  1. I'm pretty sure your original planted flag will stay the same. I think a quick question thread could become pretty congested.
  2. I made an F-16 based on some pictures. It flies OK.
  3. Very well made, I like it I tried to make an Albatros D-III after seeing this. I got the shapes pretty well but the weird tail made it unstable.
  4. Yep. It even got to the Mun without refuel. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/27276-Sentinel-Mk-V-Spaceplane-SSTMO-%28Single-Stage-to-Munar-Orbit%29?highlight=sentinel
  5. I'm just saying that it's pointless to use an aircraft's empty weight in a TWR since it will never be usable.
  6. The engines seem to work along with the aerodynamics of the game. When the aerodynamics get updated, the engines' power will change too. How do you have an empty TWR? You need fuel to get any thrust.
  7. when you launch and attempt to dock a space station piece and realize you've forgotten lights as well as a docking port.
  8. A ringed planet for sure, and maybe a comet in a highly elliptical orbit. I'd also like to see dynamic effects on the surfaces of the already existing planets. Also, a black hole far away. (easter egg?) If you go inside, after crossing the event horizon, you'd end up EVA in a room kinda like this: Cause this game doesn't have enough references to it
  9. I did a couple of times, though I try not to I was building a station and was attaching the third piece. The docking ports would line up and attract each other but the two ships would never actually "join". I tried quicksaving, quickloading, and restarting KSP but they still wouldn't join up. I had to end the flight and send up a new one, and since I was already frustrated at my last rendezvous so I used infinite fuel (lacking Hyperedit, which it sounds like I should get for things like this.) On the topic of "cheating", it's just about what you want to do in the game and what you set your goals to. If you want to make a really cool station but can't get it into orbit, that shouldn't stop you. If you want to challenge yourself and make a hyper-realistic space mission, go for it. It's just personal preference of how and what you do to enjoy the game.
  10. My favorite of my SSTO's. It's able to make it to Munar orbit without refueling. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/27276-Sentinel-Mk-V-Spaceplane-SSTMO-%28Single-Stage-to-Munar-Orbit%29
  11. Update: I was wrong about its size limiting its range. In fact, it can go farther than most of my planes. After toying with it for a bit, I found it can get to a Munar orbit reliably
  12. I'd recommend Mediafire for uploading crafts. Nice job, by the way
  13. This plane is designed to be light, small, and quick to get into orbit. And apparently it can get to the Mun in one stage. The highest circular orbit I've gotten to was about 1,600km. If instead of circularizing, you burn to a Munar encounter, you'll have enough fuel to make it there and to even circularize! Munar Orbit Mission album: http://imgur.com/a/baccK#0 Action Groups: 1: Toggle jets 2: Toggle rockets 3: Toggle intakes 4: Open docking port/activate docking lights Instructions: Take off: Nose up slowly (pulling up too fast will hit your engines on the runway). Keep nosing up until you reach 50 degrees. Stay at 50 degrees either manually or with SAS. 6km-10km Even with SAS or nosing up as much as you can, you'll dip between 35 and 45 degrees. This is normal; you'll nose up more later. 15km: Dip down to 40 degrees. 17km: Dip to 35 degrees. 19km: Dip to 30 degrees. 21km: Dip to 25 degrees. 23km: Dip to 20 degrees. 25km: Dip to 10-15 degrees. 28km-30km: This needs to be quick. When your intake air gets to 0.15, immediately start your rockets (with 2) and nose up to about 20 degrees. When your intake air gets to 0.13, cut the jets (with 1) and close the intakes (with 3). Getting to orbit: Nose up until you get your apoapsis to the desired height. Instead of full-throttling your way there through the upper atmosphere (navy blue section), all the while wasting fuel, you should keep the rockets going at the lowest throttle possible. This keeps your apoapsis from dropping and conserves fuel. Craft: http://www./download.php?sb34b312lz81p8s Happy flying!
