  1. The heat shield and lander are now attached! It's almost ready for Duna!
  2. I like building things that look aerodynamic, but I do make insane contraptions every now and then...
  3. Yep, this often happens when you don't bring the them to a complete stop before grabbing. To save your Kerbal, you're going to have to move a ship up to him so that the ladder is within his "grabbing range." Though that can be quite tricky.
  4. Commander Wilcas Kerman and his two crew mates have been stranded in space for days (note the gaping hole in the fuselage). Other than that, I have 3 more Kerbals stranded in a marsh about 200 Km form KSC. They're from an "aborted" launch.
  5. Many times, though, the original Kraken was slain in .17. But I have dealt with that one too. Seriously, solar orbits were ridiculously hard.
  6. Well, I won't be going to Eeloo anytime soon... Nor will I be sleeping tonight... *shudders*
  7. Well, with the shuttle program cancelled it is now time for a much better rocket. Booster sep! Annnnnd, Orbit! The second stage is powered by a Poodle and three 909's. The payload for this mission is the core part of the unnamed Duna Ship. It will be assembled in orbit and will carry 4 Kerbals on my first mission to Duna in Career mode. Reentry! At this point, a group of scientists mentioned to Gene Kerman that they need to do a visual inspection of the craft immediately after touch-down (it is this craft's first flight, after all). However, the recovery truck was missing. Fortunately, Jeb happened to overhear the conversation while walking by. So he came in, sat down, and took control of the ship. Only a moment later, the ship was conveniently touched down right in the middle of the R&D complex. Oh, and the fact the the RCS tanks seems to missing has not gone unnoticed.... (JEEEEEEEBBBB!)
  8. Well, the space shuttle program has been cancelled... I don't think they're just M.I.A. this time...
  9. Because they are so weak that they are not even considered a form a propulsion, all they do is light up and consume electricity. I honestly don't know...
  10. Once I also had a dream, it was about a distant, small, snowy planet with huge cracks in it's icy surface. About a month later Eeloo was added, now imagine the look on my face when I saw the new planet for the first time!
  11. The one with all the structural parts, such as I-beams, panels, trusses, etc. I was like YESSS, I can build things now!
  12. WOW! Now that was an awesome story! I wish I could rep you again... EDIT: Wait, problem solved! I have finally managed to "spread some Reputation around" enough to Rep twice!
  13. Wow, that cargo bay is bigger than I though! Those Kerbals could have a whole party in there! Hmm, it looks like that panel is stopping the doors from closing... BOOM! BANG! CRASH! *metallic screeching sounds* "Umm, KSC? We have a bit of a problem here..."
  14. Rendezvousing is so easy with all those orbital markers, maneuver nodes, and the fact that is even says "closest approach .1 Km." Before I even knew that .18 would add this, I tried it back in good old .17. I was basicly flying blind... It was way harder than it should have been, but after a lot of tinkering I FINALLY got the ships to touch. Though, now that I think about it my true first rendezvous ever was with a ship and the ***** *******. EDIT: Oops, it looks like I was walking through a tunnel while typing the last part, oh well...
