  1. SO, after the successful landing and return mission i designed a rover and landed there for permanent research. (i still cant believe it landed straight) now here's the thing..The rover wont move..or not in a particular direction. (SAS is turned off, the brakes are loosened). It just sits there and spins. (and sometimes drifts off, which is why i activated the brakes in the pic) Any suggestions on fixing this?
  2. that vandenburg one seems to be working fine. (also, that comment section is hilarious)
  3. why should i play with other people, that can eaisly ruin my hard earned (and surely satisfying) game experience? in a game like KSP where your skill alone is the key to a half assed successful mission, this factor is multiplied by the hundredthousands. if this thing goes MP, i just wasted money.
  4. Aw man, you gotta love the conspiracy theories flowering in that youtube comment section. nice pictures, though.
  5. you know, it's funny when you go "that looks like symmetry-clipping glitch" at a real rocket.
  6. Greek Deities for Probe missions (Hermes now orbits the sun, Dyonisos is made for delivering solarpanels to stations), Celtic deities for manned missions(Thor is currently tested for landing on the Mun), Anatomy for undesignated explorer missions(Visceral, my trusty Rover probe, Epiderm, high kerbin orbit probe), Hierachy forms for Space stations (Monarch still explodes on the launchpad.), Insects for remotetech probes (3 WASP's orbit kelvin, but still cant get signal :/), once there is a stock-reason for settlement, the colonies will be named after Stephen King Novels. maybe they're cliche, but i don't think they're that lazy
  7. i wonder what happens if you EVA him. Also, what happens if you select him via the tracking station. He reminds me of silent hill. Oo
  8. I wouldn't mind religions if it weren't for the wars. Also, the increasing close-mindedness of religious people (which somewhere goes to ridiculous statements) makes (some) these people kind of intolerable for me.
  9. Did you leave the SAS on? Do you have RCS enabled? Do you have enough monopropellant fuel?
  10. I shot a mun-orbit satellite into the sun. I also wanted to test some fuel-efficient stagings and ended up orbiting the sun. (as the mission was actually intended - but not in this haphazzard test stage)
  11. Bilory Kerman and Alzer Kerman; testers of the on-kerbin crew retriever ship Sysiphos III and IV. Bilory splashed into the ocean, as the engines failed to a lack of fuel crossfeed cables, but survived. Alzer Kerman rescued him with the water-retriever ship Sysiphos IV, everything went fine, but when they tried to get back to land, the ship hit the velocity breakdown at 40m/s in the water, which not only did destroy the engines, but pulverzied both crew compardments. Kirk Kerman, pilot of the Hermes II, an explorer ship, died of what seemed to be suicide. As the fuel ran low, he first aimed for a stanrd landing, but as his fuel ran out, he realized he would crash into the ground at 150m/s. Then, the unthinkable happened. he realized that his parachutes where deployed at the starting point for some reason... So he opened the crew hatch, got out and embraced death at hitting the ground with Hermes II and the resulting explosion.
  12. As i was already interested in basically, all of the science (except geology) and as an Engineer (note: not the american 'engineer' title, i mean the european academic title. i think its equivalent to a Bachelor in science and engineering or something along the lines.), i was already fond with most of the workings of propulsion/orbiting/athmospheres. I stumbled over KSP while searching for simulation programs (actually i searched for civilization-type sims) on steam. lo and behold; this was the real deal for me. I won't say KSP changed my life, but it certainly adds a fine spice to the mix.
  13. I designed this thing i call Sysiphos (currently, it's 5th incarnation) for on-Kerbin rescue missions. As stated by someone else in another thread: Spaceplanes are hard. The plane part is kinda stable, but still a bit rough on the landing (topples over, goes into uncorrectable spin)..
  14. Alright so i searched the forum and google (and since there are archived threads there about that, i cant reach them) After various Tests for vehicles and rescue missions for the trapped and motionless vehicle testers in reach of the KSC, i deleted their flights. The debris from the crashes stays somehow..And it's causing a lagfest because its about 1km from the runway. Any suggestion how to clean up debris? is there a function i missed?
  15. Granted, pumpkin pie tastes like turds to you now. I wish for 4chan to not exist.
  16. Granted, it ricocheted. I wish for KSP to be 1.0.0
  17. This is a prototype for a Crew retriever on Kerbin, since only landing on the planet and calling it quits because i am still sucking at point landing. As ive seen through the testing stages, it needs an engine for propellation through water. That was quite a fun ride, though.
  18. Granted, You wish. Nothing else happens. I wish i know what i could wish for.
  19. You die because of the paradox. I wish to land on the sun and not get burned.
  20. Granted. It only has 4 buttons: 1, 0, Enter, delete. I want an unlimited energy source that doesnt need ressources.
  21. Granted, but now everybody with an internet access (to study troll science) is a millionaire which crumbles the economic work force and topples in a big anarchic breakdown as the only work force left are people without internet. A monarchy led by the richest of the rich and the rest are peasants(about 20% of the world population). Also, ice cream now cost 10000 bucks per scoop. I wish for Zero gravity at will.
  22. na hallo. wer is hier deutscher und wer österreicher?^^
  23. the last one did have a good liftoff and would have made it (if i didnt accidently click on the flight computer that sent the plane spinning like the girls head from exorcist) I'm trying this one now. i'll keep you posted if that works. Edit: i removed the "tail fins" at the center and the tail fins on the side. they stopped my engines, apparently. Edit: Success! still a bit wobbly with the SAS on, but steerable. and landable.
