  1. I second the i-5 statement. Unless your doing something that can actually make use of the extra cores just go with a i5. You'll save money. As for weather to wait until skylake gets announced I really have no idea there. If you're going to get into Star Citizen I would get a gtx 980 or one of the R9 3XX when they come out. What ever you choose make sure it has at least 2gb of ram on it or it won't run well. My advice would to be wait until the summer if you can when we have a clearer idea of what's coming out.
  2. So, have smoke effects from engins been put in yet? I saw that you learned how to do smoke and fire in blender so I'm curious.
  3. He is basically the guy that invent KSP turn based space combat.
  4. I have waited years for this.
  5. So, now that he's back where does this stand?
  6. I can't believe it.... Edit: Going to have go watch the last EP to remeber what happened.
  7. Hadn't thought of those. So that make 9.
  8. Well there are about 7 different basic types of atmospheric craft that I can think of. Fighter/intercepter Bomber Manned/unmanned Scout Tanker AEW&C Gunship For ship naming I generally go by this Three/four letter abbreviation - V for airbreathing or X for space. V for non combat, X for combat, or Z for "ground crew". Revision number.
  9. Except there not finished with the game far from it. Just look at all the bugs the got fixed in the recent patch and even then there are still some things that need to be worked on. Just be patient.
  10. CPU: For what you're doing now you shouldn't have to overclock. It's just something nice to have a bit farther down the line when you're trying to squeeze as much life out of it as possible. I would say it's worth getting one even if you don't really plan on using it as it's an option open too you. So, I would hold off on overclocking for now until you need that extra performance. PSU: As other posters have said NEVER SKIMP HERE. See the above poster for what the ratings mean. Adding up the TDP of the CPU and GPU then adding about 10ish for the other components and then about 50 for overhead is one way. Another is going off of what the site DuoDex gave you says. I'd say, with out knowing the parts, about 600-700W. Another thing when you look at the website for the GPU don't go off of the wattage requirement they give you. That estimate is given for the very bottom of the rung PSU that can't deliver there rated wattage. For example if it says 500W then a good quality PSU might only need to be 450W. Also, you actually read the OP!
  11. Haven't been able to try any of my old craft in with the new update, but they should work. Going to try them out some time today and start messing around with the new parts.
  12. Some of the updates were off but most of that stuff did get added.
  13. Docking and Rendezvous. Still haven't figured it out.
  14. Ok, so not a computer per-say but it lets me interact with it. I'm looking at maybe getting a flight stick for games like Star citizen or warthunder or KSP. So far it looks like it's between the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and Thrustmaster T.16000M. I trying to spend about $50.
  15. I don't think there would be problem letting them sit for a few months. However there's really no point; other then lack of fund in which case you should just wait because 3 months down the line something newer and better might come out. So, i'd advise against it.
  16. Since you just going overkill on just about everything you might as well get a larger HDD and SSD(faster too). Not really a fan of razer either.
  17. My HDD has a 5 year warranty. My GPU is warrentied for life. Case is 2 years. Mobo is 3 years. Ram is lifetime. PSU is one year. SSD is 3 years. CPU is 3 years. The entire thing is 3 years old by now and works fine. So, I don't really understand where you're getting 90-days from. Maybe seller warrenty?
  18. If I remember correctly the last sale was supposed to be the last one before release. So, I'd say maybe wait for the spring steam sale if there is one or go buy it now of of there website and not steam(less DRM).
  19. Third. The OS and optical dive can be reused, and you might also be able to use the case. Everything else is just really old.
