I only paid £10 for Kerbal Space Program, and I feel bad about it.

If you want to further support the devs, buy their merchandise off their website. -
I'm with nikola, something very funny is going around. AND YOU TEASED US WITH IT

Go to your action groups, select the brakes action groups, and disable the front wheels. There you go. You won't have problems anymore.

what kind of ksp DLC would you like?
Turbojohn replied to Roderik's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
no one makes expansion packs? MMM, I just finished playing Civ 5 Brave New World, GTA Episodes from liberty city, Saints row Gat out of hell, and a heck of alot more games have done expansion packs. Regardless, in a game where community sharing is essential like in KSP, I feel like it will be alienating to a part of the community who doesn't get the expansion pack. That's a real issue unlike most other titles in the previous list. The way I feel KSP devs want to develop this game is just like minecraft, and just like minecraft, there's no DLCs, and no expansions, because that would alienate part of the community - - - Updated - - - I don't tm my statements... Go ahead! I also don't take responsibility if someone finds it offensive, reports it and you get penalized for it... -

How about a solid middle finger to DLCs? -
I built my car according to specifications but I can't go lower than 1:50. How the hell do you go so fast, I have troubles getting my car to go 25 m/s let alone 30 o.O

I had precisely made a Formula K car some months ago, but I need to apply some changes for it to be in this competition. When I was a kid I always wanted to be either an astronaut or a F1 driver. I never knew I could be both at the same time...

An observation of the effects of flights in progress
Turbojohn replied to RTS321's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I didn't know this. Do flags affect the framerate. Does the location of the flights affect it also? -
Depends on what I'm doing, I'll play metal while a rocket is launching, classic music in interplanetary missions, smooth jazz in low earth orbit, classic rock when on a rover, songs like shine on you crazy diamond for Epic missions like exploring the moons of Jool etc. I do like the in game music, but I turn it off because it's not varied enough.

Love the amphibious rover! -
I shat my pants when I saw this. If KSP never hat multiplayer it'd be a crime. However I don't have any friends who play this game yet Is there any servers I can join?

Thanks for the answer, I'm going to test if it is the ocean. And yes, I know that looking up helps, that wasn't my concern.

I said in the thread that I still had low framerate on a fresh save game. A new game...
-
Straightforward question: Is it normal to have reduced Frames per second while near the KSC. At first I thought it was the amount of debris, but when I started a fresh save it still had low FPS. I figured the new buildings are more detailed and that's the reason. But I don't see anyone having this problem. My computer is quite good, I don't understand why it lags. If graphics are the problem I don't think a GTX560 should have that much problem. If processing power is, I don't know why an i7 2600 shouldn't handle either way. Before this update it ran fine. I ask this question because this problem might be just me, as I don't see people having this issue.

I'm 17 years old. I want to become an astronomer. When I started playing it, when Kurtjmac uploaded his first video of the game, I was already interested in space related things. This game teached me orbital mechanics, I had no idea how it worked, and it's surprisingly not as complex as I thought. It teached me, that when we finish a mission after hours of designing, launching, the sense of accomplish something is REALLY worth all the hard work you put into it. I never had a similar feeling in my life. School doesn't teach that, most games don't do it. It's a nice thing, that I'm sure applies to real life too. (Although in real life there is allways the danger of the unexpected ruining everything)

As far as I know they don't have wars. So I'm inclined to say they're smarter then us. Perhaps they are "suicidal" because they know they will respawn

Say it here if .21 works perfectly for you
Turbojohn replied to stupid_chris's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I'm having no issues. Only once the space center menu stopped working, but a restart fixed it and it was no problem. I gotta thank the devs for making the save file compatible. You guys didn't need to do it, but you went an extra mile for our happiness. -
Simple question regarding the next update
Turbojohn replied to Turbojohn's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Thanks for the answer guys. I'll go cry in the corner, and De orbit my space station for my amusement. -
Oldtimers - help me enjoy the game more!
Turbojohn replied to Jackissimus's topic in KSP1 Discussion
What do you mean when you say "In a way the authors intended"? It's a sandbox game. The point of a sandbox game is to, actually quite ironicaly: Think outside the box. Sometimes putting some rules to make it a challenge is nice. But confining ourselves to how the devs wants us to play? No way. Well, since the devs are cool guys, it's kind of impossible to not play how it is intended. -
Losing controll in a well balanced plane.
Turbojohn replied to Turbojohn's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I've never touched the center of thrust. I'm going to try removing the air intakes in the front. Not really aestetical purposes, I put them there to increase lift and to separate the center of lift from the center of mass. I'm going to try and remove some of them. Yes. But it's not that because after losing controll I've checked and it's symmetrical. It's stock and I'm going to upload it. I removed the winglets and the result was surprising. The plane never lost control and I managed 1600 m/s at 25 km The problem is that when I disabled SAS to correct my atitude it imediately started to yaw left Thanks to everyone for the help! -
What's your favorite mun/planet in the kerbolsystem?
Turbojohn replied to AstronautGeologist's topic in KSP1 Discussion
No... Eeloo is the enceladus analogue, but it's not a moon yet... -
Losing controll in a well balanced plane.
Turbojohn replied to Turbojohn's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
So I removed the ladder, and changed the fuel lines. It still does it. I don't know what does it. But it may be that the faster I go, the plane has a bigger tendency to do it. Perhaps it's my path that it's not really in the prograde direction that pushes the plane. But I still find it weird because on my other planes I can fly them easily...
