I really love the 1.9.8 version so I wanted to try the 2.0.8.0 version but I'm at a loss to how to install it. It has no readme file. I searched the web and a lot of clueless people got it working somehow. I haven't removed the old parts or the old dll should I? First I tried dropping the Mechjeb2 folder into the GameData folder as one post said. That didn't work. Next I tried extracting the Parts into the Parts folder and the Plugins into the Plugins folder. Still shows me the old Mechjeb. Next I removed the old version and replaced it with the new version and it shows me nothing now. I put back the old version. The only parts I got with the new version is MechJeb2_AR202 Sorry I tried reading back but this is 200 pages, and the manual wiki says nothing. I downloaded the new version from the link on the first page in this forum. It looks neat if someone would please help. That works. Thank you Caldvan. And for anyone else, if you change the key 1, it will give you better fuel consumption inside the atmosphere. Just for fun I doubled both of them and using a probe top, 1 ASAS, and a 180/180 fuel tank, in a really small ship at 3/4 throttle I was able to get to 461K straight up before running out of fuel. Some things are only possible in a computer or we'd be living in space by now. LOL -

Thank you all for the replies... This is a good one too. I'm collecting all these to watch at lunch. And All Scott's video's rock! I have MechJeb but I'm just learning how to use it. I got the auto orbit to work, but I haven't figured out how to dock yet. I can't seem to take enough fuel up with me. -

I've watched many videos showing me how to dock, but how do you catch up to the target ship? Or slow down? I have Mechjeb 1.9 just as an FYI. It seems when I accelerate I move to a higher orbit. I tried slowing down but then I fall into a lower orbit. Any help would be great. A video reference would be great too. ~Gary

Thank you. The owner of the mod should post that. I would have. It's a really neat idea. I was thinking of continuing his work if he was no longer on the project. -

Very cool. Now you went and got me interested in modding. I figured I didn't want to get involved in calculating mass and body weight but structure stuff looks fun. Those light look neat.- 799 replies

It has to be an incompatibility with this current version because when I added the damn robot parts back in, I lost the use of all my parts. I was using version Damned Robotics Version 1.3 and version 0.20.2.186 of KSP. Just a warning to others... I was pretty ticked when I posted. Now I know what to expect. This morning I'll try a load and see if I can get them back. Is there a way to load an old save besides using the main menu? Has anyone else had the same issue with this mod? Shame it looked nice. -
After adding Damned Robotics to my KSP, it gave me all sorts of ship errors when I started the game. I figured I had not loaded it properly, so I removed the DR* folders from parts folder, and ran KSP again. It now says I have no flights in progress. No big deal, but I lost my 8 flights I had in orbit. I wish I had a way to reset them though. Any help would be great.

When I'm in the hanger or the rocket assembly hanger, is there any way to add another tab or subdivide all the parts I've collected into smaller categories? Did I ask this correctly?

Thank you for the suggestions everyone I understand Protractor, but what does VOID do? Remote Tech looks really cool. What can be done with KSP? Besides docking and visiting other planets. (I haven't been able to dock as of yet) I can't figure out how to catch the other orbiting ship.

So what are the must have mods for a new guy starting? I like Mechjab for the data it gives me back. And I was looking at the trucks but I haven't got to Mun yet.

I added MechJeb to my KSP and it won't let me select the parts once I added them to the ship. I can select them from the side, but when I snap them to the ship, I can no longer move the ship up and down. I'm using the 1.9.8 version of Mechjab and the 20.2.186 version of KSP. Did we get an update? I swear my opening screen changed since last night. Might be getting old. So I loaded MechJeb Pod 2.0 Kit from the load panel. I can't select it or move it up as I would a command module or a completed rocket. Thanks ahead of time for the help.

So this is my very first post in this forum. My name is Gary and I'm from South Carolina. I am not a native from this area, and I don't have an accent. We just moved from south Jersey. I'm a software engineer so I hope I'll fit in. I'm a PC'er but I like Mac too. As for my hobbies, I've been in 3d modeling and game design for the last 25 years. Anyways, I've been messing with KSP for about 3 days now and I'm totally hooked. I saw this game on Steam while looking for my Skyrim stuff, (Skyrim rocks to mod) but thought it looked lame, so I did some digging and read the forums here, then went back and downloaded the demo. After playing the demo until after midnight, I got up the next morning and bought it off Steam. Steam doesn't do this game justice at all. You can't get a feel for what the game is really about until you watch a few you tube movies (Scott Manley) on how cool it really is, oh and I had to visit the forums. It's not just another shoot-em-up, or a kids game, it's a relaxing real life thinking game and I'm loving it! I've recommended it to a few friends that may get it. I have a few questions that I'll not post here because this is a hello world thread. So hello to all! I hope to learn and help others. See you around! ~Gary
