  1. OMG what am I going to do!!! I check this forum every day. EVERY day since December 2012... This is even worse then the Kraken attack because we know this downtime is coming... The Kraken strikes without warning..
  2. Ok I changed the link in the original post because the map is really useful. Yesterday when I was watching the ISS flying right over the west coast of South America, it was really cool seeing all those clouds inland and hugging the Andes and then that dry strip of desert between that and the sea. Really stunning..
  3. Hmm grey should mean they are just switching camera's.. if is is grey all the time something must be wrong. Sunrise is just starting now so go look now!!
  4. The new HDEV system on the ISS is now operational! You can watch Earth from space now on the 4 HD webcams they launched to the ISS on the last Dragon flight of April 18. http://eol.jsc.nasa.gov/HDEV/ Note that the screen is black when the ISS is in its orbital night which last for 40 minutes but that also means you can see the sun rise every 40 minutes!
  5. I had the same problem. Look here for how to fix it: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/75586-Master-Thread-Unresponsive-Kerbals-in-EVA
  6. I have played since December 2012 and still consider myself quite a noob. I have visited all the planets and moons except for Bob but I always do the same interplanetary transfers. I don't know how to make a reliable gravity assist to help with the transfer for instance. Aerobrakes are sketchy and I can't make a precision landing.. and when I see some of the great planes and rockets on this forum I feel quite noob. However that is a great thing. It means I have a lot more to learn in this game and that I will be playing it for many years to come. That's what I look for in a good game.. constantly discovering new things to learn.
  7. I'd go for Krash. It's symbol should be a downward pointing arrow.
  8. A lot of people seem to miss the point.. He wants the data to last even after our Sun dies. This means putting something on the Moon is useless. The Sun will grow so large near the end of it's life that it will eat up Earth and our Moon. So the data needs to be ejected out of our solar system before that time.
  9. There is also Libreoffice: http://www.libreoffice.org/ Never used it myself so I don't know if it's good or not. Edit: damn these Ninja's!
  10. Hah there is a Kerbal reference in that article: The satellite created a "high-resolution map of the boundary between Earth’s crust and mantle – called the Moho,"
  11. My FPS was always pretty good but I did have horrible plopping noises every 10 seconds or so. I'm really glad that is gone now. I can finally chill out and spaaaaace.
  12. Ouch my finger hurts from hitting the reload button on the download site every 5 seconds
  13. Wew that stabilizing spin at the start made me dizzy! But epic sounds yeah
  14. I like how Mr. Hadfield is smiling all the way down kinda like Jeb
  15. Keep voting guys. KSP is head to head with The Swapper whatever that is. Eve online is just behind.
  16. That's not the text it has in the game. Nothing about acceleration control there..
  17. Wew that thing came close to the quadcopter when it went down again. Stunning video.
  18. Yeh great commercial I just bought a Freelancer by the way 110$ for a business hangar and 1 mighty awesome trade ship!
  19. Totally thinking about Richard Nixon in Futurama right now....
  20. Fact is that 21 million for a triple A game is not all that much. GTAV was in production for 5 years and development costs for that game where around the 200 / 250 million dollars range. The good thing about this pledge system is that the more people pledge the better the game will get. If they did not reach the 13 million mark I think it was they now would not have their own Mo-Cap studio. Now they do so they can develop realistic animations much easier. Feature creep could be a problem but they do have a good roadmap and vision on where to go with the game and releasing it in separate modules allows them to test new features with every big mile stone reached.
  21. Most people who have pledged know who Chris Roberts is. I grew up playing his games in the early 90's and have been waiting on a new game from him for about 15 years. I spend 90 dollars on this game as soon as i saw he was making it. No scamming what so ever just alot of people that really want to see a new wing commander / privateer kind of game.
