbal Atomics: fancy nuclear engines! (August 18, 2024)
Temeter replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Yep! Includes MM patches allowing you to convert ore into LH2/LH2+Oxygen, just like NFP does with Lithium. -

You're trying to read his motivations, I'm trying to read what value is there in his claims? -

Honestly, I never really noticed that much drama. There was a bunch of mostly pointless negativity at times, but not much in the near future i think? Then again, I took a bit of brake for a while cause i was a bit burned out on KSP. I've definitly seen Squad changing their communication policies over time, tho. Especially with the huge steam release they got a bit more carefull with what they said.
