  1. 1) Planetary Annihilation for sure. That game looks awesome. 2) Seven-G F/A-18 hopefully. Long wait but I'm kipping my hopes. 3) Mortal Kombat 9 for PC... Oh wait, it was released 5 days ago! Yeah!
  2. All fine answers you have been given. The only thing I would add is get the Lazor Docking Cam mod , my God it's day and night to me. That thing is an absolute must IMO. Essentially it adds a cam to your docking port, it helps not only because you can see the target port, but also because it shows you some cross-hairs that help you align the two ships without even seeing the target. You just align the cross-hairs, activate ASAS, and off you go with RCS to get to position and dock. Also, when practicing with small ships, I find using an ASAS-SAS combination for rotational control a lot more convenient than ASAS-RCS. So plan for a good SAS performance (again, small ships work a lot better for this). Also, you might want to press Caps Lock so you RCS is more precise so you don't over do your adjustments.
  3. I'm curious as to why those age ranges you chose? In any case, I'm 32. Like they say "the 30s are the new 20s with money" and despite not feeling like it (cos I don't feel young nor I have money) I think it's true.
  4. Yep, looks like it. And since we are on the subject. The prograde marker (yellow circle with three lines in the navball), also called the "flight path marker" in airplanes, marks where you are going regardless of where you aim your nose. In this case, it's below the horizon, so rise your nose at least until it's above it. This is also useful for spaceplanes, to keep a level flight just put the FPM/prograde marker over the horizon.
  5. I think it's the other way around. It is a side effect of having a girlfriend. She will want to do things together. And one of those things is attend to social events such as parties, weddings, baptisms and the like. The opposite, for some reason, doesn't normally happen. Men don't always expect women to go to where they want to, in fact in many occasions they don't want them to come along. PS: I wonder why I'm still single.
  6. And it is. A friend of mine always said "I want a girlfriend that likes video games so we can play together" and we were always "nah, that's never gonna happen". And guest what? It happened... and it wasn't pretty at all. After some time he was like "why can't she play alone?!". There are things you don't like to do with your girlfriend, you know, having some "me" time. And if your "me" time is playing games, then you're screwed: you can't say "no, I don't want to play with you"!
  7. My apologies if this has been asked before, I searched but couldn't find anything. Is there any known issue with MechJeb where its auto-stage and prevent overheat features in the ascent autopilot stay active even when you're not using the ascent autopilot? In particular the auto-stage thing is annoying as hell if you forget it will jettison your engines and tanks when you don't want, or even worse, you will hit space to do it yourself and ka-boom! Two stages fired, one by you and one by MJ. I'm using KSP 0.19 and MJ 2.0.6.
  8. Hmm...
  10. Have you ever wondered why new software comes all the time? Why companies just can't stop releasing new stuff? The company I work for is constantly adding stuff to the system and not improving what they already have. Innovation or stagnation seems to be the key. That is pretty much what is going on with the F-35. You have an industry, companies, people, they have to be working on something or the industry will stagnate. Why don't they work on an improved version of an already existing plane? Dunno, probably the same reason Microsoft releases new versions of Widows instead of adding stuff and polishing say, Win7. BTW, about the A-10. There are no factories to produce parts for it anymore. The A-10 flying today run on surplus parts. For some reason, it seems logical to set up new production lines for aircrafts than are not in production yet, instead of keeping the old ones open.
  11. The good thing about your idea is that it's free. I guess I could OC, but given my luck (or lack of it) I better don't try to do anything dangerous. But for now, I don't have plans for big stuff, so I guess I shouldn't have any major problems with lag. Specially considering that I just had completed my first docking tutorial before the GPU went bananas , so I have a long way to go. Time will tell.
  12. It's an Asus P8B75 so I believe it can't be overclocked. In any case, with the hit I took with the GPU I don't have more money left for a water cooling system. (you won't believe the price of that thing here in Argentina) So 100-200 parts... hmmm... I can live with that, I guess. Also, I might have not used the search feature very well, cos now I was searching for "physics delta" and I'm finding a lot of reference to the parts vs hardware topic. Thanks all for the answers!
  13. Ok, so since my GTX 560 went to oblivion after four days playing the KSP demo (and one after I bought the full game, really good luck:huh:) and I'm waiting for the new 680 to arrive, I've been reading the forums and watching videos on Youtube... And one thing I learned is this problem with too many parts causing FPS problems. So, since all I have now is my "ho, boy, I wish I could be playing this game now" feeling and 3 million ideas to try when I get the new GPU installed, I ask: does any body has any info regarding this? I mean, how many parts are needed to kill what hardware, more or less? Is there a way to estimate? My specs are an Intel Core i7 3770 at 3.40 GHz, 8GB of RAM and a GTX 680, so I was wondering how big will I be able to build. PS: Yes, kind of stupid question, but I'm bored because I can't play. All I can do KSP-related is read the forums.
  14. Old thread, but just of the sake of posterity, here's a video with an idea a liked to rescue people or entire capsules.
  15. Done. I didn't have 10 games to put on the list. Is that good or bad?
