  1. Hahaha, you're right Everyone always says that I talk way too fast and I guess I do, so I'll try and slow down a bit
  2. They're completely for beginners- I'm going to be doing a very basic series on making a fuel tank which will cover everything that you need to know, and then I'll be doing one-off episodes on specific parts (engines, solar panels, etc.)
  3. Thanks! I've just finished recording the second episode, and I'll probably also do episode 3 now, and I'm trying to make it as easy-to-follow as possible
  4. If you've ever wanted to make your own Kerbal Space Program mod, but you don't know where to start, then I'm putting together a YouTube series to show you how! You can find the first episode below, and keep checking back for new tutorials! I'd love to hear some feedback below, and please remember that I'll be completing this entire series within the next two weeks! Episode 1- 3D Modelling
  5. As of now, it isn't a huge mod, but it does add around 15 parts (currently, but there will be MANY more parts once we're finished). We are going to be creating all of the parts for the ISRU & ECLSS once our custom plugin has been finished, so that will also take up some space. We do, however, use .mu model files and .mbm textures for quick loading (although .tga textures load faster-I may switch over current textures to these in the future).
  6. I agree with you on that, but the negative posts were on a part of the mod which has now been completely removed- this is an entirely new release of the mod, which will be bringing a completely different system into KSP.
  7. The Defcon Corporation Orbital Technology Division has been hard at work designing advanced new parts, ISRU modules, and even ECLSS systems! Whether you are looking to put some Kerbals into space, or even to colonise a planet, we've got you covered... We are currently working on our custom plugin, which will generate resources on other planets, and also add in the things necessary to keep your Kerbals alive. With this mod, you will be able to create advanced vessels, and fill them with life! We are hard at work, and are positive that this part of the mod will be released soon! If you are looking for more parts to create orbital craft, then you've also come to the right place! With DC Aerospace, we provide you with an enormous amount of satellite parts, so that you can design intricate satellites to put into orbit around anything in the Universe, or to send on deep space missions. Whatever your aim, we can help you get there. Probe Cores: Our main range of parts is an entire line of probe cores. We have designed them to match the specific purposes which they were created for, and we currently have two ranges of probes on offer (with more coming soon): -The Voyager Range- These probe cores are designed to allow you to conduct deep space missions, and pack many of the essential parts which you would otherwise need to attach to your craft- communications devices, SAS modules, battery packs, instruments... and, of course, the ability to remotely control your vessel. These cores are built around a 1.25m scale. -The Horizon Range- These advanced cores are the perfect platform to construct your own space telescopes around- featuring large reflecting chambers, lenses, solar panels, and all of the features of an orbital probe core, you can create fully-functional orbital telescopes within minutes! We have also designed a wide range of satellite parts to add onto any of the satellite cores, to allow you to design extremely advanced, and compact orbital and/or exploration probes. You can have this pack for your own space program right now, by going to the official page: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/defcon-corporation-orbital-tech-pack/ A Showcase Of The Mod: Defcon Corp. Orbital Tech Development: We are currently working on our custom combined ISRU, and ECLSS plugin, to allow you to collect resources from other planets, and also produce the necessary things which are required to keep your Kerbals alive! We are aiming to create a vast array of high-quality parts for KSP, which are designed to bring exciting new features into your game, and to allow you to build bigger, and better craft. This will remain the sole aim of our mod, and we will not be considering making the mod compatible with other mods until the DC Aerospace mod is at a point at which we are happy with it. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause, but please note that this will give us more time to expand the DC Aerospace mod, meaning that we will be able to create parts of a much higher quality. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ DC Aerospace by EsvDefcon, MetalMouth7, and Deathsoul097 is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License.
  8. Unfortunately, due to copyright issues, we cannot disclose exactly how this ISRU/ECLSS will function, but it is likely that it will tie in with some of the more popular ISRU mods for KSP.
  9. ATTENTION: The mod is now undergoing a major redevelopment. We are currently developing a plugin, for both ISRU (resource generation), and ECLSS (life support systems). We will keep you all notified of what will be happening next. Satellite parts, and stations modules, will be worked on as normal.
  10. As you can see, the mod is now being developed under a new name, DC Aerospace. We will soon be removing the current mod from the Spaceport, and replacing it with a new mod (the link to it will be provided), which uses a custom resource plugin for ISRU, rather than just adding in generators. We are also adding in an ECLSS (Environmental Control and Life Support System), which will make your Kerbals require air, water, and food, to be able to survive. If any of these three resources run out, any Kerbals onboard your craft will die. This will add in a much more realistic approach to the game, but will not be so difficult that it is not still enjoyable. We will also be providing you with reaction chambers to produce oxygen (which is not OP, it's a system which is being implemented on the ISS in real life), water, and food (through biomass and greenhouses).
  11. Thanks for the info, we'll give it a go We are also currently working on ISRU systems, and a custom plugin to allow you to gather gases from the atmospheres of planets and produce new types of fuel. We will not be updating for a little while, as we are hard at work creating all of the new parts, and coding the plugin.
  12. Thanks for letting me know, I'd forgotten about this- I'll talk with the team and see what we will do.
  13. The remodelling of all original probe cores is almost complete. Please expect an update with them all fixed sometime this week.
  14. The new update has arrived! Please check it out here: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/defcon-corporation-orbital-tech-pack/
  15. I completely agree that it's sad that we no longer have an Empire- I'd love to see it restored (of course this won't be happening any time soon) to what it once was. If you look at any Empires throughout history, you'll notice that they allow people to work together within them, which seems to have resulted in many advances in technology. That would be something very useful today.
  16. The mod should be updated sometime today with two new space telescope cores, so that you can build orbital telescopes. Screenshots should be coming soon.
  17. Please read the disclaimer in the first post of the thread for information on mod compatibility. We will be continuing to work as normal.
  18. Thanks for the info, and if you're enjoying the probe cores then by the way I've just finished two new ones (image of Galileo probe is on first post of thread), and one is also a science module (based on the Hubble Space Telescope)
  19. Exactly, we're going to be changing our current models for the probe cores for much nicer, new ones- I've just finished up two new cores (one of them very similar to the Hubble Space Telescope), so I'll be updating soon with new parts.
  20. As you can see, the mod has been re-released, and is now under a new name. We will be working around building up a mod similar to NovaPunch, adding in a variety of parts rather than focusing on one thing. Expect a lot of updates.
  21. Poll Results- We have received a lot of requests for aesthetic parts, along with utility parts, science modules, and satellite parts. We will, therefore, aim to merge these ideas into aesthetically-pleasing satellite parts, which can be used as utility parts, and/or science modules. Thanks for your valued feedback
  22. Apologies about this, I haven't had time to read through the the entire thread so I have just been posting replies today- I've also just noticed that Deathsoul has answered this question for you, and I would also like to thank you for your interest
  23. Please answer the poll to let us know what we should work on next!
  24. Next update is currently under development- more parts coming soon!
  25. Next update coming soon- radial fuel tanks, new satellite cores, and more!
