  1. as promised, please find it here http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/98205-0-25-ORIGAMI-foldable-antenna-dishes-for-RemoteTech?p=1503726#post1503726, thank you all for support/excitement!
  2. Foldable radial mounted Antennas to complement RemoteTech's needs, mostly inspired by NASA's TDRS! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tracking_and_data_relay_satellite. There are two dish antennas at the moment, a large antenna ranging at 350Gm for most of Kerbol system, and a smaller on ranging 69Gm reaching all of Kerbol's inner rocky planets. RemoteTech 2 is a dependency: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/83305 Place NAU folder into GameData v0.9 underwent a small model refresh and a major texture overhaul optimisation. 3. Wow, thanks! I'll just make a 69Gm model, tiny little thing, and that's it for antennas, although I'm tweaking this one to less tris, got a bit of lag when testing it, generally the same look! Will release this weekend, hopefully. I'm looking into a TAC LS station greenhouse, and deployable colonising modules, anyone knows how can I toggle crew capacity with animation (0 crew closed, 4 crew deployed)?
  4. Well, it turns out it eats cinema4d with animation pretty well too, because I just did everything in cinema 4D (animation, textures, just haven't tried bump) and imported straight in and it's working, only took me more to find out I was using the wrong version of part tools.
  5. Finally did it, hope to release this one and a smaller one by next weekend, thank you all for the feedback Jeb likes to use it as a solarium, all those shiny parts give him a good tan! "Whoa!, this some big ass antenna!"
  6. Yeah, that's what I thought! It's brilliantly beautiful this mod.
  7. Freeking out on unity, following all the tutorials and it just won't animate
  8. That's what got me scratching my head for start, the common hate for awkwardly ugly IR dish struts! Although IR is brilliant and a must have for other stuff like rover bays and so on!
  9. OK, definitely I can't animate this, managed to get it as a blender .DAE on KSP to check proportions, animation doesn't work, but just to show the scale and how practical it is, here it is in KSP wit a Reflectron GX-128 and a CommTech-1 for scale, sidewise it stands between the twoo, so would be fair to range 350Gm like CommTech-1, and you can pack a lot of them in a 2.5mt fairing (2.5mt cone for scale). SpannerMonkey, my problem isn't the config, is the unity and animation, the cfg just copied it from RT parts, if you know Unity and want to have a go at it tell me if you want the .DAE file from blender with the animation and I'll send it.
  10. I don't like much the antennas on Remote Tech, I mean, the plugin is brilliant, but the antenna models, especially the big ones, aren't very practical. Thats why, inspired by NASA folding antennas, mainly TDRS, I came up with this! The thing is, although I can model, programming gives me headaches, and I can seem to make it work. It's big, over 3mt long, but folds to a width of 1.25 for easy packing and compact TDRS satellites, but deployed should preform as CommTech-1, since it unfolds to the same size. Is anyone interested in further developing this, I'll be more than happy to share the 3d model, it's animated in Cinema4D. Next will be a exact replica of the advanced TDRS currently in space, with the draw back that once unfolded can't be folded again, but should be around 3mt deployed and folded to 1.5mt, also projecting out. Some pics of the TDRS packed and deployed. folded Deployed
  11. Ohh, was about to download the most awesome mod in here, but will hold on for now
  12. This game will last for ever and ever, hope Squad can keep updating it. Brilliant game, just ruined my useful life and caused neglect towards my family and friends. Ay caramba!
  13. Beautiful, I tried achieving this with procedural fairings and dre shields, much nicer! Thumbs up!
  14. OK, bet ther is already a mod that does this, or several tha do part of it, but, lets face it, with Kethane plus, MKS, Karbonite, apparently we are forgetting that when NASA or anyone in space goes to a planet, they look for WATER. Its the base for life, its constituted in part by the most abundant element in space, and can be refined into hydrogen and oxigen, to make fuel / oxidizer. Kethane plus is cool for detecting, but could get the drills to drill for it. It would be great to get a electrolysis plant to refine into 2 elements, make oxigen or LO2 (oxidizer) and liquid fuel LH2, scan it from space. We are having and harvesting all these exotic elements and forgot about the basics, I would make it myself if I could, but I know nothing of programming, I volunteer to do some 3D models though, I'm good enough in 3d for that.
  15. I had no problem so far with your previous release, been playing 0.24.2 64b. Have kerbals on a station, all alive and kicking (each other) Great mod, I must say. Awesome
  16. Mate, great mods! Please update them at your own time and if someone is not happy they can seat on a rocket somewhere else! Cheers
  17. There are mods that reuse waste for nutrients in greenhouse, and convert it to food.
  18. What happens is, the same payload, same rocket, with a FAR gravity turn, Laztek Falcon 9 fairings perform like a charm, while with PF, even with a smaller fairing, it flips once gravity turn begins, what I end up doing is use falcon's fairing when it fits, and PF with control surfaces for bigger payloads. The gravity center doesn't appear for some reason It's not a big issue, PF mod is brilliant, I've done rockets with 2 different payloads with the new interstage fairings, it's just that I like doing compact satellites Thanks
  19. Seem to be having trouble with FAR, for example on laztek spacex falcon 9 fairings works like a charm, when I put PFairings the rocket flips on gravity turn and breaks apart, have to add control surfaces
  20. Beautifully balanced rocket, the falcon9, only used falcon9 heavy once and was way too much rocket. Brilliant, mate!
