  1. Thank you! This is awesome for people like me with a ton of mods, I'll try this out after work tonight!
  2. Very Nice! I still haven't put my first station up yet, but I'm inspired to try to put up something simple like what you have designed.
  3. Hahahahaha!!!! This one should be number one
  4. There's a bunch but one I would really like on my latest build is a reinforced truss. Basically a truss and an I-beam combined into one. Heavy but very strong.
  5. Sorry I haven't read this whole thread, but I was wondering what the difference is between the active and passive docking manifolds are? Also, it's difficult for me to tell the difference between them, could you put the word "active" or "passive" before the rest of the name. For example; "Active Common Berthing Mechanism - Small." Or perhaps if you changed the color on the side slightly between the two different modules so I wouldn't have to take my ship apart to see which one I'm using. Thankyou for the great mod though!!! I've been using it since I started! Keep up the good work!!!
  6. Sorry I should have been more clear. I understand how to set up the fuel lines and the stages. What I'm having problems with are balance issues. The kinda of lifts that I would use a 6 fold radial symmetry with an asparagus system are inherently uneven. (Think Station modules) Usually I can drop one pair of boosters without having issues. The problem is, once I drop the second pair, my rocket becomes unbalanced and tips over and falls back to Kerbal. The only method that I have been able to get to work is to first drop 4 boosters, then to drop the other 2 in my next stage.
  7. Let's say my main stage for my rocket is symetrically surrounded by 6 identical cores. How do I set up asparagus staging to that each stage drops 2 of these cores? Every time I try to set my rockets up like that they loose their balance and crash. So far I have only been able to drop 4 of the cores for my first stage then 2 cores for the next. Im not sure how much more effective it would be to drop 2 cores at time, but I want to maximize efficiency.
  8. I also have a question and I think I'll put it in this thread instead of starting a new thread. I read that for docking 2 large ships together its a good idea to use multiple docking ports. Is this true for stations or just large moving vehicles that have thrust acting on them?
  9. Would you be interested in uploading your Interplanetary Vessel? It looks like you put a lot of work into designing it! It looks great! Anyways, I came across a thread here (LINK) that covers this question pretty well. It seems the consensus is constructing it at a minimus of 150 km for two reasons. First, you will be able to use 100x time warp. Secondly, according to people of that thread, if you orbit any lower, you run the risk of hitting the atmosphere during docking if you overshoot your target.
  10. Thank you for putting this thread together! It has been VERY helpful for a n00b like me!
  11. I'm planing on starting any interplanetary voyages from 500 km orbit so I can use max time warping while waiting for planetary alignment.
  12. I have been recently messing around with installing mods that increase the total number of parts in the game. However, some of the parts that I commonly use, like struts, have been pushed back to the 3rd or 4th page. I would like to be able to move my most commonly used parts to the first page so that they are easier to access.
