  3. How do you plan on making the tracks for the tanks? Or are you just dropping tracks altogether in the stock version?
  4. I believe the KV-1 is a heavy tank, not a medium tank. Also, may I suggest the German SdKfz 222 armored car? (Sorry for a third edit) How do you measure the dimensions of your models/stock parts? I've always been interested in how replica builders know the sizes.

The controls feel a bit floaty though, you may want to add SAS.
  7. Many times I have seen those fancy upward flying planes floating around on this forum. I've tried to make VTOLs before, and they ended up flipping over or exploding in general. However, from my sleep deprived brain, I finally managed to make a stable and working VTOL. *Cue victory dance and falling asleep midway through I present to you... The Turtle VTOL! Action group 1 toggles VTOL engines and back engines. Group 2 toggles the VTOL bay doors. It was interesting to see that closing the door does actually cut off the thrust downward.   9. The first thing I thought of was that you could make the game of Connect Four in KSP.
  10. A cool, semi-compact ATV I made in KSP. It has four wheels that can reach up to record-breaking 9 m/s speeds. It also has 8 LV-1 Ant engines distributed evenly with some SAS to keep it in check. It flies nicely in Kerbin, although I haven't tested it elsewhere. Due to the compact size, there's not much fuel on board. There is some (big emphasis on some) water capabilities; I really only managed to land it in the water and nothing else. Supporting landing legs on the bottom support landing, and there's three large parachutes to land softly in an atmosphere. There's a single seat in the middle for a kerbal to sit on and scream in terror absolute joy. If you slapped on some instruments, this could be a somewhat okay probe. ANYWAYS, AFTER THAT WALL OF TEXT, here are the instructions: There are 2 unmanned command pods. I will never figure out which way is up with the probes, and I managed to put the original one upside down and thus reversing some controls. I fixed it by putting a second probe on, near the top, which you can control and have right side up movement. Action group 1 toggles the 2 Communotron antennas. Group 2 extends the two solar panels (Not necessary because there are some nukes on board, but it definitely looks nicer). Group 3 triggers the three parachutes.   11. I've been toying with the idea of a stock V-22 osprey. I've made a rather bad version of it that will somewhat fly. You have to pull up hard after you run off the runway and keep correcting upwards. Also, if you wish to go down, you have to dip down below the horizon slowly or else it will enter an irrecoverable tumble. It has some extra parts to allow some form of flight.   13. I was never good at replicas, especially working ones, but somehow I managed to build a craft somewhat similar to the Global Hawk drone. I was really surprised to find that it could fly, albeit a bit clumsy. Those little nubs at the very front are clipped winglets to adjust the CoL.   15. I was exploring the possibilities of having a wheel with rockets roll down the runway (It failed miserably), but then I thought that this wheel could be adapted to be a centrifuge. KSP decided to screw all the symmetry options, etc. and I basically hand-placed most of the parts with some copy paste. The usage is pretty self-explanatory.   16. I made a relatively simple cannon that'll shoot a probe-sized decopler about 1 1/2 runways. The decoupler shoots off so fast you don't see it accelerating away from the cannon. For some reason, every decoupler lands in the same exact place. The original used a single jet engine, but, this is KSP! Why not upscale??   18. I don't know what this is or what to call it, but this is the product of me being bored and not wanting to do something conventional. To use it, just load it up, hit space and put up the thrust, and then tilt the direction you want to fly. Press action group 1 to flip engines. I put solar panels over the "forward" cockpit to make it easier to tell direction. There are 2 versions: One with jet engines and one with rockets. The jets are more efficient and stable, but flips are awkward when the jets try to warm/thrust up fast enough. The craft is more maneuverable than it appears, and it's fun to do 180 flips and change directions. I would use pictures, but I sill haven't figured how to do it without the little error image.   19. Okay, I just installed this plugin, but I'm slightly confused at what the "Low" and "High" cutoffs do. I'm really sorry if this is a stupid question, I just want to make it clear.

  21. Okay. Build a rocket capable of reaching orbit. When you launch, start turning the direction you want your orbit to be around 5000 meters - 10,000 meters. After you start the "gravity turn", look at the map until the AP reaches the altitude you want it to be. When it reaches your desired altitude, fast forward to the AP and burn prograde ( Green circle on NavBall). The PE should come out soon and you have an orbit!
  22. According to National Geographic, you would be conscious for 10 seconds and be unconscious for 80 seconds. So you mostly wouldn't feel or know you died.
  23. It's singleplayer and it's a game. It's supposed to be fun, so use whatever mods you want. I DO use MechJeb just because I suck/ am too lazy to make perfect orbits myself.
  24. Kerbol. I just called it the sun until I went to wiki which refers the sun as Kerbol and adopted the name.
