How do I upload a crash log?
Finnerty replied to justcause2's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
This should help answer your questions. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/24543-NEED-SUPPORT-Read-this-before-posting?highlight=upload+crash -
That first pic is similar to what I've been putting in orbit. I have 2 around Kerbal, one equitorial and one polar, one around the Mun equator, and one around the equator of Minmus. And I'm just getting started launching these little satellites. I plan on 2 for each planet and one around each moon, just to say "I was here", and to find out for myself about how much fuel it takes to get to each one before a landing attempt. I could read about or watch videos on getting to each one, but that spoils the challenge.

Been trying to figure out what the heck this line is just under the autosave interval, so I sent an email to the devs and this is the response I got: "That's the time interval for another attempt at saving, in case the first attempt fails (due to being under acceleration, or flying or any situation that might prevent saving). If the auto save fails, it will continuously retry on that interval until it's able to save again." Best Regards, KSP Support

And we have a winner! Nice work, very nice.

Doesn't completely answer istme86 question, but its a step in the right direction.

100% Vanilla for now. Some mods may be implemented into the game in future updates. I like to think the Devs view mods as suggestions for what the users would like in the game. So maybe what is now a mod could be part of the game, gonna be patient and wait and see. Besides, future updates may cause current mods to not function correctly, then you have to update the mods to keep up with the updates to the game etc...

What has KSP do to change your regular life
Finnerty replied to TheCanadianVendingMachine's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Minecraft and F1 2011 are collecting dust now. KSP uber alles. And as I am trying to fall asleep at night, can't stop planning ahead on the next design change that will work to get a satellite into Minmus orbit. -
Here is my first Mun Encounter and Orbit. Barely did get into a orbit with the small amount of fuel I had. This is the largest single fuel tank /w largest engine to boost to Kerbin orbit, then to the Mun with the small single tank and small engine. But I did get a Sputnik satellite into orbit. Tried to use this same setup to get to Minmus and its just not enough fuel.

Can auto save be disabled?
Finnerty replied to YURI KAGARIN's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
This thread is old, but I just have to ask about AUTOSAVE_SHORT_INTERVAL = 5, which is right below the AUTOSAVE_INTERVAL = 300, what is it for? -
The first soundtrack when starting the game sounds similar to something from Final Fantasy XI to me.

Good first effort.

Also watched Part 1 on YouTube. Pink Floyd, finally someone used music from Dark Side of the Moon. Very appropriate for space travel videos. I don't have a YouTube account, so I had to come back here to comment on Part 1. Amazing what is possible with video editing, well done.

Kosmo-not, hello Chico Cali, I lived in Los Molinos for several years, 1972-1977 went to Lassen View Elementary in the early seventies. Yea, I'm that old and still playing games. Still have some lingering family (I think) in Chico. Nice video. Holding off on mods, gonna wait and see just what is added to this game. I may not need mods. I'm sure the DEVS are looking at what modders are creating and the popularity of these mods and may incorporate similar into the game. So patience is a virtue. Just wait and see. Besides, if I start now with mods, I may have to waste time updating them with every KSP update, just find that KSP has added to the game what I wanted in a mod. Anyway, the music choice was great for these cinematics.

Gotta be more specific, system specs?, are your ships or planes massive with alot of parts?, using any mods with them? etc....
-
Checked the comments on the other post and you still didn't specify what changes you made to improve your frame rate. Saw others suggestions, but what did you do to fix it? Do tell.

I was having trouble with turning my ship slower even with CapsLock on, movements were to great with the slightest tap of the key and I changed my keyboard settings in windows control panel and I swear it helped. My movements are more mellow since I slowed the keyboard repeat function. I also increased the delay time for repeat. Maybe someone else can try this if they are having the same problem to verify that it does help.

I was allowed an avatar after my fourth posting, thought I read in forum rules it was 5, but after you reply to this answer to your question, you should see "custom avatar" option below the "do not use". Moderators are making sure that no bots are on here and sift through each new users posts. If you haven't noticed, "Capt'n Skunky's reply to all new users is the same for everybody. Betcha skunky is the lucky one who gets to look through all the new user posts.

New Astronut - Get me started on where to send crash files to devs
Finnerty replied to Finnerty's topic in Welcome Aboard
Ok, here are a couple screenshots of the first craft and orbit. Poor Minecraft, sitting in the corner collecting dust with the others. -
Blind helping the blind. I'm still at less than 5 posts, this will be my 3rd. After 5 posts, I will say that you should be able to add an avatar. I don't know what to tell you about posting a bug in the support section. Maybe that will work for you after your 5th post. To prove new members are not bots, you must post at least 5 times before more options are available to you. Read that somewhere on here, think in the forum rules.

New Astronut - Get me started on where to send crash files to devs
Finnerty replied to Finnerty's topic in Welcome Aboard
Yes, apart from the odd crashes, it runs great. Keeping it vanilla (no mods) for now to work out any errors if and when they occur. Have one "sputnik science lab" in orbit around Kerbal. YouTube videos are very helpful for ideas and with "what" and "what not" to do. I, eventually, want to put 2 probes into orbit around each planet and moon, one equatorial and one polar. And do the other thing.... Thanks again for the quick answer. -
Just bought the game to take advantage of "The Promise" before the month of April is over. I already have 2 crash report folders I want to submit to the developers, but where?? I even Googled this "send crash file to ksp developers" and I get bug report links, but nothing for where or who to send the crash files to. Maybe I should post this in developer forum also? Thanks in advance.
