    have you looked in the challenge section of the forums?

    It is nice to be king of something.

    I am king of the machingbird challenge. It tooks lots of game play, and mad scientist grins to get there.

    Air intakes behaving oddly

    The reported quantity of air is what the air intakes are taking in minus what (one?) engine(s?) is using.

    I think.

    SO if you only have one engine, you can go all the way down to "zero" without flameout...

    If you pressed X on the engine, you would notice that the available air would rise back up.

    Step one! get in the ship! "Maximum 8irhog Mk.8" is close enough.

    I probably didnt have to use jet engines to dispose of the crew capsule, but better safe than sorry.

    At apoapsis, burning. decently high speed.

    about to stage separate after a second orbit. got to a decently fast speed even before staging. but that is not nearly fast enough!

    but 2376.6 will have to be fast enough for now.

    I am unsatisfied that the game did not round up for me to 2377 on the screen, but that is ok.

    I thought of a few more tricks to eek out a few more 1/100ths of a m/s... but I think I will save them for another patch.

    It is time for me to reclaim my throne!

    And I have done so. With a maximum ground speed of 2367!

    This, however, is not my submission, no. This is unsatisfactory!

    There are problems, bugs. an empty flight events log (due to doing this attempt over multiple sessions). things that need to be fixed!

    But how can I accept 2367, when I know that even faster is possible? HOW?

    or i just might post the rest of this set if i get tired of trying...

    Is asparagus the best staging system? (might contain science)

    First, don't necro. It is bad form.

    Frankly, I kinda like occasionally reading what my past self had to say.

    Recently, I have been putting liquid fuel tanks ontop of solid rocket boosters, which are fuel lined to the mainsails. This way, I use the boosters to get up to speed, while my main fuel tanks are still full when the boosters stage.

    KSP needs a lazy newb pack.

    trying to install all the mods that scott manley is using, having lots of problems.

    Dwarf fortress has this thing called "the lazy newb pack" which, shoves a lot of things together in a easy way.

    It would sure be nice if the ksp modders could make something similar.

    Maybe something with a nice installer, and checkboxes for different mod configurations...

    /wishful thinking.
