  1. And the mods save the day. But here's a link to eyebleach anyways incase you want to look at incredibly cute kittens.
  2. So where did the name Jeblime come from? I always thought it would've been Jebette.
  3. I tired to render a scene when I ended up getting... Fishbowl Kerman
  4. I don't think spacesuits work that way...
  5. If you want Multiplayer grab a friend or two and take turns passing a save file around. That's the closest you will get to Multiplayer in KSP. Can we lock this thread now?
  6. My first Jool probe got stuck in orbit: But with my next probe I visited Tylo. It doesn't get much love. Carl Sagan in one of the craters. Tylo Map:
  7. Ehh I've ripped the Laythe textures from in-game. They're only 4k. Not good if you want to get a closeup shot.
  8. Wow don't get you panties in a twist. All I did was use 3D Ripper DX while in the main menu. Haha. If only I was able to rip out the character in a T-Pose. I would have released the model for people to use in their animations. Next time you want answers don't act like a smartass k? And just in case you still feel like you're right here's the file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/56154768/stuff.rar?dl=1 Since you were a dick you have to clean up the file yourself. Have fun!
  9. Just my advice, I think you should make your own Laythe terrain, but keep to the same color scheme. It's impossible for life outside of Laythe's oceans to exist due to radiation. But hey, you're the artist, and I'm just a random guy checking your thread so yeah do what you want.
  10. That's badass! Any tips on how to do stuff like this? This is the best I can make:
  11. Thanks! I got the photo of the kerbal from here: http://kerbaldevteam.tumblr.com/post/30350635455/well-see-you-on-the-dark-side-of-the-mun-neil The reason it doesn't have any jaggies is because of the magical Refine Edge tool in photoshop. Seriously that thing is a miracle. Here's the cutout if you want it:
  12. Agree. We are simply not ready for Mars. We haven't walked on the surface of another planet in 41 years. Mars is going to be a helluva lot easier and cost much less if we test and/or develop better life support, manufacturing, and EVA technologies on the Moon first.
  13. I guess I'll just play the game with myself http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_orange ...a term that the book calls "doubly inappropriate": it had no magnetic field and was millions of miles from Tycho...
  14. Got bored and made a simple thing in photoshop. May or may not become a cinematic.
  15. Can we make this "treating devs with respect" extend out to the mod community too? There seems to be a lot of entitled douchecanoes there that seem to think that modders are obligated to update their mods. A good example of this is KW Rocketry. A lot of people sent angry comments to Kyle and Winston simply because they didn't post or change their thread title when the 0.20.1 update came out. KW is going to get an update soon, but, those who know who you are, please don't be an asshole when the post shows up. Us modders have lives too!
  16. You should try to replicate the GRAIL mission
  17. Uhh you're supposed to guess the Wikipedia page too. Anyways, it's a Sandworm ...a color used in the aerospace industry to set objects apart from their surroundings, similar to safety orange, but deeper and with a more reddish tone...
  18. Pluto "Colonists living within the dwarf planet Ceres escape the initial attack unnoticed. Unfortunately, the waste heat from normal colony operations, plus the colony's cavern excavations, have produced an unmistakable corona of dust and infrared emissions. The colonists know they will likely draw the aliens' attention sooner or later, but have no choice but to try to hide. They drop power usage to near zero and cut all radio transmissions. The aliens, however, broadcast a virus program which one of the Ceres robots picks up. The virus tells the robot to make self-replicating nanomachines. These "Grey goo" nanobots (the book describes them as self-replicating molecules that raise the melting point of ceramic and metal compounds) disassemble the Ceres habitat, killing all the colonists."
  19. Lol I was making a joke about the grid pattern. It looks awesome so far!
  20. It could also be the worst thing that could happen to humanity. Here's a nice little excerpt from The Killing Star:
  21. Since I'm tired of irradiating KSC, I've decided to use the Kerbtown plugin to make a dedicated launch site for Orion:
