So i've done a few interplanetary trips before career mode was active and was flicking through a few threads on here looking for new more efficient ways to do voyages to the planets now that it is active (.22). one term that pops up quite regularly is "the oberth effect" and i have no idea what it is... or how it works. could someone please explain it to me in terms of the ksp universe and get me on the right steps to my first zero-mods interplanetary flight playing .22 career mode with no mods, used to using mechjeb in sandbox and its great fun trying to relearn how to fly a rocket.

  4. so in the pics below is my SP1 - Raven atmospheric plane. it works... almost its in career mode and i have yet to unlock the landing gears, so it takes off from the launch clamps. it does this very well (after some tweaking of the positions). my problem now is that the SAS, instead of keeping it on course, makes my plane roll... i dont know why. can anyone help? is SAS not meant to be used for planes? i need it to keep it on course since the plane isnt very stable in manual flight mode (hence why i am starting it pointing north i want o explore the poles)
  5. hey, i've been having a problem with spaceport recently (all spaceport DLs cancel after about 15%), is there a way to DL this without using spaceport?

  8. Has anyone heard from the mapsat guy? last post i seen from him was 5th june, i really want mapsat for 0.21 (not the .20 dev build) it would make the game whole for me
  9. when i try to run my patcher i get an error saying that it is not a valid Win32 Application. i cant use steam because it sucks it hates my slow internet
  10. any word on the ISP Mapsat Mod... i know he was working on the upgrade for .20 but never released it, and i never got the DEV build working.
  11. So i just got the b9 mod and i was playing around with the awesome new parts earlier, but i was wondering is someone could help me. i cant seem to put things inside the bay... i dont think its a problem with my installation (tho i had a few of those) i expect its just me being stupid.

  14. whats the mod you guys are using for the cargo bays? i got B9 but i cant find the cargo bays everyone seems to be using
  15. When i use this devbuild it messes up my game. my kerbonauts faces dont show up, they are just blank boxes. also text in other mods such as MechJeb does not show up properly. maybe im doing something stupid, but i dont know what. does anyone else have this problem, and how did you fix it?
