  1. Actually I fixed the no control issue without reaction wheels (mostly). I just slapped 2 of those forwards swept canards on and BAM! Now the shuttle is all twitchy with control... too much control... (If I tap the roll key the thing abruptly rolls 90 degrees). BTW, my shuttle doesn't use bendy anything. I don't even get how those things work, all my attempts have ended in disaster.

  3. This bug has been around forever btw. But I think it's more likely in .25 because the plane parts now have lift values, and the bug seems to only target lift parts. Usually to replicate it you simply need to fly far away from Kerbin and return. Like flying an SSTO to Minmus or another planet without ever closing the game at any point during the mission. But it only happens on occasion.
  4. Got it to orbit and back! The shuttle is basically done, just needs some minor tweaks and I'll release it.
  5. GAH! This just in: The part clipping (2 boosters in one) has resulted in Kraken summoning. One of the boosters was magically magnetically attached to the shuttle (what is this i dont even). No. Already have those. UPDATE: Annnd the craft file is corrupted... This is exactly why I make tons of backups during the construction process. UPDATE2: Imgur... can you please explain to me why the image has stopped displaying?! ****, the Kraken has infected imgur! UPDATE3: Um, I tried uploading the image again and it still wont display, yet every other image is fine.
  6. So I I've went Buran Style for the launcher (actually I made the rocket and THEN realized it was like Buran:rolleyes:). Mechjeb's readouts says it should have more than enough delta-V to make orbit, and then about 1800 m/s with the OMS due to the atomic engines. And we have liftoff! Liftoff of the [insert Creative Name Here] and it's first journey to space! Maybe And the boosters have run dry, awaiting separa- BOOM!!! I think it needs some adjustments.
  7. The orbiter is finally done, that was the hard part, at this point I've made so many shuttles that making the thing fly straight is fairly easy for me. All you have to do is gradually lower the external fuel tank's engine's thrust settings to compensate for the fuel burning. The Srb's will be a bit tricky to make, it will involve SLS SRBs, the VAB, and a lot of Null Reference Exceptions.
  8. Yea, I've found myself piling reaction wheels on the inside of my WIP shuttle to get it to fly straight! It wants o just flip upsidedown because the wings are on the bottom. And BTW as a progress report, the cargo bay is now fully functional, it can easily hold 2.5 meter parts just over half the length of an Jumbo orange tank, just like the Posidon STS (more like I just literally copy and pasted the cargo bay with sub-assemblies... Though it DID need adjustments).
  9. Your old settings flies where overridden and replaced with the default settings... So just turn the settings back up again.
  10. Nose is done, it includes a Mk2 cockpit, a Mk2 crew container (only accessible with the new crew transfer thing), and a Mk2 docking port (I like Mk2). Flight tests have begun: Cargo bay is nearly operational: It also has two atomic rockets giving it around 1800 m/s of delta-v (Minmus mission anyone?).
  11. Work has begun on my new shuttle! I've decided to do something different this time, rather than build it from scratch and speed 3 months getting the cargobay working, I simply copied over a stripped down version of my previous shuttle. Of course the bay doors will need some adjustments to make it work with the new parts. So far I have the wings done... I have not tried Spaceplane+ before, and WOWOWOWOW! I had no idea how many different shapes and sizes of wings there are!
  12. Thing is, I'm not trying to load an old setting file anymore. I'm just trying to add my own settings to the NEW one. Yet it still overrides it. Also, is there any actual difference in the settings file? Like a version number or something that I need to change? I'll try Claw's solution when I get the chance.

  14. Actually the tracking dish has turned even on the OLD KSC... Also I've never seen a reputation so low... There isn't any number readouts but I'm seeing hazard lines and police tape on your rep bar.

  16. You can destroy KSC buildings from within the Spacecenter MENU! Also you can throw Whack-a-Kerbal objects out the VAB door and break things.
  17. I've already made a thread HERE. I can't even play the game with this... I have too many settings that need to be changed. I would be very happy if someone can find a workaround or fix. EDIT: And yes I "saved" the file...
  18. Quick question: The settings file is still in the same place right? In the main folder with KSP.exe and not some sub-folder? Also, is there anyway I can tell windows to security lock the file or something so nothing can change it ever again? Also I made a thread about it HERE.
  19. Is it possible for an EVA Kerbal ALONE to destroy anything? Like if Jeb is shot with a Mainsail at the flag pole... MUST TRY!
  20. I'm trying to use my personal KSP settings from earlier versions in .25, but whenever the game starts it sees my settings.cfg and overrides it with it's own version. Even simply manually changing the resolution in notepad will result in the entire thing being replaced with the default settings. This basically locks me out from changing settings that are not included in the in-game menu, such as the water render distance (water+AMD card=terrible lag).   21. Ok, as it turns out editing literally anything in the settings file makes the game override it upon startup. Any workaround? I need to have my joystick working.
