  1. I hope that means the hidden tweakable features of .24 has been fixed and enabled by default.
  2. The problem is that something that has been secret for so long just makes people overhype it by imagining all kinds of features with hype building for each day that goes. If this had been announced later without the long secrecy about it then I bet it would not be as underwhelming compared to all the guesses.
  3. Remember that accidents will now result in damage that has to be repaired, which will probably cost you alot. Even dropping a stage in the wrong spot can now be a risk so I would not call this purely a useless feature even if you dont care about the explosion effects.
  4. It is about what I expected.. But I had hoped the destruction would be more dynamic depending on how you hit the buildings. But anyways.. would be really great if we get to customize and build our own space center in future and maybe even cities.
  5. Then this game is not for you. If they took away the realism then this game would be nothing like it was today. This game already has a balance where it has the best of both worlds, changing it to completely arcade or vice versa would completey change what this game is. One of the good things about this game is that you actually can learn a great deal from it while at the same time it has fun stuff like the wacky green kerbals.
  6. Even though it is good there are workaround like this mod this should really be dealt with in the stock game. Another issue is when you want to send for example a empty capsule. Even if you remove it in VAB simply just setting the action keys will then populate it once more which often leads to you having to switch back to VAB yet again because jeb or some other kerbal decided to jump in.
  7. Sounds like bull to me.. There is no way they can just ban you from using a pc just from pirating and even then that has to be done through court process. Just go buy/build a new one they have no right to take it away from you.
  8. The biggest problem is not that he is in capsule by default, but that he ends up back there even if you remove him and replace him with another pilot. As soon as you do some build changes to your ship or even do something as simple as setting action keys the game decides to put Jeb back there without even asking you. I wonder why this issue is still there after such a long time as it is really annoying.
  9. I completely agree with this suggestion. If you use ubiozur right you can easily cut down heavily on part numbers. It takes a while to figure out which parts can be welded without issues, but once you do it is really a gamechanging mod if you like to build big stuff.
  10. It already has multicore support. The problem is that physics calculations are limited to one core. But yes unity 5 is supposed to support multi core also for physics.
  11. You might be able to use one of the camera mods and put that on a separate monitor if that is possible. But that will give you more of a fixed view so you cant move the view without changing the direction the camera is pointing.
  12. Like others have said already.. CPU is what is most important but if you have a low end gpu/integrated one then upgrading the GPU will give you a significant performance boost. If you on the other hand have a mid range GPU then currently there will be no noticeable improvement even at high graphics setting unless you upgrade your cpu. If you want to see if your gpu is limiting you then you can try to lower the graphics settings and resolution to see if that improves framerates. If it runs faster with lower settings then a better gpu would definitely help you out with lower part count ships.
  13. @sedativechunk Then try clocking it back to stock and then load up that space station again.. I promise you that there will be a noticeable difference. You will of course always get low framerates once you reach the limit of what your rig can handle, but that does not mean it does not run signifinactly better with a high end cpu.
  14. Some of the devs* I wont mention names but at least one of the ex devs said that he/she did not understand why it was shelved because it seemed to add alot to the game. My bet is that they thought it would make the game too hard for the new players so instead of actually adding the ability to turn such feature on/off they shelved it alltogether :\ And as others have been saying.. I would be happy to even pay for this if it was released in the form of a DLC.
  15. I dont think they should be removed.. I think they just need some serious tweaking which was to be expected with randomly generated contracts. There is one thing we really need though and that is difficulty setting for the contracts. Right now it seems way too easy to earn money/funding. I wish it was possible to actually screw up and go bankrupt.
  16. The "community hack" was only possible because squad had worked on 64bit behind the scenes. It is because of the work they had done that the "hack" worked at all. Squad just did not believe it was yet ready to be released or even announced due to the stability issues. The community hack proved that alot of people found it stable enough for a release, which is why they finally have released a 64bit client. I am sure if mac version reaches this level they will do the same with that.
  17. So is anyone having the bug with 64bit version that causes the ship to always be throttled about 40-50% when you launch a ship?? This is not game breaking at all and does not really affect gameplay, but still found that bug kinda odd since it happens with every ship. So I wonder if this is something that just happens on for me or if this is the case with everyone using 64bit client.
  18. I will still probably hit the f5 button all the time in case i meet kraken. I will only use the quick load if I come across a mission breaking bug like that and only if I am 100% certain that it was a bug.
  19. If I understand correctly how it works you should be able to ignore those contracts and get easier ones so that you can grind the money you need from those. This is just what I understood from what was said during squad streams or read on here, so I am not 100% sure if this is correct.
  20. Can always just move it out of a protected folder and run it as a regular user. I have never ever needed to run KSP as an admin.
  21. Are you using any extensions like noscript?? And I guess alredy tried clearing cache and then logging back in?
  22. Absolutely no problem downloading here.. I even cancelled the download and tried again because I selected wrong download location at first. It is alot better than it has been in the past where it could be impossible to reach for hours. The reason for me is that I just dont trust services like STEAM in the long run. For all I know they could one day decide to drop support for a game. Also if you for some reason get banned you also lose your entire game library. At least when using ksp store I know that i will be able to download as long as the game is still in support even if the unlikely event that steam shuts down their servers. There is one feature that is tempting me somewhat to transfer though and that is the in home streaming function, which would allow you to play KSP even on low end devices like a crappy laptop or even a tablet like the microsoft surface.
  23. I would if you could actually get funding from recovering the debris, but from what I have heard this wont be the case.
  24. Kinda dissapointing since they said months ago that you could actually screw up and get stuck if you fail and run out of money.
