  1. Using a mod and modifying stock values are different. Even then mention is made to propulsion systems and weapons. I may dq pike, the sunfish and berzerker 2 if anything more than bdai values were tweaked outside an editor.
  2. Eidahlil developed this plane specifically after i told AlexClark he needed thrust vectored engines and fewer missiles on his plane. and somehow this thing works why would you leave a setting like that as a tweakable? that seems like something that should be hard-coded into the weapon. That's like leaving the max thrust of an engine as something you can tweak in a craft file.
  3. right, i clearly don't have the mental capacities to continue this tonight, so i will continue posting videos tomorrow. Spoiler
  4. @Eidahlil I cannot fully disclose my displeasure for the flying sunfish you have created due to the rules of offensive language on this forum. There is no reason this aircraft, this conglomeration of one of the weakest, most inappropriate for combat engines in KSC's inventory, wing strakes, and sidewinders should have any place on this board. It's not capable of actually flying to its waypoint at first start, instead opting to circle the KSC randomly until i reset the combat. Its strongsuit is throwing missiles like a pedophile at a childrens parade. But somehow it's dethroned @kittenshark134's F-19d. I really don't think there's an aircraft i've rooted for less than this flying meme. so, yeah... good job. you proved me wrong.
  5. You did, if used properly, a lot of missiles isn't a horrible thing. You had your missiles set to one per target, i would have expected...what, like six with that kind of weapons loadout? Would be great if set up for routing until you got to the drones/low profile stuff. Your aircraft got hit hard by missiles because its ECM/CHAFF systems were not up to snuff, and you gave up maneuverability by using a non-vectoring engine. My points still stand, you could have used more thrust or less weight, and 25% of your aircraft weight was missiles which may as well have been on static display. Watch the videos and figure out what you need to change from that. Alright @darth_bachious its time to test out the 325 A Raider against the #5, @kittenshark134's F-19-d SparrowDart Unfortunately, this aircraft has no ailerons and sluggish elevator, giving it the handling of a 737 taking off for a transcontinental spring break flight. Weight needed to be a little more centered, and putting 3 tons on the wingtips didnt help with that. Better luck next time.
  6. see, there aren't a lot of dogfights here won by missiles. If one is, its usually a sign of an oversight or oversized aircraft. And i don't think i referred to the x-24 as the missile molester, i said the X-24 got molested by missiles because all the kills were missiles, showing an oversight in the CHAFF/ECM/FLARE department. Also @darth_bachious i am testing your aircraft, and while it is unwritten, ailerons/ control surfaces that function for roll/pitch/yaw are essential if not required.
  7. But does it have any significant upsides that would make it more accurate or harder to jink? speed isn't necessarily a good thing.
  8. Nein! Spaß ist strengstens untersagt.
  9. hint: make a 2.1 with a single/pair of AIM-9s. May have done better if it wasnt being routed.
  10. no one has ever updated that section, and i don't intend to, but thanks
  11. you understand that there are no landing gear for horizontal flight at all in new tech, right? or that you would almost inevitably fail the "keep the aircraft below 60 degrees" on parachute deployment. or that there's only basic fins so you are inevitably designing a rocket.
  12. No that should be good. Lets keep it at or below elementary school naughty words. also, threads hot.
  13. That's why i go through the effort to keep the leaderboard up-to-date and use hyperlinks on all the top craft, so you can test it. also
  14. no they're not No worries, Dundun92's done the same thing. Why i emphasize, we're now 60 pages deep in trash talking and fighter design, testing is critical XD.
  15. Alright folks, last fight of the night, we have @MDZhB's F-4l Super Key up against @kittenshark134's F-19d Sparrowdart. Perhaps the F-4l could have won if the F-4l's wingmen didn't knock out the lead with AIM-9s. every. time.
  16. @AlexClark how did you forget the air intakes on your X-59?
  17. then i'll put a new rule in and call myself a moron. Alrighty, and for the piece de resistance, we have @Eidahlil's Pike defending the skies from @goduranus Rabid Squirrels. And in the tie up round...the last rabid squirrel puts itself down, giving the win to the Pike. Really close battle though.
  18. they are the ear bad person engines included in Airplane Plus. An analog to the F-5/T-38's tiny engines holy crap it corrected what Brock Turner is to Bad Person XD Eek indeed. @goduranus' creation goes on to fight Pike for air dominance.
  19. Speaking of rabies, @goduranus Rabid Squirrel is about to take on the DN-65c Man that rabies looks pretty terminal.
  20. this prevents the AIM-9 from colliding with stuff. Namely your own aircraft. Or safety detonating and destroying your aircraft.
  21. And speaking of friendly fire, @goduranus has set up a squirrel fight for us, Rabid Squirrel against Flying Squirrel In round 2, we see a friendly fire incident from the AIM-9 usage, but the Rabid Squirrel prevails. Because its replacing a roster aircraft, the Flying Squirrel is just eliminated, and the Rabid Squirrel will be taking its seat. It will continue to be tested and progress.
  22. Aim 9s were developed in an analog age. They basically sense a source of heat and lock onto it. Doesnt care about friend or foe, and this is seen when the AIM-9 friendly fires on aircraft. It also safeties and self destructs if it loses lock. So if a craft was using afterburner at a long distance when the AIM-9 was fired, and the craft reduces its infrared signature by dropping afterburner, it loses lock and self-destructs.
