  1. Check out Danny2462. If I remember correctly most/all of his stuff is pretty clean. Hilarious, to boot.
  2. My standard is Anvil Aerospace NLC. Because most of my initial prototypes fly worse than an anvil, and NLC instead of LLC because we assume no liability for any disasters.
  3. I've got a 120hz monitor with the nVidia 3D built into it (came with the glasses and everything). I've tried the 3D in KSP, and I agree - it made docking MUCH cooler. The problem, however (at least with the nVidia 3D, I haven't tried anaglyph glasses), is that the game UI and star backdrop are NOT made for 3D. I don't just mean that the UI elements were at a different depth from everything else either - they were all rendered twice, making the whole experience rather dizzying. If there was better support for it, I'd be playing KSP in 3D all the time...because the actual 3D rendered objects looked AWESOME.
  4. If you mean how he got them partially inside the fuselage, that's done with the part-clipping option turned on in the debugging menu. Alt+F12 opens the debug menu. I use part clipping a lot. I really don't think it's cheating, it lets you design cleaner looking and more intricate craft, but drag and mass still plays a role on those parts.
  5. Congrats! For me, docking and rendezvousing for the first time gave me a better sense of accomplishment than landing on another body. Well done!
  6. Stanonwheels - derped or not, that HP Victor is AWESOME! Well done, sir!
  7. Holy...wow. I did laugh pretty loudly at that, though.
  8. Thanks for sharing the pics! I've been pretty keen on picking one of these up myself.
  9. Something tells me you could've landed that OVER the Armstrong memorial!
  10. I would really, really, really like to see some Kerbonaut plushies. With removable helmets!
  11. That is...large. 0_o I tend to use Greek/Roman mythological names more than I probably should, but have you looked into some of those names? Or maybe just "Gigantor" or something, lol!
  12. It is extremely difficult to get a truly working SSTO space plane. Of the probably 30-40 designs I've toyed with (stock parts, no MJ or anything), I've had only about 5 or 6 of those designs that will reliably take off, reach orbit, de-orbit, and land back on the runway in a single, unrefueled flight. Once I get them to that point, I'll start strapping them with science equipment, maybe lander legs, etc., and use them mostly as scouts. I just like having the ability to make powered landings, use them as crew transfer vehicles, and other similar missions. They are not easy at all, but MAN will you feel accomplished once you've got it figured out! On a side note, Captain Kalawang's summary of possible outcomes looks pretty much identical to my prototyping process on new designs, with very few exceptions!
  13. Oh geez...now I'm trying to come up with more lyrics...
  14. Sir Nahme, you signature killed me...and I was singing it in my head as soon as I read the first sentence!
  15. I really have no complaints with this release. MUCH better framerates (it'll actually take advantage of my 120hz now! ), a bit quicker load times, MUCH improved VAB/SPH UI and ease of use... It's pretty great, as far as I'm concerned. The only thing I've seen so far is the "jittering" camera occasionally while on EVA. Aside from that, great work, Squad!
