  1. Thanks for the confirmation. That's what I assumed, but I wasn't sure if maybe something fundamental about .90 changed that was making things different. I installed KJR and it didn't help, so until I figure out what I'm doing different I'm just using unbreakable joints and it's working fine. I think it might be the wings I'm using, I can't recall if I used the stock wings in .25 at all because I used B9 so much. I'll keep looking around for an explanation, but in the meantime I've sort of solved the problem, even if it is 'cheating'.
  2. I know they're not, but my point is that they didn't break in .25 and they do break in .90. I'm not sure if it's because I'm attaching them differently because of the gizmos or if something in part structuring has change, but now my wings snap off in a light breeze and it's kind of disappointing, especially since they don't snap off without NEAR even if I re-enter perpendicular to my velocity vector. I tried KJR and it seems to not affect the situation at all, unfortunately. I'm going to keep playing around with wing setups and see if it's just my construction method that's breaking them.
  3. I'm not sure if something drastic has changed between .25 and .90 or if I'm just doing something differently, but now when I turn if I turn too much my wings pop right off and my craft falls apart, whereas in .25 I could turn as much as I want and it would be fine. Anyone else have this happen to them?
  4. There's something about the larger probe (With built-in MechJeb) that is breaking my MechJeb data file somehow, erasing all my custom window settings when I used it. Then I found out it has some sort of quantum anchoring effect where it can't move, so I can't use it anyways, so that's no problem. Did anyone else use it only to find it screwing with their MechJeb custom windows?
  5. So let's say I try this on Minmus. It has an equatorial radius of 60,000m (60km). Using 2*pi*r for the rough equatorial circumference, we get 376.8km. Not accounting for terrain (Which probably doesn't affect the overall average too much) I would need 380km/10km/site for 38 sites with an DEMV Mk 5 ANT, correct? And then for a larger body like Dres I need roughly 87 of them?
  6. So, for the "around the world" part of the challenge, is that with every colony site being within 10km of the next colony site with the DEMV Mk 5 (which translates into thousands of colony sites per planetary body)? Or is there some other special rule that applies?
